HauteLeMode's fashion analysis/fashion reviews are something to always look forward to. You can clearly tell the amount of intellect and passion that the fashion reviewer has that makes audiences drawn to watch more of HauteLeMode's content. Fashion is complex. Outfits tend to differ from one another in terms of styles, sizes, shapes, so on and so forth.
I love how you are so at awe along with Michelle. you have books, you read about fashion, fashion history. Im a teacher who when I get the honor of having a student that unapoligetically know down to details about subjects that others are not even aware of, is a true privilege. You have a gift for fashion and history and an appreciation for true talent. This was a rare treat to watch along with your commentary, thank you.
Luke, thank you for taking me on this tour with you, Rei, and this wonderful muse/collector-these are the people who deserve the spotlight when we try to explain why, and how, fashion is art, sometimes even (or especially) when it’s humorous and witty. Rei K’s work is kind of extreme: I love It. On one hand, she does things like the shoe hats and the hanger vests that almost seem like they could be Schiaparelli from 100 years ago. Then she has her trademark solemn oversized black menswear suiting (I want one soooo bad for myself!) that both David Lynch and David Bowie wore as uniforms, and I have no idea how I can spot those from other men’s suiting, but I just know they’re CDG. Plus all the unbelievable sculptural work she has done-that purity that inspires you to, I dunno, clone yourself, build a time machine, and live a whole live in only CDG because good design probably elevates your life that much. Plus as a fragrance lover I need to point out that CDG does amazing work in that area-aside from most of the Play line, they’re considered legit, serious, !bonus! affordable out of the box *classics*. 5 different incense fragrances, tea fragrances, milky sweet rice iris, a smoky raw leather gasoline patchouli-they’re not just afterthoughts, and they engage with the house’s aesthetic in a thoughtful way. This was a wonderful way to celebrate CDG’s and Rei K’ work. And Anna W is a Dckhead for so many reasons; I can’t even begin to count. She has Kim K at the Met but not real collectors? Meh. Thanks again as always. Cheers! Xo
Can we just take a moment to appreciate those shoe hats 👠🎩 I’ve never seen anything like it what a fabulous concept and she wears them amazing! thank you Luke🙏🏼 it’s so nice to see different perspectives of fashion and such unique pieces so amazing love it 🙏🏼♥️
Yeah, I watched Michelle Elie's collection the other day. She is amazing and she actually likes fashion as an art form, and not just to flex on people, which is pretty rare.
Cedar! If you rent, you need cedar blocks and sheets to properly repel moths and silverfish (without that awful mothball scent). You can also use sachets of lavender, but those have to be refreshed frequently (I recommend them for drawers of underthings and sweaters, but I still line my drawers with cedar if the clothing within is made of natural materials). My cedar chest has protected my furs for decades.
It’s ready to wear because they made that piece in standardised sizes, as opposed to having it tailored to her body. Still pretty crazy to think there were apparently multiple versions of that piece in stores
As a teenager I was super into fashion and considered going to fashion school, I had also other interests and ended up pursuing them instead but thank you! Videos like this one remind me why I first fell in love with fashion and how amazing art form it can be❤️
For some odd reason I want to cry upon seeing that collection...I don't know why but it just touched me in such a way...the motion that it invoked was beyond and anything... I don't study the history of fashion or anything like that....but my heart just start to speed up... it like when some you see make feel too....was wonderful
That was so fantastic! I totally fell for her relationship with the impressive, kind of incomprehensible collection - the love, respect, playfulness, irreverence, and steadfast commitment to actually wearing the clothes. She did deserve a ticket to the gala. And it was such fate that she met Rei in that dress. Love it. Also, Luke! When will you show off your collection??
I love how wacky her style is and that she stays true to it ! ❤ I love that she wears all these clothes and she does not see it simply as an investment!! She truly loves the brand and she is so humble explaining each outfit. She is FASHION !! Thank you for introducing her to us ! 🙏
I hope you can break down some Middle Eastern designers like Ellie Saab, Zuhair Murad and Asian designers like Manish Malhotra, Nomi Ansari and African designers like Thebe Magagu
Rei is an incredible designer, yes, but shes just as impressive as a businesswoman, shes proved time and time again that she knows what her customer wants (she was even told dover street would be a flop when she opened it, and now look at it). But, what I respect the most about her is that she genuinely wants other deisgners to grow, even if it means away from her. She has supported so many companies from her old employees that its not even funny (including Sacai and Kolor) and designers from justall over too, its really impressive and admirable from such an influencial person
Love your content btw. I appreciate how much effort you put into every video. I can honestly say that you taught me so much about fashion in the past 3 years of watching you. I don’t even feel like I’m learning either, you’re so well-spoken that everything you say just seems so natural. Thank you for the content! Ly and your content so much❤️
I always love watching your show. This is one of my favorite episode so far. I love Comme Des Garcons and am always excited to see what this line comes out with. Thank you for sharing this collection with us.
when i first learned about Comme Des Garcons i was blown away by the construction of everything. completely breaks the 'rules of fashion' and is just pure art. it always makes me filled with joy to see her work
Her closet is like an art gallery and yet she’s not afraid to wear it all! I love her, she just exudes confidence in those clothes. Dream closet hands down.
Every time! “Hello everybody this is haute la mode and my name is Luke Mar” my Brain “Luke la mar” (apologies if I spelled your name wrong) love the content lately
YESSSS so happy that you covered this. It is always a joy to watch someone who is so passionate and has an great understanding of the art and love that goes into making something. Bonus she actually wears it!
I loved this when it first came out. I used to model wearable sculptures. I live for this collection!!!! The headpieces!!!! I know how hard it is to store amazing pieces too!
Michelle Elie is a great example of not letting a dress "wear" her. She is so in tune that it is easy to focus on her. Great presentation of fashion in context.
Yes Please. What is better than catching a glimpse of once in a lifetime pieces being worn by an editor and stylist who cherishes each and every piece???
I LOVE how bold and eccentric she is.. And also you're appreciation for how bold and fabulously eccentric she is. This was so fun to watch! I loved this! Truly! Super amazing!
When I first watched this vid on Vogue, I had 2 thoughts: 1) wow, this collection is exquisite, so unique and 2) I NEED Luke to react lol! Michelle is so fun, love her passion for fashion!
I saw that shoe hate and thought it HAD to be Willie Cole! And it is!!! Didn’t know he did hats! He’s so cool! I have a few pieces from his iron collection
I need a sticker with the face of the man who drives the car at 3:00 😅. The way he fails to comprehend what' s happening is almost as priceless as the art pieces showed in this video🙌🏻🧛🏻♀️🖤
Can't wait for the Issey Miyake video. I love the avant guard side of fashion. Didn't realize the shoe headpiece was Elsa Schapereli...I was thinking it was the movie Brazil. :D This collection was amazing. So tired of the celeb videos Vogue pumps out. I know it makes money for them but yawn.
Love LOVE LOOOOOVE! I love being introduced to people who are so full in their uniqueness and they know how to express that outwardly-it's delicious! 😍😍😍
Seeing your genuine love with her genuine love, it makes me so happy and feel so fulfilled to see the heartbeat you have for clothes. That collection was beyond amazing. I'm hoping Vogue or maybe even NOWNESS- I'd love to see her on NOWNESS to be honest, I love their interview direction as well- to interview Arianna Aviram. I follow her on Instagram and I just feel that her love melts through my screen. I'm manifesting her video interview!
My only problem with this series is that the videos are just too short. I want to see EVERYTHING, Vogue, make a god damn 2 hour video per person WE WILL WATCH IT.
This is closer to an art collection than a clothing collection or wardrobe really. I mean she wears it and wears it well, but some of it is just so unfriendly to wear.
The “I don’t speak English” trick is a good way to get out of awkward/boring moments. Though it’s awkward when a friend walks by and speaks to you in English😂 it’s a miracle😎
Uuugh Alexander McQueen 🙏🙄 I was just starting to "see" clothes and have weird arguments with my mom because I didn't dress "sexy", but put things together that she would just be like: "no- u can't do that"😑 and seeing McQueen mix a lot of my art style/easthetic into his clothes in a way I'd be comfortable wearing... Well I wish I'd been older or had the money. I live in the woods so I can't but I love it. My heart's there, and when I can play with my clothes I do.
'life is not a dress rehearsal"
SHE UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT
No matter how u feel about the pieces. It's hard not to feel joy. Just watching her express how happy she is to have them
^^^This
Kudos to her! She wears the clothes, most people the clothes would wear them. Very Fantabulosa.
Yes!!!! How powerful and proud she is while wearing these clothes on the street radiates in the still images.
I just love that she's truly true to the aesthetic. No matter how bold or outlandish, she genuinely wears these pieces.

Came to the channel for Met Gala roasts, stayed to be educated about designers and fashion houses.
Hey I saw your comment on Oh no Nina's video earlier,
Truly, i like to say I like fashion but these video help me learn so much about the history or the designers
We need more fashion/textile museums because fashion is art
Love this collection because of how happy it makes Michelle. She beams with each piece as though she's seeing them for the first time.
I love how you are so at awe along with Michelle. you have books, you read about fashion, fashion history. I love it when Luke looks like a kid in a textile candy store, all wide-eyed and smiling.......such a joy!
I love her energy and reverence for the works. What a gem.
The man in the car's face at 3:01 is priceless. Love it.
Luke, thank you for taking me on this tour with you, Rei, and this wonderful muse/collector-these are the people

Thank you for introducing me to Michelle. Beautiful collection and her enthusiasm is as infectious as yours!

Willie Cole is the artist who helped create it!
He makes a lot of art out of high heels
Yeah, I watched Michelle Elie's collection the other day. She is amazing and she actually likes fashion as an art form, and not just to flex on people, which is pretty rare.

The collection is incredible. I’m only confused at how that last piece that she couldn’t even store was considered ready to wear 😅
Same here! Haha, fashion y’know.
It’s ready to wear because they made that piece in standardised sizes, as opposed to having it tailored to her body. Still pretty crazy to think there were apparently multiple versions of that piece in stores

So happy that Michelle Elie is being featured here on the reaction series Luke. She is such an icon!

The passion she has.. I wish I loved something like she loves her collection ❤️
I like that she has the confidence to wear this….some pieces like that red one, that back is everything. The Marie not so much.
I am sooo happy you finally got to this video. Her collection is INSANE
Love your content btw. I appreciate how much effort you put into every video. I can honestly say that you taught me so much about fashion in the past 3 years of watching you. Please do a closet tour on your own collection Luke! Would love to see it
She's amazing! The fashion muse I never knew I needed, truly passionate about her collection
Loved this video and loved the fact that she took so much joy in these pieces. ❤
We need to see some of your pieces Luke! 😊
I always love watching your show. This is one of my favorite episode so far. I love Comme Des Garcons and am always excited to see what this line comes out with. Thank you for sharing this collection with us.
So much life in her. Fearless and beautiful
when i first learned about Comme Des Garcons i was blown away by the construction of everything. completely breaks the 'rules of fashion' and is just pure art. it always makes me filled with joy to see her work
Her closet is like an art gallery and yet she’s not afraid to wear it all! I love her, she just exudes confidence in those clothes. Dream closet hands down.
Her delight in her pieces is obvious and so charming! And your delight in her is equally as charming 😍
Every time! “Hello everybody this is haute la mode and my name is Luke Mar” my Brain “Luke la mar” (apologies if I spelled your name wrong) love the content lately

Omg I LIVE for the heel headpiece. She’s on a different level😳
Her wardrobe is so much more interesting than a typical rich person’s wardrobe that has 1000 of the same LV, Chanel, blah blah blah
She appriciate fashion she embodied fashion she is fashion i adore her
Please please please do a closet tour. We want to see how it's done!
amazing amazing amazing……feeling so happy right now…we need more people like Rei & Michelle...
I 💯 relate to emotional fashion and would happily wear lots of wild pieces anywhere for no reason. Love love love!
This video is so relevant and real to represent the true fashion. This is iconic. Thank you for sharing this
I love these ‘collector’ videos, what a slice of heaven!
Please do more of these videos. I love your reactions
When I first watched this vid on Vogue, I had 2 thoughts: 1) wow, this collection is exquisite, so unique and 2) I NEED Luke to react lol! Michelle is so fun, love her passion for fashion!
Between Luke and Bliss the art of fashion is well alive and celebrated, kudos to the best in this game.
i saw it this closet and it was amazing to see her collection of comme des garcons
I saw that shoe hate and thought it HAD to be Willie Cole! And it is!!!
Didn’t know he did hats!
He’s so cool! I have a few pieces from his iron collection
Honestly I didn’t like most of the clothes but I love her so much
Can you please react to the 300 Piece John Galliano collection video from Vogue as well. We’d love that . 😊
When she said she didn’t get a ticket to the MET i audibly gasped in public.
She is too fashionable for that
I need a sticker with the face of the man who drives the car at 3:00 😅. The way he fails to comprehend what' s happening is almost as priceless as the art pieces showed in this video🙌🏻🧛🏻♀️🖤
Oh I’ve been so waiting for your video on this I’ve been amazed by her collection
I hope you react to the video of the collection of galliano-designed pieces. That one was also amazing.
"Anna thats a dickhead move" killed me lmfaooo
Can't wait for the Issey Miyake video. I love the avant guard side of fashion. Didn't realize the shoe headpiece was Elsa Schapereli...I was thinking it was the movie Brazil. :D This collection was amazing. So tired of the celeb videos Vogue pumps out. I know it makes money for them but yawn.
I love this woman. I don't know this woman but I want to know this woman. She's fierce!
Love LOVE LOOOOOVE! I love being introduced to people who are so full in their uniqueness and they know how to express that outwardly-it's delicious! 😍😍😍
I'm not the Comme des Garçons' biggest fans, but that room it's a paradise
I have never felt so boring in my life.
6:49 had me SCREAMING
Loooove 💙 the shoe hat! So creative and unique
Fabulous designs, nice cloths and techniques. I love it
SHE wasn’t invited to the Met Gala but Kim K was?? Ok…🤷🏼♀️
The “ticket” dress looks like a bunch of sheets tied together
totally love her collection
I agree, there should be a loan for fashion. I love this woman!
Seeing your genuine love with her genuine love, it makes me so happy and feel so fulfilled to see the heartbeat you have for clothes. That collection was beyond amazing. She’s the cool aunt
I wish I could be a close friend of this vogue editor. Such a cool woman!!!!
No i'm going to watch the og video first , then come back & listen to your thoughts
🌻✌🏻
There is a video on Vogues channel with the biggest Dior by Galliano archive too!
I have been wanting you to react to this collector's series by vogue, finally!
My only problem with this series is that the videos are just too short. I want to see EVERYTHING, Vogue, make a god damn 2 hour video per person WE WILL WATCH IT.
♥️♥️♥️this video it’s amazing on so many levels. Thank you 🙏🏻
6:48 love the reaction.. i was literally thinking the same🙈
Review the Jean Paul Gaultier collector's video! I was so impressed and wanted to steal it all.
This is closer to an art collection than a clothing collection or wardrobe really. I mean she wears it and wears it well, but some of it is just so unfriendly to wear.
This is incredible! Thank you 💙
Great video as usual. Always learning something about fashion. I would love to have some of those pieces. Just gorgeous 😍😍
The “I don’t speak English” trick is a good way to get out of awkward/boring moments. Though it’s awkward when a friend walks by and speaks to you in English😂 it’s a miracle😎
I loooved this one
Uuugh Alexander McQueen 🙏🙄 I was just starting to "see" clothes and have weird arguments with my mom because I didn't dress "sexy", but put things together that she would just be like: "no- u can't do that"😑 and seeing McQueen mix a lot of my art style/easthetic into his clothes in a way I'd be comfortable wearing... I loved your awe!
Love your reactions!! And you 💗
Omg I just watched this and here you pop up with a review 😍

i want to be her friend so bad she is absolutely amazing
If I could give this a thousand likes I would, Luke, this is brilliant! Love her, too!!!
