I started citalopram about 5 days ago. It makes me sad that I'm wondering all the time if this is how normal people feel. I was constantly having self negative talk for years, overthinking all the time and being defensive most of the time. I'm still scared but wow these days were a huge rest for my brain and my soul.
I know the exact feeling dude. Celexa is the only thing I’ve tried that made me think “So this is what it feels like to be ‘normal!’” and then I stopped taking it, thinking I can handle life now, but I was wrong, then it stopped working… here I am several years later trying again, hoping they work like the first time! Been on 10mg about a week, haven’t noticed much relief yet… waiting patiently!
Yeah! Hope still feeling an improvement or just better in general. Start 1st 10mg's tomorrow alongside a reduction from Mirtazapine as got sick of Mirt' (Tried it before, but didn't really bother taking 'em) & Man I hope it just helps get more active + social etc. Bless..
The only symptoms I got was decreased appetite, slight nausea and I felt very tired but that only lasted for about a week and the symptoms started to clear up, please don’t be put off by the side effects, I almost stopped taking citalopram after 2 days but I convinced myself to stick to them for atleast a month and honestly that was the best decision of my life, I can actually live my life normally now, my mindsets improved and I’m a lot more organised, my heads a lot more clearer and I feel so much happier, so even if you may feel bad for the next few days, you’re doing this to benefit your future self and you’ll be so grateful that you started them. I know starting new medication can be scary but your doctor wouldn’t of prescribed you them if they thought you’d have a bad reaction, also it’s really important to be patient with the meds, after about two weeks I felt better but I was still getting panic attacks, I only felt the full effects at about 6 weeks, but you might start to feel them at 4 weeks, you’ve got this

I started Citalopram 20mg 9 days ago. So far no side effects. Dont be sacred of taking it. Keep going with your daily routines and take tjis medicin if needed. And already felt it lifted a little of the depression and anxiety a little low aswell. All people i know who took this med had good experiences. Dont read all the negative stuff out there. We all different.
Update. Now 13 days into Citalopram 20 mg. Anxiety is almost gone. Depression - the worst is lifted not fully gone. But it can take 4-5 weeks for full effect. No big side effects except a little more yawning and tiredness but nothing extreme. Otherwise a little worsen anxiety first week but nothing which scared me. All in all so far so good. Hope the full effects will come soon.

The only place you can find a lot of sick is on wind street a.k.a sin city on a weekend night. You talk way to fast not a clue what you just said you sounded like a tape deck on fast forward. Bejesus your parents must have to wear " Not listening ". Headphones. This is a good medication for anxiety and even better for the depression.
what the fuck is wrong with you, you said you take citalopram so you should be sensitive to mental health issues yet you’ve just completely negated her phobia and insulted her speaking when she struggles with anxiety and depression , which will obviously not make her feel any better. i have the same phobia as her and it’s serious just like any phobia - fun fact - PEOPLE can vomit at any time for millions of reasons and you are constantly surrounded by people. it doesn’t happen every day but it’s the fear that it COULD happen that causes constant anxiety, avoiding any form of transportation because of people with travel sickness, terrified of germs because you could become sick, theme parks , restaurants, ANYTHING. people without it will never understand how debilitating it is. use your brain.

@@searchforsunshine which anxiety/depression state would you prefer? yours, or the one where you lay in bed all day and surely wouldn't have the motivation to make a video like this. obviously you are "entitled" to suffer from anxiety, but you should acknowledge that your state is different and in my opinion privileged.

@@searchforsunshine ive been taking them for 6 days now! i can feel the difference already loll
Is it working for you?
@@violetgodwin677 seriously the best decision ive ever made! the first 5 days were kinda hard- i went to school and felt more emotional and sensitive. after a week i stopped having bad effects and they help me soooo much!
@@violetgodwin677 i guess people go through it differently, but i really think it was the best thing to do! i dont regret it for a second. i dont have any more panic attacks and it used to be daily:)

It’s caused insomnia for me
how bad was you panic attacks before them?
hey :) i pretty much felt like i was in a constant anxiety attack all day every day and at their worst my panic attacks were 2/3 a week and sometimes several a day
@@searchforsunshine thankyou for the fast reply. how long until they kicked in?
Russ C theyre still not fully working i don’t think, ive been on them about 3 weeks so hopefully i will get the full effect soon when i’ve upped my dosage :)
I’m only on day 4 and struggling with these side effects: extreme brain fog, tired, nauseous, insomnia. I’m gonna keep pulling through and hope this goes away fast 🤞
Yeah I had that too. I lasted 2 days. The only one I've ever been able to handle for longer periods was sertraline, but the insomnia and restless legs never went away so I'm just learning to live with my anxiety and mild depression 😅
Google "Pssd".
These drugs are not safe.
How are you doing my guy? I’ve been in for about 10 days now and I’m seeing slight improvement all around and I’m seeing slight side effects in my bowel movements but those have slowly gone away to the point I feel normal today.
@@Boosted_aj I stopped after day 5 . Ended up being a thyroid issue . Feeling better
Thank you☘
Has any one had head tremors from rhis medication
Hey how are u feeling now.. im on day 4 and nervous lol x
hey! i’ve definitely noticed improvements! i’m filming a full update video soon but the main good points so far are that i’m sleeping much better now and i have a lot more confidence in social situations as i haven’t had any panic attacks since :) i say ride the wave and keep going with it, sending my love and well wishes xx
@@searchforsunshine thank u glad to hear.. how long did it take to kick in? Xx
Jai no worries! tbh i didn’t even notice it kick in, i think it was just gradual over the first month or so. but now when i look back to before i started i can tell a huge improvement :)
Hi Lauren, thanks for sharing. It is a useful video for other patients. If you spoke a little slowly even non-English people also would profit from it. 🙏
ahhh so sorry! i’ve tried to slow down my talking in videos now, i used to be so bad hahaha :)
@@searchforsunshine You should be more relaxed. Thanks and TC 🙏
Glad people like it. Celexa made me insanely suicidal, something I'd never felt and haven't felt since. This is not a simple drug, it will mess with your head and I don't think YT videos are preparing people for it.
Omg 😳😳 how are you doing? Did you stop taking Celexa?
sorry to hear you had a bad experience, i’ve been on it over a year now and i know lots of people who have had good experiences on it. definitely a different experience for everybody tho :)
@@searchforsunshine Are you still on it? If not did you get horrible withdrawals when you stop it?
@@edelineestivenne hey, i’m still on it. i’ve heard that if you reduce the dose really slowly over a few weeks then there will be no withdrawal symptoms but i have no experience in that myself :)
@@searchforsunshine Thanks for the reply 🤗 but do you know when it's okay to stop it? I've been on it for almost 3 months now.
Linda
Did u lose sex drive?

sorryyyyy 😭 an anxious thing
I shat myself in public on the meditation day 3 💩 😆. How can you be afraid of sick its not like lampposts which are everywhere.
Honestly what are you going on about
what the fuck is wrong with you, you said you take citalopram so you should be sensitive to mental health issues yet you’ve just completely negated her phobia and insulted her speaking when she struggles with anxiety and depression , which will obviously not make her feel any better. i have the same phobia as her and it’s serious just like any phobia - fun fact - PEOPLE can vomit at any time for millions of reasons and you are constantly surrounded by people. it doesn’t happen every day but it’s the fear that it COULD happen that causes constant anxiety, avoiding any form of transportation because of people with travel sickness, terrified of germs because you could become sick, theme parks , restaurants, ANYTHING. people without it will never understand how debilitating it is. use your brain.
U talk fasttttt
Can’t understand her.
it’s an anxious thing, i’ve tried to slow it down but i can’t always help it :)
advert for dangerous drugs. Avoid!!!!
everybody is entitled to their own opinion :)
@@searchforsunshine My opinion is funded on the fact that my son 16 killed himself because of SSRIs. Since I learnt about these drugs. GSK was sentenced for fraud with Paxil. In particular they hid the fact that this drug raise the suicidal ideation amongst teenagers and young adults
i’m so sorry to hear that :( i definitely think there should be a minimum age with medications like citalopram. i send my condolences your way 💔
There just something very wrong about an hyper energetic person vlogging about anti anxiety drugs. Not really representative of the general anxious population.
I'm sorry to hear you have such a stereotype of who "fits in" the population of people with anxiety disorders. I made this video to help other people in my situation feel less alone when starting the treatment, but thank you for taking the time to watch, its appreciated :)
Lord rupert Everton surely it’s common knowledge that a two minute clip taken each day of somebody who seems in good spirits is not a detailed depiction of a whole day.
@@searchforsunshine fair enough. I guess it makes more sense to show this rather than someone lying in bed deeply depressed not saying a word.
@@lordruperteverton8998 this is beyond ignorant
How can someone so pretty suffer from anxiety and depression? I just don't get it. I've got my Citalopram 10mg daily today. Hope it works 🙏 She is so adorable 🙂. Thank you for the video as it helps me know about Citalopram and if it makes me better.
