Wow, I just learned that the middle finger is not just for driving anymore.😀
🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Universal tool
Thanks!! Makes clear sense!! There is a difference!!
Huh 🤔 You just have to give it the finger? Interesting…
Night and day difference. Pretty darn good for only a short time learning, good job...
Thanks 👍
How interesting ! I've always used my middle finger, but i now can appreciate the difference - Great catch there !
Thanks for watching!
Remember everybody,,
It's your banjo 🪕
You play it how ever you want too, as long as you play it, right....
If you like the sound and you are having loads of fun, well keep jamming...
😊😊😊 Every player is going to have their own sound and playing technique...✝️🇺🇸🤠🪕🪕🪕
I tried the index but always found my middle finger to be more accurate, stronger, and easier to play with. I guess it’s to each his own, but everyone should try both to see what feels right for them. Great video!
Right on
I started as a middle finger player but went to primary index. I now switch between both during playing to get different tones during the songs for different accents. Makes it alot of fun too!
i have started working on switching between the 2 as well. you are right you can get alot of cool sounds by switching out.
@BanjoAddict Would recommend starting to learn some upstroke techniques too! Can be so much fun with clawhammer!
You bought a gituar ?
yea! well i have had it since like 2018..
Great video! I wonder then since my ring finger is longest curled up should a fella go with the longest finger?
Great question.. I’m not sure. I haven’t heard of anyone using the ring finger, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible.
How long and difficult was the transition to middle finger. I too am a beginner and index striker
Took about a week to get used to it.. about 2 weeks to get efficient with it
Will try. I play with tbe index finger right now
I’ve had people tell me they can play soft with the index finger it’s just never work for me. It takes about a week to get used to the middle finger in about 2 1/2 weeks to get efficient with it.
How do you handle strumming? Do you use your striking fingers or the remaining fingers on your hand?
