- Hello everyone,
A classical piece today, from the opera Thaïs by Jules Massenet.
"The Méditation is an instrumental entr'acte performed between the scenes of Act II in the opera Thaïs. In the first scene of Act II, Athanaël, a Cenobite monk, confronts Thaïs, a beautiful and hedonistic courtesan and devotée of Venus, and attempts to persuade her to leave her life of luxury and pleasure and find salvation through God. It is during a time of reflection following the encounter that the Méditation is played by the orchestra. In the second scene of Act II, following the Méditation, Thaïs tells Athanaël that she will follow him to the desert." (source: Wikipedia)

Perfect tempo 👌 Great feeling !! 👌. ( I had to edit and add this ! Im glad to hear somebody else play this where their instrument doesnt get to that last note 🎵! Haha .. In my version , I had to edit that last note 😜. Actually , that note is also played earlier , but I just improvised and went up a fifth instead of an octave ! ) P.S... dont tell anyone ....😜. Great to hear others doing music at home... I do mine on the kitchen table.

You're welcome! I've watched several of your videos now, but keep coming back to this one. I love this one so much. To tell you the truth, I found your channel by searching for "Skyrim music cello" lol. It's my favorite computer game and by far my favorite game music.
I've actually been watching lots of cello, violin and symphony videos the past several weeks and am seriously thinking about taking cello lessons. However, at the age of 52, I'm wondering just how long it would take me to get even half good at it. But, if there's anything I've learned over the last year is that time is short and you only life once!
I love this game so much and I still keep listening to the ost. We will post the 2nd part in August, now we are in holidays. We wish you the best for your first steps learning this wonderful instrument. Take care! 🙏❤️🙏
