I just love the people complaining that you don’t control the weather. It’s like they think you’re making it up. People who have no clue. I’m very novice at interpreting the models but I learned how to read them back when I was on call to plow. You do a great job and I’m enjoying your videos
I love your forecasts and how thorough you are with each model. I have learned so much about meteorology by listening in each day. Ever since I was a young girl I was always fascinated with how the weather worked. Friends would tease me because I used to watch the weather channel for hours at a time! Of course this was back in the day before TH-cam.
Ashton, you do a fantastic job of bringing our Daily weather report. Young Man, I give you a CLASS A PLUS FOR EFFORT, keep up the great work, my friend. Thank you for posting.
DW, I find it all interesting. Don't worry; there are those of us who love what you do, and your format is amazing to follow. Keep up the good work! PS: You have been "one the money" each and every time! Thanks, from your DC follower.
That would be crazy if it snowed again in the south again because it’s so rare for us to get snow down here but it’s looking like this is the south’s year for snow ❄️ about time
And Atlanta got 4-5 inches, but us way up I-85 in Hartwell (far northeast Georgia) got maybe 1-2… and yet the post office, McDonalds were shut. Grew up in Philly, 1-2 is nothing
Yes. Unusual to go this long without having to track any noreasters. Every one either tracks to far south or goes to the west of us and brings mild air like the one this weekend coming.
Really hoping for the Northeast to get that first smaller storm during this weekend. Because my gut is telling my that southern storm is not going to pull up the coast. So just in case it doesn't, it'd be nice to get SOMETHING. Northeast is getting nada so far this winter.
Ignore the hate. Keep up the good work! I enjoy your videos. I live in Southern Maryland (Western Shore of the Chesapeake Bay). You were spot on when we got hammered with our first significant snow storm. We received 10 inches and the second round another 2 inches. 3rd round, not so much. Looking forward to the next significant storm to hit. I enjoy your channel! Keep up the good work! ❤
Im in Southern MD as well! Hey neighbor! I’m hoping we get another good amount of snow! It feels like the last 2 years or so we’ve barely seen any so I get excited when we actually get a good one!
@blueeyedbeauty2496 Amen to that! I just am praying we don't get any ice. The Ice storm in 94', I lost power for 8 days and 15 trees. The sound of them breaking at night still haunts me! LOL! You never knew if they would fall in the yard or on the house!
I lived in Augusta, Georgia in 1973, and that February we had a huge, unusual snowstorm with this same scenario….of course we didn’t know it was coming at that time. I had 14” of snow in my backyard!
I definitely want snow in south central PA but it is what it is. I truly enjoy watching all the possibilities. Weather is fascinating/exciting to me so I really appreciate that you show stuff like this. Thank you. ❤
@@frankfernandez6027 gotcha yea thats quite a bit, I lived in the dmv my whole life, i remember the blizzard of 2010 it was about the same or more snow amount. About 2 feet of snow or more. Was out of school for like more than 2 or 3 weeks.
I think we’re pretty close to nailing down the winter storm next week. The trend right now is showing 3 to 6 inches of snow through central ga. Which would be like getting a foot or more up in Philly
Sadness for the snowmobile folks in WI/MN,should just take those machines south and use them. And misery for those that have to deal with frozen water pipes(no snow cover).
Since l started living in Georgia, which has been almost 15 years now, never have I seen 7 inches of snow. That's what it is saying for our next go round. Looks like I'm not going anywhere for a while if it does end up that way
The most snow that New Orleans has gotten (in one storm) in the last 100 years is 4.5 inches on December 31, 1963. They received a little more than that in a storm in the 1890’s…(about 130 years ago) . In Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, they received about 10 inches on the December 1963 storm…The highest amount for any city for that Dec. 31 - Jan 1, 1964 storm was 17.5 inches in Huntsville, Alabama.
Im a Northeast Ohioan and im so happy with this winter for us. Finally we're getting cold and snowfall like we used to when I was growing up, not the weak winters we've had for the past 4 years. Still cold but very limited snowfall until now. I love your channel man been watching daily for awhile. Keep up the great work.
Considering the euro has been pretty spot on lsdt few winters. Id probably look at that 1st especially onnthe short range until the gfs gets its stuff together
Both of the gfs storms are further south and as we know the gfs tends to bring things to far south in early model runs so I suspect it will correct to the euro patterns.. I also doubt the south will get 2 big snows and the northeast will get screwed again… we shall see tho
I am in Island Heights, NJ. Ocean County. About 1 hour north of Atlantic City on the NJ coast. Brother in Austin, Texas. Best chance in a while to cash in finally on the snow. Still 1 week away. Don't want to get too excited. ❄️
Usually, the Euro is more reliable. Yet, I'm sure that the GFS will be right again since it is the one saying no snow in No Snow Southern New England. That has been the trend. You can bet the farm on it.
The winters here in south central pa have been super mild in the last 35yrs, longer then u've been alive lol 72 was the worst I've personally experienced...
It’s a very rare snowstorm. We’ve had snow for 100 years. Nothing’s rare and we don’t never get no snow in Concord, North Carolina Carolina and I believe it when I say we get it.
Hopefully the Euro is on to something for Sunday Monday and Wednesday Thursday for NJ. To me the GFS has a South and East bias. It's not likely the GFS print outs will verify for the Carolinas.

As someone who plows snow in southern new england it kinda pisses me off seeing real sothern states getting more snow than we have gotten in 2 wwinters…
What are you talking about? I remember the past couple years the rain snow line has stayed south of you guys giving you all snow but it’s been rain by the coast the past 4 years
@@nateoghlian1308 I am in the Poughkeepsie area and we have hardly gotten anything. Maybe one storm that brought 5 or 6 inches and a couple of 1 to 3 inchers. im in the north east and all of these "massive storms" that are goin to hit us in these models turn into nothing... yet i still tune in lol

Yep...but here I am...😂
Yeah, it's every other day now lol. Maybe some day over the next few years we will actually get a real blizzard again. We are due
I miss those storms. I can't wait for the inevitable snowstorm that hits the northeast.

The models missed the winter storm we had on last Friday.
@ I'm off US 29 and Home Depot. You must have gotten some lake effect enhancement 🙂
Bring that snow on DOWN!...Huntsville,Alabama here.🙂
We need snow - the rivers are low. Our wells are low. Tge flowers need water. Germs need cold to kill them off. And yea we need to air out our houses.
That makes us three snowstorms that hit Virginia. Wow
Yes Florida is getting snow. I have been telling my family for two weeks watching your videos. I knew it was going to happen
As someone who lives in NYC I’ve given up on snow lol
As someone who doesn't...
I'm glad I DON'T.
I'm almost certain that the Mid-Atlantic and Southern New England have a snow shield, just cold dry wind chills over here
It's been weird, right?
Same can be said here in Southern Ontario around Toronto, Hamilton,Niagara.

Dallas Texas has had more snow than NY has this year.
