Played MVS for two days now, and If you actually play the game and use meter and boost jumps and IADs and shi the game gets super fast really quickly. Ult players are just scrubs and don’t know how to play disadvantage which is a big deal in mvs.
I believe people holding one direction until the match is over are disconnects, it's a recurring pattern. The game will lag spike, and whoever disconnected will hold left or right, and then you'll get stuck in the victory screen for about a minute.
It slowed down because in beta, characters moved so fast that advantage was impossible because characters in disadvantage could just zip around the stage to get out of it. They may have slowed it down too much, but the speed was a problem in beta specifically for this reason.
They tied speed to the dodge meter. Now to press advantage or escape it you have to use dodges. Some combos that worked in the beta only work with dodge cancelling.

@ssix_ It's not input lag, it's 30 frames of buffer so if you mash options you get something you didn't want sometimes. They're letting us adjust it in an update.
I feel like I am slowly realizing why they made the game slower. A LOT of characters can kill in in really cheap ways off the top, so if the game was as fast as it was in the beta, I feel like games would never go past a minute. They could still make it like 10% faster I feel, but that’s my personal take.
I enjoyed the feel of the beta a lot more than this. It used to take much longer to kill an opponent which is why it was only 2 stock, but that worked really well. I preferred the faster movement of the beta. They should honestly revert it back.
I do believe the real reason they slowed it down is because in the beta you genuinely had to guess where someone was going to be after they stopped dodging. You could spam dodge so unbelievably fast that the game didn't even feel like a fighting game because there was nothing to whiff punish
@@krispykrab7148 Not gonna happen. The beta was too fast, top players like Void actively got sick of the beta because the speed had him guessing against dodge spam and moves with zero whiff recovery. Too much guesswork and PRAYING that you have to hit someone rather than playing the game properly.
Ok sure but this game just feels like complete garbage. Its slower than brawl and feels like you're playing in molasses. Even ultimate is SO much faster and fluid than this.

the slower speed feels better to me tbh, the game felt so awful to me in beta that i just gave up on trying to play the battle pass and felt back then that I wasted my money getting the premium founder pack, it's still got issues but I'm having more fun with it now
It looks like the characters are fighting in a pool of molasses everything is just so slow now. Imo all they needed to do was make the game less floaty overall or increase the fall speed of characters that it makes sense for like iron giamt batman supes etc.

The main issue I had with the beta was the overall weightlessness of the game and how the game controlled. Those issues are exasperated in the full release, even if the game gets faster when you get better you cant sit here and tell me that the beta isnt faster by default.

@@Rocco_lifts dude the game on steam has mixed reviews, and a pretty small playerbase (around 17,500 rn 💀). That’s a small player base for a relaunch. The game is slow, often feeling like attacking is the wrong move and to let them just attack because every move is punishable. Legit I played it and won because I played more passive than aggressive, that’s not good gameplay when you playing a certain way (being a pussy) is better than fighting in a fighting game.
This game Def has moment where the movements just slows out of nowhere. But this game is fun 😅😂 Also they need to fix team stocks. Have it like brawl, cause 2v2 is to quick sometimes. Sharing stock.

The very beginning of your 1v1s you will be fighting bots. Once you start seeing player badges you have now made it into actuall pvp.💯👏🏾 And you will not find any bots anymore.

Like normally on like 150 i expect my opponent to die with a strong move but ill hit them and they wont go anywhere, then ill hit them again with the SAME EXACT MOVE right after and they get absolutley launched. It just feels so bad. Also movement feels like ur swimming 💀

Yeah but disconnects don’t count towards your wins. So people are cheesing right now by leaving matches if they’re losing off rip.
