Rhythm is a full grown Border Collie. Their breed has been determined as the smartest breed in the world. I had one for 14 years. Smartest dog I've been around in my 80 years. She could learn a trick in one minute and never forget it.

I was so upset, i watched this whole seaon and was so looking forward to watching the finale last night only to have my dang satellite not to work. I missed the whole thing😢 So so glad that Mr Richard won though! I was on his side the whole time😊 i loved watching this humble man in the first act turn into a true Rockstar. It's called America's Got Talent, NOT Heart or Sob story or ... The winner should be the MOST TALENTED. Tired of everybody blubbering over the contestant's backstory. If that's all you have get off the stage!!

While I understand America's love of Richard's story I strongly think that the other acts that weren't singers put in enormous more time, effort and true talent in comparison. One of those acts should have won IMHO.
The best AGT Final show I have seen. The finalists were great, enjoyed the guest performers, liked now contestants performed together , and getting to know them more personally. Very good snow!
Richard is surely amazing and I connect with him because I was raised with the same music he was. In fact, 'Faithfully' was my favorite song in grade 8, or so, and I remember my girlfriends and I freaking out when a Journey cover band (who were very easy on the eyes on top of sounding exactly like Journey) played that very song in our school gym. We were melting!!! My first live concert too! Richard brought back those memories for me with his incredible voice that sounds just like the original! But as a dog and horse trainer myself, I've never seen a dog truly dancing with a person like I've seen in these performances. When he did that footwork in rhythm with the music, pausing and stepping in perfect timing all on his own, I was astonished. I couldn't work out how one would teach such a thing to a dog. He's not just doing the 'tricks' or a routine, he really is listening to the music, adapting to her precise movements in real time, and seems to understand the connection between music and dancing and that he is 'performing'. Collie's have proven that they are the most intelligent dogs humans have ever created. But this particular dog has soul too! Truly the most incredible thing I've seen in my entire life. And I've been here for a while now. What a treat to see a dog and a woman dancing in such beautiful harmony. Awesome!
