I Tried Opium in India’s Opium Village! 🇮🇳
Yo guys, let's go on an adventure and visit the Bishnoi Village, India’s Famous Opium Village 🇮🇳 The Bishnoi villages in India, particularly in the state of Rajasthan, have garnered attention not necessarily for opium cultivation, but for their strong principles of wildlife and environmental conservation. However, there is a cultural aspect in some Bishnoi communities where the use of opium is integrated into traditional practices. In some traditional ceremonies among the Bishnoi and other Rajasthani communities, opium diluted in water, known as 'amal', is consumed as a part of their age-old customs and hospitality rituals. The Bishnois are more famously known for their eco-conscious way of life and sometimes their customary practices involving opium are overshadowed by their environmental and wildlife preservation efforts. When opium poppy pods were still legal to buy in America I bough 100 arizona purple jumbos and made a glass of poppy pod tea out of 7 of them and it was one the most amazing and relaxing experiences I ever had. It was also a bit psychedlic but it a nice relaxing way. I was laying onthe couch when it hit and I just had amazing beautiful pictures and landscapes floating thru my head then it felt like I was just comfortably sinking down into the couch. I can imagine its similar to smoking opium except smoking it just hits faster and harder.

So nice! Reminds me of when I was in Rajasthan. Me and my two pals went to Jaipur after being first landing in Delhi then spending a week in Varanasi, where we met a silk trader who sold u the best hash ever, and also some opium. Then we took a train to Jaipur and met a taxi driver called Ali who drove us around the town and then out into his home village near Shakawati. Smoked chillums with his uncle and stayed in a nice hotel where we very unexpectedly met two people that were also from Sweden haha. Smoking opium in the sunset in the desert of Rajasthan is a memory I will have for life. I have a lot of pictures and some footage but I have not put it together yet. Will post here if/when I get my adventure into a film! Nice trip bro, Namaste!
