    Wow what a great video. Your a natural in front of the camera. I am finally ready to purchase one of these. I already own 2 godox ad600’s, 2 ad200’s, and 2 V1’s for both my cameras. But I am getting into a lot of action shots for sports and I am looking for a powerful strobe that has the quicker recycle times when using HSS. I was thinking about the 2 head adapter to connect both of my ad600’s but it seems more of a hassle to connect and then mount to a light stand but is a much cheaper route than the ad1200 pro. But since Business is doing good I rather have the 1200 for those super bright sunny days if I need the extra power. And it will be great to have those faster recycle times at lower power. Yep it’s time to treat myself for Christmas. Thanks for taking the time to do such a great in-depth video on this. It’s much appreciated. Happy holidays

    I have absolutely no practical need at this point in my career for such a rig so of course I'm currently saving up for such a rig🤭

    Well I pulled the trigger and I finally ordered one. I’m so excited to finally have those faster recycle times with a higher output then my ad600’s. Don’t get me wrong I love them, but to do multiple shots in bursts capturing motion at a higher shutter speed is going to be nice

      @@Zetaphotography no I still have it. I use it all the time. I use it for those super sunny days and for all my action shots I do for ATV racers. If you wanted some sample photos how would I send them to you?

    Impressive. So nice that the control pack has the same architecture as the smaller lights that I already own. Zero learning curve.

    No wonder why tons of Broncolor and Profoto is being sold off on Ebay. My old stuff is still working perfectly, but if I could I'd move on to modern equipment like this!

    • @mverick160
      @mverick160 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Broncolor Move L pack has 2 flash head option and can adjust each head independently. It also fires in HS instead of HSS. HS gives the full 1200watts of power where when you go into HSS you only get 400 watts of power.
      Profoto uses HSS. Yes, they are left behind. I'd never buy Profoto over Godox right now unless i needed BIG studio power. 2400watt heads and such.
      Elinchrom uses HS and HSS and can intermix them so the ELB1200 can fire in HS for your main and the ELB 500 will fire in HSS for hairlight and kicker lights.

    Very thorough video - thx - I'm having a lot of misfires with the AD1200 and the R2 remote - any suggestions?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Skip,
      First thing I'd check is the DIST setting in your R2's menu. If you were using the far setting and shooting quite close to the pack, you might have been in the radio blind spot. The other common cause of misfires is channel interference. You might try bumping your channel up by 5 or 10 on all devices.

      @SkipODonnell 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Strobepro The R2 is a pretty basic remote. Does it have a distance setting?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SkipODonnell Ah, you must be referring to the R2 single-pin controller, not the R2 Pro. Both are Adorama-exclusive products, and we've never tested the R2 single-pin, so I can't say for sure.

    I have one on Pre-order, when can we expect shipping?

  • @andyvan5692
    @andyvan5692 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    as far as capacity goes, a better solution is to split the battery in two, ie two units, which plug into each other, or have two sockets ( aka a shipping configuration), so when traveling you have two batteries, within limits, and still have the whattage when you go to actually use the pack!! even if there are two sockets, that is no big problem, as this means you can function at 1/2 capacity, aka 600W/s while the other battery charges, so you don't loose out on having a flash altogether ( a bit like a cameras battery grip, two batteries, so you get twice the run time).

  • @grussem
    @grussem 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is there the option to plug this in if one wants or does it only have the capability of operating from battery power?

    Hi Jessie or anyone else any advise most welcome. My intention is to photograph dogs in action including in the water so they could be a bit of a distance from the light. Am I right in thinking this is the light for me or would a couple of the Godox Ad600pro be better for me? Have a limited budget so need to make the right purchase. Thank you in advance

  • @Zetaphotography

    Disappointed there was no images that actually showed anything of these features. Best thing about the other brands is the Color Consistancy across the power range

  • @SkipODonnell

    Is there a way to set the pack to remember power setting after powering down?

    • @Strobepro

      Are you removing the battery from the pack? It should auto save the last setting.

    I know I'm late seeing this video, but not being to take the lithium battery on the plane is really detrimental. My lithium is 94.9 wh just below the 100 mark.

    This thing is trash, mine stopped working after two uses. Stick to Profoto, Elinchrom or Broncolor.
