This is seriously impressive. Going in totally blind this is much harder than it appears knowing the states
Hey guys serious question, is Nate human?
I don’t think so. He’s so good!!
Master of the craft
That’s why tree house has world class neipa
He obviously knew before he even tasted them. Not a surprise that people are faking content nowadays.
Definitely human
Your palate is absolutely insane. Keep this series going!
Gansett is the quintessential Rhode Island brew and a classic that you can't go wrong with, but one of my new go-tos from Rhode Island has been Rise APA. It is such a delicious crushable beach beer.
I agree with Whalers Rise APA. I think that's a beer that can overtake Gansett as the RI state beer.
That was friggen impressive. Blind taste tests are a lot of fun.
What impressive is how he manages to stay so fit yet has tried and remembers the regional beer profiles. Density-wise, NE probably is one of the most populated brewery regions in the country.
Tree House Julius 🍊 🍍 🌲 is the only answer for Massachusetts
What? Sam Adams Boston Lager!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@viper29ca🤮🤮🤮🤮 Lager taste like water
@@dylanvittel9449 Maybe you missed the laughing faces after the statement. IE it was a joke.
But not all lager is like drinking water. Maybe your bud lite, miller lite, etc, are, but if that is your only exposure to lagers, then you just haven't had a good lager.
This might be the best beer tasting video I've ever seen. I was laughing out loud when you said if you get Heady wrong, there might be a mutiny! The Mass beer (IMHO) should be Julius of course. My favorite TH beer is Very Green, but Julius is what got me to drive to TH from Vermont in the first place. Keep up the amazing videos! Cheers!
Nate has the aroma and taste version of perfect pitch. Incredible!
WE LIKE THE BEER! WE LIKE THE BEER!
Your content is great and original. Love it.
Super impressive. Love these tasting vids. I was going to guess Headway or Sea Hag, Heady, Allagash White, and Gansett, but I had nothing for NH!
Nate the Great! Excellent job, well done.
Impressive as always👍
Nicely done!
Fantastic content.
Wow, impressive! A true beer legend 🍻
🤯 that was seriously impressive!
🙏🏼
Great video, loved the totally blind tasting
so impressive and such a fun watch! this channel is awesome. you enjoy your craft but don't take yourself too seriously.
Muito bom.. Portugal
Impressive, Nate - It's pretty obvious why Treehouse beers rock.
Holy smokes Nate, that was beyond impressive. Your palate is incredible.
Morning Nate. Crushed it as expected!
Pretty solid straightforward choices. I'm from RI but I love that Smutty Nose got some love for NH. I think they're underrated. I especially love their Brown Ale. It's a solid beer to have especially in the fall when there's a slight chill in the air. Go on a hike then take a break to crush a couple bottles of it. Can't go wrong with that.
Smutty old brown dog is soooooo underrated. Maybe unbeatable fall beer.
I haven't tried of all these. The first one sounds like my kind of beer. Heady Topper one of my all time favs. Nate always on point!
Love your TH-cam videos:) I will be headed to your Brewery July 18. Great Job
Impressive Nate!!
I knew before the man started tasting what 3 of the states were going to be.
this is crazy impressive.
Way to go! I think these beers all represent their states well. For Massachusetts I’d go with Julius!
Impressive. Very nice.
🙏🏼
🎉 You're simply the best 🎉
Cover all states like this!!!!! (Not at the same time that would get crazy) Fun series
This is awesome lol. Smutty FK IPA was dead giveaway when you described it AND being NH.
Heady Topper is my favorite in that lineup and one of the few IPAs that I like. I don't have it or even see too often. The last time I was able to get some was when I was at Whole Foods of all places.
MADE ON HONOR
SOLD ON MERIT
Gansett spent a long time going downhill, the current iteration is very nice. I like their seasonals too, I hope they keep it going.
Boston lager would be the most iconic mass beer, though not the best.
Impressive...
Wen Roaring Kitty visit?
Mainer here - Maine has some fantastic brewery's but Allagash white is the only real choice for "state beer". Gotta be Julius for Mass.
You guys are my favorite Mass brewery, but as a state beer, I might have to say Boston Lager.
I live in CT and couldn’t think what it would be. I was thinking Two Roads (either Two Juicy or Road to Ruin) or Counterweight (Headway) but I should have seen NEBCO coming. Agree with another commenter, probably should be Sea Hag from NEBCO.
You did not disappoint in your tasting notes, well done. I was thinking what would be the beers of the major cities here in Ontario and Quebec.
Considering how Sam Adam's shaped the micro/indy non big 3 landscape of the future, I feel it would go to them (Boston Lager). We live in a great time for brewers thanks to Dogfishhead and Sam Adam's carving out market share and exposing people to great beer.
You misspelled Sierra Nevada 😂
@@frederickheard2022and was going to say exactly that. If you went to a restaurant 30 years ago and they had a decent American beer on tap there was a 95%+ chance that it was either from Sam Adams or Sierra Nevada.
@@frederickheard2022 Sierra Nevada is fantastic however, not from Massachusetts or New England. If a topic of monumental micro brews of the West Coast, were to be had then certainly they, Anchor Steam, Lagunitas, Stone, Ballast Point and many others would come to mind but this question was regarding Massachusetts.
@@lukecp I could see that. Dogfishhead is from Maryland, though, so not New England (and not, like Sierra Nevada, the oldest extant craft brewery in the United States).
I’m from Oregon so can’t say but I’d be happy to try them all. 😊
Awesome Nate. I guessed Vermont would be alchemist. How about doing a video on how we as home brewers can get the wonderful hop flavors in you beers.
I'd love to do this with the London boroughs, if there's enough breweries in the outer reaches lol
as would I, but I would have no idea what I was drinking!
Bro, seriously? That was incredible.... well done!
🙏🏻
We need a West Coast connection!! 😅😅😅
That’s a superpower.
Just following along and listening to Nate’s description I got four out of the five. I was just talking to someone tonight about Smuttynose and some of the cool beers they’ve done over the years. Finestkind has never let me down. If I had to pick one state beer of NH it would probably be Stoneface IPA. Some of my favorite brewers up there are Wildbloom, Twin Barns and Schilling, but Stoneface IPA is awesome and is everywhere up there.
I’ve actually never had G-Bot, which surprised me quite a bit. I even cold called that brewery for my former employer.
Picking a Mass beer is tricky. Should it be one of our craft legends like Sam or Harpoon IPA? Tree House or Trillium would probably be the MA state breweries, but both you guys and Trillium make so many beers I don’t know if you could pick just one as the Mass state beer.
Holy 💩 that was impressive! As a Rhode Islander I'm happy you showcased Gansett, but Tilted Barn makes some DIPAs that can hold their own with the mighty Topper.
I wish I had this man’s taste buds and olfactory senses
A.I Nate !!!!
As much as I hate to say it, I think Sam's Lager and Harpoon IPA are the only two beers at the top of the beer mountain in MA. Not because they taste the best, but, you know kehd.
Smuttynose is a staple in NH but they are no longer at the top of the heap. I'm thinking Modestman, Kettlehead, Spyglass, Stoneface, etc. List keeps getting bigger
Heady is the king!!
That was awesome- MA can only be represented by Julius - there is no other 😊
Boston lager 👀
Narragansett is ubiquitous in RI, and a pint for a dollar is pretty hard to beat. That said, I think Whalers’ Rise APA is our state beer of the future, basically a locally-brewed Sierra Nevada and available everywhere.
Your comment hit close to home for me. I left NE in 1968 when the Army called. I had almost always drank Gansett in fact the first beer I ever drank. My father handed me one after a hard hot days work. We lived a couple of miles from RI so it was the beer of choice. In that Gansett was a major sponsor of the Red Sox probably was part of the reason that it was my dad's choice of beers. After moving around some I now live a little over an hour away from the Sierra Nevada brewery in Chico. I have been a major consumer of Pale Ale for many years. Due to more frequent gout attacks I had to give it up. Due to gout supporters I had been drinking Bud Light, ugh, but better than water. However Nate's review of these types of beers got me to switch to Coors Light, better. He is incredible.
👍🍻👍
Hey Nate , I have a 20th anniversary heady for you⭐️
I mean, the most iconic MA beer is Boston Lager but of course I’d choose Julius
I'd pick Julius, but an argument could be made for Sam Adams Boston Lager
Awesome job Nate! ‘Gansett is my go-to store-bought lager. Can’t beat it for the price point…vastly superior to all the mass-produced garbage lagers out there.
Can you please let us know or do a video on the nutritional value of your beers…on most craft beer they are never listed and I m just wondering the range of calories and carbs…thanks
I mean Gandhi bot is probably one of my favorite beers, but Sea Hag is the CT state beer.
I feel like Headway has since taken that throne. Both were created by the same brewer though!
I want to have that pallet and knowledge! How, how, how???
got to be julius
That was a fun video! No offense to Gansett but I’m ashamed that’s what RI is known for in the beer world 😂.
That was impressive. I’d drink any of those. I’ve not had the pleasure of drinking Treehouse beers yet, but my favorite Massachusetts brew I have had is probably…Harpoon IPA (or UFO White if the weather’s right). Massachusetts really has an embarrassment of riches where beer is concerned.
Damnit! My son just had a soccer game in Charlton a few days before I found out about you guys 😖 … def would have stopped afterwards
Treehouse Haze wins MA. Foundation Epiphany is the GOAT of Maine tho
I know that New York isn't New England, wish it was included as well.
Paul's Picks.......
RI - Grey Sail Captains Daughter
ME - Maine Beer Co. Another One or a Bissell Bros (you pick)
VT - Heady or Fiddle Head
NH - Flying Goose Swing Lube
I was initially thinking the Maine one was Lunch by Maine Beer.
VE there are so many. Heady, Fiddle, Edward, Sip, but Heady always comes out on top
VT
@@fatknobby TY.
Murn'in Nate.
I think I definitely would have gotten Heady and Gansett, other than that no way.
I think Sam Adams for Mass
As much as I hate what this brewery has become I don't think the craft scene would be where it is without them. The beer of Massachusetts is Sam Adams Boston lager. However I do think they will be over taken by Jack's Abby.
Sam Adams has to represent all the Massholes, no?
how can i become a connoisseur of beers? a professional of alcohol like this
in our case, almost 15 years of blood sweat and tears
Dont be modest we’ll know who the best in mass is. The real challenge is picking a favorite from you guys. Haze perhaps.
*You're not shouting, "Rally" fast enough!!!*
Make IPAs clear again
we've certainly done our part! #bright
Being an Italian living in UK I'm not familiar with any of these beers, (apart for a Heady Topper clone brewed not long ago) I got to say:
If this is not scripted, Nate you're just... WOW! Impressive skill 😮🤯
Ehh. Cheating, so obvious
This is absurd
Good picks... you got 100% ... for Massachusetts my favorite is no longer a Tree House because of the inconsistency ...and feeling if I spend over $100.00 for 24 beers it should be the same each time... TH is the best...when you get a good batch... I have a new fav but won't share it because it sells out so fast and I love it...
iT wAs BeTTeR iN MonSOn!!
Haffenreffer Private Stock for Massatucky
Love your TH-cam videos:) I will be headed to your Brewery July 18. Great Job
