I told a family member an hour ago that I was waiting for Ryan to weigh in before I got wound up over winter weather in south Georgia. I just watched ...then put in a call for more firewood. Now I will go cook up the stuff in the freezer. No way we get through this without losing power!
I used to live up north with massive snow for awhile, if your power goes out and your worried about food in your fridge, put it in a cooler and set it outside on your back porch or truck bed, cause it’ll be super cold out there anyways. We lost power once and just put food on a table on the back deck so the dogs couldn’t get it and we could heat the house while keeping the food cold.
@@danielsaxon2206 I was going to say the same thing. Here in Texas when we had snow apocalypse back in 2021 and a lot of people lost power they threw out their food instead of putting it outside in their car or in coolers or whatever.
Lol. A lot of our animals are created specifically to not only withstand, but prefer the cold. Animals aren't people, and should be respected as what they are. Many of them require shelter and extra insulation from the elements, while others do just fine and thrive in the cold.
Although I agree to do what you can for some animals that require that, a lot of farm animals are fine with the cold. Making sure they have a place to get out of wind and rain is the most concern. But for Instance, my ducks are fine down to 0, and my chickens are fine well below 0. Chickens can pump out some heat like you wouldn't believe
Worried about my Houston friends after seeing this. Multiple waves of freezing precipitation? Please, everyone, stay home the 23rd. Even if you know how to drive on frozen roads, very few others in that area do, and that's not even accounting for the infrastructure challenges in that area. And yeah, I hope the grid holds up. I was there in the "rolling" blackouts (that rolled in but didn't roll away again) in '21. But after seeing there's going to be wave after wave of this, I definitely fear the winter-fragile grid won't hold up. ERCOT has largely been banking on "Well at least that was a once-in-a-century weather event" to prevent a recurrence.
you have some of the best leaders in the free world so I'm sure you will be fine. I hear legislators have been focused on making sure the utility companies are doing what they need to do in order to avoid a repeat of the 2021 rather than focusing on making sure you can't own more than 6 adult toys and other silly things like that.

Bring your babies inside or give them a WARM and proper shelter! Report neighbors who are leaving their pets outside during this. (Unless it’s a husky. I’m sure the owner will already be frustrated bc it won’t come inside😂)
Poor husky owners will have to go outside to literally drag them inside & they'll probably fail a couple of times at least.😁 My cats will be inside with me nice & warm more than likely. Mostly because my fibromyalgia hates the cold. As a result I have to keep it warmer. So even if I leave for a couple days I leave it warmer than others do. Ryan, the last time south Georgia and North Florida had this kind of winter weather was in the 1990s. We had packed up the kids and headed to North Georgia Georgia to the grandparents house for snow and it went way south. Our church in High springs FL had stranded people sleeping in the pews while we provided food and blankets.

Thanks, Ryan & TEAM.... Was hoping to hear from you today, prior to this weekends incoming weather.
Thank you, Ryan for the weather update I really appreciate what you and your crew does
Ryan, the last time south Georgia and North Florida had this kind of winter weather was in the 1990s. We had packed up the kids and headed to North Georgia Georgia to the grandparents house for snow and it went way south. Our church in High springs FL had stranded people sleeping in the pews while we provided food and blankets.
Thank you!! I am so confident to make plans after I have seen your forecasts!
Thanks for keepin us in the know! Gunna be cold here in Tennessee!
In North Florida/west of Cedar key, there's a good possibility of 1"-one & 1/2" of rain Saturday and Sunday🎉 we need it!
Thank you for the heads up Ryan. It appears this could be a real one!!

Y'all need to get some chasers in Pensacola dalphin island destin . That would be fun to watch all those folks enjoying some snow . God bless all enjoy some real seafood and have fun. Respect from Readyville Tn.

Thank You, Ryan. I have to say KY as of late has seen more snow than Central MI where I live. BUT I finally saw a snow mobile out and about where as the last 2-3 years I didn't even see one on a trailer. Have a good day. 😊
Thank you Ryan, ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND ❤
