no actually not when i saw the last ep the last line dlmi said was "you're not the dosan from 15 years ago" and han ji pyeong and dosan were fighting i think dalmi and ji pyeong are gonna end up

But also true that it wont be a surprise if she ends up with Han which will be so sad because Han never loved her from the beggining untill he started seeing Dosan fall for her. Even though he wrote those letters but only as an act of help not because he was in love with her.🤩🤩😘😘
@@eucheriayoung4523 yes, at first he did it because the grandmother asked for his help, but as time passed by you can see that he willingly wrote those letters and at times he himself relate to it as well. it comforted both him and dalmi. and no, actually i think he do have feelings for her from the start as you can see he cared for her but he was in denial as he has never received love like that since he was an orphan so he did not know how it felt nor did he know how to decipher it. so i think his backstory was more pitiful and yea, it's really unfair for him :(
This will probably be my last edit for these two beautiful leads. This week's episodes is the closure that I didn't think I needed. The ship is sunken but as I said, I won't be jumping ship till the end. I still think that they are the most campatible with each other. Genuinely just want to see each of them grow and happy at the end. We still have a lot more to expect from Jipyeong. The revenge plot and reveal of grandma's condition though all of these seems painful but I'm ready for it.

Honestly there is no chemistry between Nam Dosan and Dalmi, it feels so forced and unreal. Whereas Ji Pyeong and Dalmi's chemistry is off the roof. Even their small eye contacts make everyone excited. I really don't know what the ending will be but he surely isn't a typical second lead or is he actually a second lead? XD Because they showed way too many scenes considering the fact that he is a second lead. Because the amount of scenes they showed for Injae, that is like the correct amount. But Ji Pyeong has far more scenes and a plot more than that. I have this feeling there is going to be a open ending, but if they end with Dosan and Dalmi together the whole plot, the letters, trying to make Dosan the one from the letters everything will go to complete waste. I hope they don't do that.
The letters were actually from her grandmother to be exact. Jipyeong only helped to write them. And if he really loves her, he should confront her first but they let her know the real Do SAN. But it’s still pity of Jipyeong, of course.
This is such a wonderful edit... I really hope it's not the last. But I respect ur decision. This drama is actually emotionally draining. I have loved Jipyeong's character and I just wish for his happiness and it hurts to watch him in pain. I know it hurts all of us. 2:17 Team Do San can say whatever they want, but literally NO ONE can deny the fact Dal Mi and Ji Pyeong are soulmates, and this time stamp proves it. They literally just understand each other and were able to talk to each other about how they feel and just knew!! But sadly, sometimes you just don’t end up with your soulmate; and hopefully they’re just there to be in your life one way or another 😔
I think the writer's intention is to break all our hearts by showing Dalmi and Ji Pyeong having the history, but having Dal Mi and Do San being together at the end...if this happen, Im going to charge the writer for my visit to the cardiologist for chest pains😂
I have this feeling that the writers are trying to build this big relationship between them and making us think this is just a second lead syndrome when in reality they will end up together and Do San will be her business partner and colleague. The first episode is the key. They only focus on both of them and their childhood and how they helped each other through letters. Every episode I wait for the game breaker between them but it just keeps getting better. I can't stop waiting the moment when she will realize her feelings.... You can see the spark in her eyes when she looks at him, that can only be one thing.
I really hope that's the case same as how I am trying to see the promotions in a positive light. We rarely get enough promotion of Kim Seonho (Han Jipyeong) when he is a very important character in the drama, like in every plot, he is involved. I am hoping that it's because they don't want to spoil the drama.
Totally agree!! I feel like there are too many hints along the way. Everytime it looked like HJP was on the back foot and there wasn't much chance something happens to bring him back to Dal Mi. Which the writer must be doing for a reason otherwise he wouldve been phased out a bit more at this point. It seems like the reverse it's like HJP is coming to a point where he will have more storyline and Do San looks like he could be going away for a bit. Plus Dal Mi helps HJP and wants to be nosy a lot more than she is with Do San. It seems to me Do San is following her a lot more than she does with him. Which gives me 2nd lead vibes more.

Y’all here’s the thing about main characters. What defines a main character is not by how much screen time they get. the distinct characteristic about TV shows is that they have a clear story line, clear character arcs, and an established conflict that gets chipped away at every episode. The main character is who the conflict starts and ends with. It’s clearly Jipyeong more than any of them, aside from maybe dalmi, but both of their conflicts are intertwined. But it’s jipyeong conflict with the letters and his love story , and Dalmis conflict of starting a business and not regretting her choices that this whole show is chipping away at. It’s NOT about Dosan. Yes he may have his side story but the series doesn’t start and end with his conflict being resolved. the mains r jipyeong or dalmi for me take it or leave it
I commend the writers of Start Up. I like the fact that the 2nd lead actor character has more impact to me than the lead actor. HJP is superb, the portrayal of acting gets to me deeply, it is heartfelt. I cry especially the scene HJP tying up Mrs Choi shoe lace & vice versa. It is touching. I also like the bickering between them. I wish that SDM will see the goodness of heart of HJP. Without his knowing, he fell for SDM in the beginning. I hope that the writers will give a happy ending. The casts of this story & the writers are all fantastic. I always look forward to watch it.
Yes the fact that he's just the Second Lead yet many people loves him and considers him as the best character makes it more impactful and meaningful. No matter how it breaks my heart seeing him in this drama especially in the second half, I still commend the writer and director and of course Kim Seonho who brilliantly portayed Han Jipyeong.
I just feel that jipyeong is a very warm person, every action he gives to dalmi is quiet and quiet. Above all, he just wanted dalmi to be completely happy.
I’m so angry in the character of Dosan, he and his friends are guarding Dalmi so Jipyeong can’t do his move. Dosan is insecure to himself, even though He knew from the start that jipyeong is the one who invested that relationship to Dalmi. jipyeong puts Dosan in the story and Dosan is taking advantage of it. We love someone sincerely, to the point of we can do everything for that someone, even if it means sacrificing our own happiness. But still we stay in love despite the pain. I made this theory after ep8: I realized there's still a chance for JP!!! Being a lead doesn't only mean as the boy who gets the girl, right? I know a typical kdrAma where main lead gets the girl but the writer can be more creative. Right? I mean, the title of this drama is StartUp, both Dalmi and Dosan are the main leads because they are the characters who are dreaming and in the process of starting up their own business. In this case, we really can't call JP as the main lead. Dalmi and Dosan can be both successful and happy. They may not end up being together as lovers, but as business partners or who knows? be a CEO of their own respective businesses. Jipyeong, our beloved second lead gets the girl. He's a second lead for a reason and that is to support the two main leads to become successful in starting up their business/own businesses in the future. I actually imagine the endgame to be like this: Woninjae as a successful CEO, this time through her own hard work, competence and without the help of his step dad, Dosan being successful with his friends with a possibility of making it a global success with the help of Alex, earning back his parents' respect and finally be proud of him. Jipyeong who is now actually successful, will finally have his own true family with Dalmi and haelmoni, Haelmoni realising her wish of having jipyeong as her own true son/grandson, and Dalmi being a successful CEO, earning back her family (injae and her mom), and of course having her first and one great love. It may look like a biased theory from a JiDal shipper, but it's actually not. Think of their main struggle/main goal in life at the beginning: Injae wanting to be recognized and being credited for her own capabilities, Dosan and his friends wanting to successful and be truly acknowledge by his parents, Haelmoni wishing to have known JP earlier so as if she can act as his own mom and wanting Dalmi's happiness, JP growing up as an orphan, he really needs to have his own true family & his true love, Dalmi wanting to be successful, marry the love of her life and have her family back. See? I just gave them the happy ending. I mean, if everybody's happy, then why not? PS. I really ship Dosan with Saha more. Their constant bickering with each other is too cute for me. Also, Saha is part of the cast for a reason. 😉 Chulsan-Yongsan endgame too. 😁

Like he said, he does not lack anything before meeting grandma (and Dalmi) again, he's already satisfied with his life and now there's a big hole. It makes no sense that our pity for Do San's character is the main reason why we should want him with Dal Mi. From the beginning when Do San didn't understand the depth of Dal Mi's emotions through her metaphor in her letter to Ji Pyeong, I wondered why the plot was pushing us to root for someone who doesn't UNDERSTAND Dal Mi. I still like Do San but he helped deceive Dal Mi with ulterior motives (investment opportunities for Samsan Tech and the chance to get the girl) which is fair enough if he wasn't the lead. Meanwhile Ji Pyeong helped deceive Dal Mi out of love for Dal Mi's grandmother, the only maternal figure he'd ever had.

The scene that dosan didn't understand the letter, and the way he changed his basic views (he says not to believe the blood types character, but he tried to change it for dalmi), made me think they wont be together, but the script tells us the opposite, so i just try so hard to like dosan as mainlead, but i can't tell lie to my heart 🤣🤣

As a fan of JP, I would like to see him write Dal mi a letter with his beautiful handwriting asking her if she remembers the face of the young fellow to whom she told to stop following her some 15 years ago. He should put that letter in the old little bird house and email her to let know that he has deposit a letter there for her. If she goes there.and picks up the letter, that's 50% chance she still likes him. If she responds to the letter, that's 75% chance. What do y'all think? 😎
Before I watch Start-up, I know it will star Bae Suzy & Nam Joon-Hyuk which both are actors I watched from the past, and it's safe to say that I have preconception bias about their characters. But I wasn't convinced and drawn to them. And while I believe in conventional set-up Dalmi and Do-san will end up together evident in casting & promotional stuff, the more convincing narrative (and also conventional storytelling) was Ji-Pyeong and Dalmi. It starts with laying foundation between them (kinda like the seed is planted), hiding true identity & deception to protect, giving continuous support, vague feelings & intentions, (for both), Han Ji Pyeong realizing he has feelings, and the confrontation. We will have to see the rest. Superficially it's non conventional, because JP is not promoted as the lead guy and JiDal is not promoted as the flagship couple yet the conventional story & relationship development was between Ji-Pyeong and Dalmi. Whilst the other pair is super fast moving that feels to rushed in my opinion,it's as if they reached climax, feelings are already exchanged without much development & rough parts. I have still strong feelings that if this show was going to be conventional meaning top actors Suzy & Joon hyuk as flagship couple, it's going to be Dosam & Dalmi. But if the writers are creating something that would break that convention, then it's Ji-Pyeong and Dalmi.
I agree. Start-up could either be a conventional or non-conventional love story. But on the other hand, what gives me hope that JP might end up with DM is the fact that the writer of Start-up is also the writer of the drama 'I can see your smell' where the promoted main lead didn't end up with the girl. The girl ended up with the much younger second lead instead which was actor Lee Jongsuk's character. Another possibility is that she wont end up with any of them and it'll just be an open ended story just like what the writer did in her other project 'Dream High 1' which also stars Suzy.
Han ji pyeong did everything for dal mi from the beginning. The way he looks at her with such yearning, it's just brutal to look at his face. The story of ji pyeong and dal mi has too much of a beautiful depth to be sacrificed for do san. Do san is good, but dal mi's first love is ji pyeong. It's pure emotional torture to know that I won't get to see dal mi and ji pyeong end up together. I was rooting for ji pyeong from the 1st Ep.

I feel devastated too ! How cu grandma suddenly shift her love fr JP to DS so quickly after knowing JP for 15 yrs n DS for few months. It really hurts n if Dalmi also feels that way l feel she is very shallow n l am disappointed with her as l feel cheated as l thought she is a person with love and integrity n look how she live the memories of her father. I just refuse to accept this endgame.
Before I watched this drama, I always wonder what happened between Dalmi and Jipyeong because many of their shippers sound really sad, annoyed, and some of them are mad. I thought I would be a part of the Dosan Team, but I decided to love Dosan who wrote the letters and I stand for Jipyeong. He deserves a lot better than just a luxurious car, watches, and some expensive suits. He deserves the world.

Why do I think this drama is messed up? Because the writer made the love story or set it up between Ji-Dal to be so natural and easy on the viewers to accept. Reverse is true for Do-Dal cause all I felt was a forced and unnatural story line. To me, that's the ultimate bummer of this good drama.

they didn’t deserve this shitty ending, imagine if they ended up together. after all those years and after all they’ve been through, the universe showed them that it’s literally destiny! what were the possibilities that jipyeong would be one of sandbox’s biggest investor and that he would find ms. choi after all those years, in the year that dalmi happened to be competing. dosan should realize that his dream isn’t dalmi, he’s dream is himself! since the beginning dosan has always doubted himself and let ppl step on him so i think it would be a great ending if he ended up knowing that he himself can be happy without emotionally depending on anyone! so in my alternate ending, i would make dalmi marry jipyeong but still develop her company and be partners with dosan.

i have a good feelings about Jipyeong "You"ll regret chosing me" & Dalmi "Don't worry, i've never regretted any decision i've made in my life" Bcoz my imagination say that Dalmi will choose him in the end and this dialogue will be repeated as the ending scene? and after that they"ll kiss each other. The end of the drama. Omg please be happen!
That was a very important line, which I think many forget. They told absolutes in that scene “you‘ll regret” “I never regret”. If anyone follow love story blue prints, contradictions are a big theme. I believe it foreshadows the ending. And on top of that, when grandma asked her the first time who she would pick, we never got to hear because the kettle went off, but the scene cuts to JiPyeong. And of course the big reveal at the end of that episode where she in fact would still choose her first love. It’s cinematic story telling without being in your face about, but it’s subtle enough that once you get it, you’ll appreciate the artistry of the film making. quotes like these from the characters mean something (unless the writes are dumb and make the characters say things that don’t actually mean anything or foreshadows an ending). Good writing and good direction will use everything from symbolism(the frieken plant) (dosan even forgot about the plant, but Jipyeong nurtured it back to life), foreshadowing lines (I never regret my choices; I will still choose my first love) and video cuts (a lot of anchor end clips connect Dal Mi to Jipyeong). At this point, we have 6 episodes left. Dal Mi and Dosan have already established a “relationship” like 5-6 episodes in the drama (that’s pretty early) and now it looks like they’re gonna get back together but there’s no more stakes, no conflict, no lie to cover; in other words pretty lame story line. Meanwhile, Jipyeong and our girl’s chemistry and story just keeps building and building(every build reach it’s climax and lead plots usually don’t reach the climax until closer to the end; you have to keep people watching) Yeah Do San is gonna go with Alex, become super successful, and mature. But then so what? He’s gonna finally have a personality and sense of humor? Lol. But now there’s nothing to go from there.

I'm slowly accepting the fact that they will not be together at the end of this series but I do hope they will be in real life. The chemistry is too strong not to notice. The last time I sensed this kind of overflowing chemistry between two actors was in DOTS. They even end up marrying each other. I hope Seon Ho and Suzy will be a real thing also in real life minus the divorce hahaha

@@eucheriayoung4523 yes, at first he did it because the grandmother asked for his help, but as time passed by you can see that he willingly wrote those letters and at times he himself relate to it as well. it comforted both him and dalmi. and no, actually i think he do have feelings for her from the start as you can see he cared for her but he was in denial as he has never received love like that since he was an orphan so he did not know how it felt nor did he know how to decipher it. so i think his backstory was more pitiful and yea, it's really unfair for him :(

This will probably be my last edit for these two beautiful leads. This week's episodes is the closure that I didn't think I needed.
The ship is sunken but as I said, I won't be jumping ship till the end. I still think that they are the most campatible with each other.
Genuinely just want to see each of them grow and happy at the end.
We still have a lot more to expect from Jipyeong. The revenge plot and reveal of grandma's condition though all of these seems painful but I'm ready for it.

Honestly there is no chemistry between Nam Dosan and Dalmi, it feels so forced and unreal. Whereas Ji Pyeong and Dalmi's chemistry is off the roof. Even their small eye contacts make everyone excited. I really don't know what the ending will be but he surely isn't a typical second lead or is he actually a second lead? XD
Because they showed way too many scenes considering the fact that he is a second lead. Because the amount of scenes they showed for Injae, that is like the correct amount. But Ji Pyeong has far more scenes and a plot more than that. I have this feeling there is going to be a open ending, but if they end with Dosan and Dalmi together the whole plot, the letters, trying to make Dosan the one from the letters everything will go to complete waste. I hope they don't do that.

The letters were actually from her grandmother to be exact. Jipyeong only helped to write them. And if he really loves her, he should confront her first but they let her know the real Do SAN. But it’s still pity of Jipyeong, of course.

I have this feeling that the writers are trying to build this big relationship between them and making us think this is just a second lead syndrome when in reality they will end up together and Do San will be her business partner and colleague. The first episode is the key. They only focus on both of them and their childhood and how they helped each other through letters.
Every episode I wait for the game breaker between them but it just keeps getting better. I can't stop waiting the moment when she will realize her feelings.... You can see the spark in her eyes when she looks at him, that can only be one thing.
I really hope that's the case same as how I am trying to see the promotions in a positive light.
We rarely get enough promotion of Kim Seonho (Han Jipyeong) when he is a very important character in the drama, like in every plot, he is involved. I am hoping that it's because they don't want to spoil the drama.
And yes, the look at Dalmi's eyes everytime she looks at Jipyeong. You can see there's longing and connection even before she found out the truth.
Totally agree!! I feel like there are too many hints along the way. Everytime it looked like HJP was on the back foot and there wasn't much chance something happens to bring him back to Dal Mi. Which the writer must be doing for a reason otherwise he wouldve been phased out a bit more at this point. It seems like the reverse it's like HJP is coming to a point where he will have more storyline and Do San looks like he could be going away for a bit.
Plus Dal Mi helps HJP and wants to be nosy a lot more than she is with Do San. It seems to me Do San is following her a lot more than she does with him. Which gives me 2nd lead vibes more.

Y’all here’s the thing about main characters. What defines a main character is not by how much screen time they get. the distinct characteristic about TV shows is that they have a clear story line, clear character arcs, and an established conflict that gets chipped away at every episode. The main character is who the conflict starts and ends with. It’s clearly Jipyeong more than any of them, aside from maybe dalmi, but both of their conflicts are intertwined. But it’s jipyeong conflict with the letters and his love story , and Dalmis conflict of starting a business and not regretting her choices that this whole show is chipping away at. It’s NOT about Dosan. Yes he may have his side story but the series doesn’t start and end with his conflict being resolved. the mains r jipyeong or dalmi for me take it or leave it

I commend the writers of Start Up. I like the fact that the 2nd lead actor character has more impact to me than the lead actor. HJP is superb, the portrayal of acting gets to me deeply, it is heartfelt. I cry especially the scene HJP tying up Mrs Choi shoe lace & vice versa. It is touching. I also like the bickering between them. I wish that SDM will see the goodness of heart of HJP. Without his knowing, he fell for SDM in the beginning. I hope that the writers will give a happy ending. The casts of this story & the writers are all fantastic. I always look forward to watch it.
Yes the fact that he's just the Second Lead yet many people loves him and considers him as the best character makes it more impactful and meaningful.
No matter how it breaks my heart seeing him in this drama especially in the second half, I still commend the writer and director and of course Kim Seonho who brilliantly portayed Han Jipyeong.
I just feel that jipyeong is a very warm person, every action he gives to dalmi is quiet and quiet. Above all, he just wanted dalmi to be completely happy.
I’m so angry in the character of Dosan, he and his friends are guarding Dalmi so Jipyeong can’t do his move. Dosan is insecure to himself, even though He knew from the start that jipyeong is the one who invested that relationship to Dalmi. jipyeong puts Dosan in the story and Dosan is taking advantage of it. I love your edit. I cried. JP is just a fictional character yet it feels like he's real. Maybe because we know someone in ourlives who is like him, or perhaps we see our selves in him. We love someone sincerely, to the point of we can do everything for that someone, even if it means sacrificing our own happiness. But still we stay in love despite the pain. That's why we are deeply rooting for him to be happy, to be the endgame, because that's what we always wanted for ourselves.

I made this theory after ep8: I realized there's still a chance for JP!!! Being a lead doesn't only mean as the boy who gets the girl, right? I know a typical kdrAma where main lead gets the girl but the writer can be more creative. Right? I mean, the title of this drama is StartUp, both Dalmi and Dosan are the main leads because they are the characters who are dreaming and in the process of starting up their own business. In this case, we really can't call JP as the main lead. Dalmi and Dosan can be both successful and happy. They may not end up being together as lovers, but as business partners or who knows? be a CEO of their own respective businesses. Jipyeong, our beloved second lead gets the girl. He's a second lead for a reason and that is to support the two main leads to become successful in starting up their business/own businesses in the future.
I actually imagine the endgame to be like this: Woninjae as a successful CEO, this time through her own hard work, competence and without the help of his step dad, Dosan being successful with his friends with a possibility of making it a global success with the help of Alex, earning back his parents' respect and finally be proud of him. Jipyeong who is now actually successful, will finally have his own true family with Dalmi and haelmoni, Haelmoni realising her wish of having jipyeong as her own true son/grandson, and Dalmi being a successful CEO, earning back her family (injae and her mom), and of course having her first and one great love.
It may look like a biased theory from a JiDal shipper, but it's actually not. Think of their main struggle/main goal in life at the beginning: Injae wanting to be recognized and being credited for her own capabilities, Dosan and his friends wanting to successful and be truly acknowledge by his parents, Haelmoni wishing to have known JP earlier so as if she can act as his own mom and wanting Dalmi's happiness, JP growing up as an orphan, he really needs to have his own true family & his true love, Dalmi wanting to be successful, marry the love of her life and have her family back. See? I just gave them the happy ending. I mean, if everybody's happy, then why not?
PS. I really ship Dosan with Saha more. Their constant bickering with each other is too cute for me. Also, Saha is part of the cast for a reason. 😉 Chulsan-Yongsan endgame too. 😁

It makes no sense that our pity for Do San's character is the main reason why we should want him with Dal Mi. From the beginning when Do San didn't understand the depth of Dal Mi's emotions through her metaphor in her letter to Ji Pyeong, I wondered why the plot was pushing us to root for someone who doesn't UNDERSTAND Dal Mi. I still like Do San but he helped deceive Dal Mi with ulterior motives (investment opportunities for Samsan Tech and the chance to get the girl) which is fair enough if he wasn't the lead. Meanwhile Ji Pyeong helped deceive Dal Mi out of love for Dal Mi's grandmother, the only maternal figure he'd ever had.
Dosan definitly doesnt understand her. What can 15 year old letters do? What a fool.

The scene that dosan didn't understand the letter, and the way he changed his basic views (he says not to believe the blood types character, but he tried to change it for dalmi), made me think they wont be together, but the script tells us the opposite, so i just try so hard to like dosan as mainlead, but i can't tell lie to my heart 🤣🤣

Before I watch Start-up, I know it will star Bae Suzy & Nam Joon-Hyuk which both are actors I watched from the past, and it's safe to say that I have preconception bias about their characters. But I wasn't convinced and drawn to them. And while I believe in conventional set-up Dalmi and Do-san will end up together evident in casting & promotional stuff, the more convincing narrative (and also conventional storytelling) was Ji-Pyeong and Dalmi. It starts with laying foundation between them (kinda like the seed is planted), hiding true identity & deception to protect, giving continuous support, vague feelings & intentions, (for both), Han Ji Pyeong realizing he has feelings, and the confrontation. We will have to see the rest. Superficially it's non conventional, because JP is not promoted as the lead guy and JiDal is not promoted as the flagship couple yet the conventional story & relationship development was between Ji-Pyeong and Dalmi. Whilst the other pair is super fast moving that feels to rushed in my opinion,it's as if they reached climax, feelings are already exchanged without much development & rough parts.
I have still strong feelings that if this show was going to be conventional meaning top actors Suzy & Joon hyuk as flagship couple, it's going to be Dosam & Dalmi. But if the writers are creating something that would break that convention, then it's Ji-Pyeong and Dalmi.

But on the other hand, what gives me hope that JP might end up with DM is the fact that the writer of Start-up is also the writer of the drama 'I can see your smell' where the promoted main lead didn't end up with the girl. The girl ended up with the much younger second lead instead which was actor Lee Jongsuk's character.
Another possibility is that she wont end up with any of them and it'll just be an open ended story just like what the writer did in her other project 'Dream High 1' which also stars Suzy.

Han ji pyeong did everything for dal mi from the beginning. The way he looks at her with such yearning, it's just brutal to look at his face. The story of ji pyeong and dal mi has too much of a beautiful depth to be sacrificed for do san. Do san is good, but dal mi's first love is ji pyeong. It's pure emotional torture to know that I won't get to see dal mi and ji pyeong end up together. I was rooting for ji pyeong from the 1st Ep.

I feel devastated too ! How cu grandma suddenly shift her love fr JP to DS so quickly after knowing JP for 15 yrs n DS for few months. It really hurts n if Dalmi also feels that way l feel she is very shallow n l am disappointed with her as l feel cheated as l thought she is a person with love and integrity n look how she live the memories of her father. Before I watched this drama, I always wonder what happened between Dalmi and Jipyeong because many of their shippers sound really sad, annoyed, and some of them are mad. I thought I would be a part of the Dosan Team, but I decided to love Dosan who wrote the letters and I stand for Jipyeong. He deserves a lot better than just a luxurious car, watches, and some expensive suits. He deserves the world.

Why do I think this drama is messed up? Because the writer made the love story or set it up between Ji-Dal to be so natural and easy on the viewers to accept. Reverse is true for Do-Dal cause all I felt was a forced and unnatural story line. To me, that's the ultimate bummer of this good drama.
Han Jipyeong character is made for Kim Seonho and Kim Seonho only. Periodt.

they didn’t deserve this shitty ending, imagine if they ended up together. after all those years and after all they’ve been through, the universe showed them that it’s literally destiny! what were the possibilities that jipyeong would be one of sandbox’s biggest investor and that he would find ms. choi after all those years, in the year that dalmi happened to be competing. dosan should realize that his dream isn’t dalmi, he’s dream is himself! since the beginning dosan has always doubted himself and let ppl step on him so i think it would be a great ending if he ended up knowing that he himself can be happy without emotionally depending on anyone! so in my alternate ending, i would make dalmi marry jipyeong but still develop her company and be partners with dosan.
If only the real Dalmi would watch this video clip on TH-cam, he'd have known that Jipyeong was always there for her. He's the true hero. He's supposed to be the first lead.

That was a very important line, which I think many forget. They told absolutes in that scene “you‘ll regret” “I never regret”. If anyone follow love story blue prints, contradictions are a big theme. I believe it foreshadows the ending. And on top of that, when grandma asked her the first time who she would pick, we never got to hear because the kettle went off, but the scene cuts to JiPyeong. And of course the big reveal at the end of that episode where she in fact would still choose her first love. It’s cinematic story telling without being in your face about, but it’s subtle enough that once you get it, you’ll appreciate the artistry of the film making. quotes like these from the characters mean something (unless the writes are dumb and make the characters say things that don’t actually mean anything or foreshadows an ending). Good writing and good direction will use everything from symbolism(the frieken plant) (dosan even forgot about the plant, but Jipyeong nurtured it back to life), foreshadowing lines (I never regret my choices; I will still choose my first love) and video cuts (a lot of anchor end clips connect Dal Mi to Jipyeong). At this point, we have 6 episodes left. Dal Mi and Dosan have already established a “relationship” like 5-6 episodes in the drama (that’s pretty early) and now it looks like they’re gonna get back together but there’s no more stakes, no conflict, no lie to cover; in other words pretty lame story line. Meanwhile, Jipyeong and our girl’s chemistry and story just keeps building and building(every build reach it’s climax and lead plots usually don’t reach the climax until closer to the end; you have to keep people watching) Yeah Do San is gonna go with Alex, become super successful, and mature. But then so what? He’s gonna finally have a personality and sense of humor? Lol. But now there’s nothing to go from there.

I'm slowly accepting the fact that they will not be together at the end of this series but I do hope they will be in real life. The chemistry is too strong not to notice. The last time I sensed this kind of overflowing chemistry between two actors was in DOTS. They even end up marrying each other.
