@@KrystalHarwood-ty7rk It's like any old story. If it is good enough, it will stand the test of time and re-emerge. Phantom has in the past and I have no doubt it will again. Shakespeare's works are still around today in and out in every incarnation, including Broadway. Given how old the original story is, i have no doubt it will return as well.
when the head electrician started getting chocked up I couldn't help it I started crying, phantom has touched so many lives I'm devastated to see it go
I had not been interested and kinda dissed theatre/opera all of my life. When this came to San Francisco, I was talked in to going with a group of friends. The start of this, with the auction and then...! It was sensational from that point on. Amazing presentation and I still have the music to play now and then.
I am so glad I got to see this twice on Broadway. I walked past the Majestic Theater this morning just after midnight (April 16th) and bid "Phantom" farewell. 👋😢
I pray that The Phantom of the Opera will find a new home in another Theatre in America! May God Bless all who love Phantom! I have some Theatres in mind for Phantom to preform on! The Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, for example! Let us all, as Phantom Phans work together to find Phantom a new home on Broadway! Let’s do this!
Without a doubt, the best Broadway production to ever grace the theater. I'm honored I had the chance to see it when it first opened...the music, the costumes, the story itself is breathtaking!!! I'm devastated to see it leave.
It feels like it’s too soon, I only had my first time last month but already I feel robbed because I grew up always dreaming of seeing the show and I finally did. I hope it comes back soon and we have a beautiful sweeping masterpiece like this again.
This is truly sad news but i am lucky that i saw it it was so beautiful the music the story telling and of course the singers were absolutely phenomenal
I saw Phantom 5 times over the years. All different casts which each had strengths of different characters from performance to performance. It was the 5th performance that was the best and strongest cast across the board. This truly saddens me of the closure of this NYC epic fixture of Broadway. It feels like things will never be the same for us theater lovers.
I first saw it in Atlanta with my Mom and then a few years later in my Senior year on a school band trip to NYC. I am so bummed I didn’t get to see it again as an adult, but hopefully it will return in the future.
I attended a performance of Phantom 30 years ago with my husband. The Best, and Only musical I have ever seen, would ever see live on Broadway. The music still gives me chills after all these years. A True Masterpiece! 🎭🎹🎶 Sad to see it go. everything... All Good Things Must End, I guess...? You never know, it may be back someday.
Dear CBS i think you forgot to mention the Legendary Mega Star Soprano, Sarah Brightman.Let's not close our eyes and explained it better .Have a beautiful week everyone, stay kind and respectful ❤
, why would they end it now? Doesn’t make any sense, since it’s so popular and beautiful and time lasting , it’s like beauty and the beast , it’s can’t be replaced with anything else , Disney movies/ music , why was it only shown in Nyc couldn’t it have been saved after the pandemic covid?
One of the best productions ever. I hope it has a come back someday. It is epic.
its closing. how can it

This is so sad. I saw this 7 times live. It's so gorgeous. I know every word.
5 times in 5 different cities

Andrew keep the phantom open on Broadway please I want to see the show the summer
I never got to see Phantom on Broadway but did see the national touring company at the Fox theater in Atlanta it is an amazing show
Truly a spectacle! I've seen it six times, one time even sat in box 5. Looking forward to the day it returns to the stage. Hope I can be there!
I'm still processing the news :(. At least I got to see it one time..
Why is it closing???? It should run forever
It costs literally $1 mill EVERY SINGLE WEEK to host it. Those are words of Andrew Lloyd Webber
My favorite musical. I fell in love with the original London cast recording and then I got to see it in Dallas a few years ago.
It's crazy they closed it. Went last year and it was packed and full! 😢 I don't get it
Sad to see the show coming to an end. Been a favorite of mine. Been around since I was 18. Love the music and everything.

Absolutely beautiful
It was always my go to
It's over now the music of the night!
What a beautiful show!
This was my first attended musical at Her Majesty Theatre in London with the occasion of my birthday :)
I'm sad I never got to experience this. Hopefully by the time the original's 40th anniversary comes, it'll return and I can see it
My friend is the final Meg!!!😃

Saw it the second day's performance, after the initial day's performance, and four other times.
So sad. The first show I watched. In Sydney about 25 years ago.
After the pandemic the show never really recovered. I think you could say the same about NYC.
😊❤😢Goodbye....
OMG 😢😢
Love me that’s all I ask of you😍😘
Congratulations sir Andrew loyd Webber
Loving the rainbow shoes!!!
Three words: Live recording, PLEASE! 🥺🙏🏻🥺🙏🏻🥺🙏🏻🥺🙏🏻
There is one of the best live recording by Sierra Bogess and Ramin Karimloo

Thanks FAUCHI
Very very sad...
Well with its closure now can we get a StarLight Express revival
Good, make room for original pieces
The revivals have been the hottest tickets this season.
NOO I HAVENT WATCHED IT BC I WAS TOO YOUNG
Booooooo! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎The Phantom Of The Opera should've had more performances at the Majestic Theater instead of closing. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
"The opera? I don't know. I mean what's with all the singing, ya know? Who sings? Ya got something to say, say it."- Jerry Seinfeld
Eric Adams. What an embarrassment.

I hated this musical. My friend and I left at intermission and never looked back. Awful show.
What?! I love the music in this show!
