I like your method. For a new barber that's tough to do because they can't visualize how high to go and might end up raising the fade higher than the client might want. I usually work my way up like that with tapers, but with a fade I'll set my lowest guideline first, then fade down from the top until I get there to make sure and keep the fade nice and low. Great job for your first video!
I do the same circle motion thing. I feel like I'm cutting all those wierd angled hairs so I don't have to go back and feel like I missed something. some people's head turns red when cutting at the same spot

Wipe CSGO did u zero gapped it? if u did it may be rubbing against the gaurds, check to see where the noise is coming from. is it coming from the cutting blade area, or the body of the clipper?
