- Jackery have just given me their new 2000 Plus Power Station to trial folks. This should come in handy not only out camping but around the house after I lose power after a cyclone. I have a basic look over the jackery in this clip and provide comments on what I think are some of the pro's and Con's.

Fantastic little bit of gear mate I used Stephen’s 1000w over the weekend when we were away and mate I was blown away on how well they work we ran starlink for 24hrs and the battery % went down to 60% if I had the capital gains to get 1 I would congratulations mate 👍
Rain rain
Lots of it
What's the battery size
Buck is growing webbed feet ! 😅 Arrh covis, too you can't take a trick!
Whoa thats very very expensive Buck! 😮
As a back up in a cyclone situation or power outage you'd be better off installing a purpose built Solar Battery connected to your house solar system.
A 5kw Tesla Power Wall is around $10k.
Also the cost of a 200ah lifepo4 battery is around $700 and falling Vs $2000 for the Jackery additional battery pack.
Well done mate you won’t be disappointed in that unit. I’m glad you finally decided to give it a go I think for anyone in your situation it would be a good investment if you can afford it. Cheers mate looking forward to part 21🤣👍
I reckon you might be on the money there mate.
Buck would you pay over $3500 for that unit?
Did you watch the clip? I answer that question.
Fantastic and honest review Buck. Quality ain't cheap. You have some good ideas for changes. Since they made a point of coming back to you wanting your honest input. They obviously want the bad with the good. 3000W Inverter with a big lithium battery is really where these systems need to be. Quite a few electric appliances draw big power. Kudos to Jackery for giving you, Stephen, Ty and other small channels genuine support. I think Jackery realizes they want to break into the Aussie market. By giving smaller channels support, it's a good way to get honest feedback with different ideas the big boys won't. Looking forward to further videos.
If you use a step up voltage converter 12/48 volt for example you can expand the Jackery's capacity with standard 12 volt batteries, agm or lithium through the solar connection.

Look’s a great bit of gear Buck, but as you say the price is up there .
Buck I have the Bluetti AC200Max with the B230 expansion battery and charge it up with 2 x 350watt solar panels. Would never go back. I brought it to work off-road from the caravan.
I can't watch you stirring your coffee for 34 of the 36 minutes.
Great gear but I think the $$$ is too much for the average punter
Nice unit great review , but way out of my price range
I don’t mind when you do a review of a product as I know you give honest reviews
Bloody oath he does!
No anderson plug for power output, only an additional option for input. It does have some home use benefit, but is not a cost effective option and the price is extortion. The total price of $3900 for power station, undersized solar blanket and anderson plug adapter ($169). It is a big fail on any rational criteria, there are better solutions. I do support and enjoy your channel keep up the good work.
Buck , great review on the Jackery . Like all the features and can see some great ideas where I could use one it’s just the price $$ . 👍👍🍻🍻
Yes i know mate. They are not cheap.
Took yours and Gidgees advice at Xmas and brought the kickass handy pack . Great unit but would like something bigger and portable. Jackery might be next on the list .
I have seen quite a few of this type of solar generator, power station around in my travels over the last 2 yrs. Single people traveling in a van, couples traveling between offgrid & powered sites etc. I asked a few why did they buy it ? Most answered no wiring, portable and can go in multiple cars ,vans etc. Price may seem high to some , but as buck found out custom wiring does not come cheap and the convenience , portable all in one design has a lot of merits.
Hi Buck.
It looks like a good bit of kit & I can see how handy it could be. but if I was to be honest the price for the size of the battery seems a bit ritch for my liking.
Just my opinion.
Yes it's lacking Addison plugs & 15 amp plugs for that money sorry but it's a big NO for me.
Thanks for your time for your😢 honest review Buck . I hope they take some criticism - suggestions
on board.
I do love the look of the solar panels but yet again sorry for being harsh get real for the price.
Caravan aircons normally run around less than 2000 watt or less once they reach temp and wind back. 😊
This video makes me so happy Buck !
When these companies reach out to us they want a review not a friendship. We give the viewers good points and bad points on a product, thats what a review is ! If the company doesn’t like what we say about the product, well “stiff shit” as Buck would say 😂
Being offered something with this much value you can’t turn down, especially when you know it’s going to help your day to day life so much.
Well done Buck, enjoy it !
Good to see you are on the mend, that Covid is a big pain in the ass. I have been looking at the smaller units for camping purposes. I am looking forward to seeing your opinion on the jackery. Great vid, keep’em coming.
Mike first impressions, it is very good and I think your version comes with the RV plug.
Looks like a great little unit! If the quality is good, probably worth digging deep
More testing to come mate. This was just the intro. I got to get that gen plug on the house so I can test out what it will run and for how long.
Good to see you're getting rain, none in glenden so far just stupid heat, also how many clips out of this one haha
You know me mate. I'll get some traction out of this!!! lol
very interesting, thank you
Great review Buck looks like a great bit of kit. Imagine how it would have been to have the Jackery or similar in the Army it would save all the Gensets running to power the CP's etc. No more digging in Gensets to be "Tactical". Looking forward to the follow up reviews. Stay dry Buck and stay safe. Cheers 😆
Yeah mate I have dug in a few 10 and 15KVA's in my day.
I don't think the base unit itself is overly expensive mate. You put together the cost of a lithium battery with inverter etc, probably cost more. As far as an option for emergency power at home, I would buy one if I was still living out west Qld.
Tx Bucks, great presentation and episode, hey mate must be time for another Buckaroonie fishing adventure?
Hi Buck, Ros and Rafa
Great Vlog, lots of info! I dont think you'll regret the Jackery Buck. So pleased you are feeling better. My rainwater tanks are low, can you send some rain down to South Australia please lol. ❤️🐕❤️❤️🇦🇺🦘
Great intro Buck, the issue with running a 15A outlet is the inverter couldn't meeting the potential capacity of the lead. I completely agree about the Anderson plugs. What mod did Ty do to get more juice into it? Increase the voltage?
Will I be able to run a 10-15 amp powerboard?
@@Mrbuckaroonie.. yep, that's be fine, the innards will limit the current draw to suit the 10A outlet.
Lovely ep and product, But man way out of my price range at $3500.
It should have a 15amp power point for your camper or caravan can it be done
Yes mate via an Amphibian 10-15amp socket.
Needs a bottle opener 👍
