They've been playing for over 45 years. I love their music. I saw them in 1989, live thanks to an amazing woman who had some pull to get 5th row seats. The experience was magnificent. These four guys made enough music to fill Great Woods, the venue in Mansfield, Massachusetts and beyond. The power, the emotion, and the artistry was like nothing I'd ever heard or seen
As much of an influence the cure is on a lot of bands and from the time they made their best music, the thing I enjoy the most is Robert smiths humility and longevity as a performer.
What an absolute legendary band this is. They've been impossible to pin down. Everyone thinks of them as shoegazing goths but they've written some of the most perfect pop songs in history. Į first saw them on TV in Oz in about 1980, and I've been a fan ever since.

The Cure's music is so complex and melodic without being a wall of sound. I cannot think of band, except maybe for Queen, whose bass player is so prominent and a part of the melody. This is an excellent and unique band.

It was my first taste of rejection. I was heartbroken. The girl whom I thought I would spend the rest of my life with rejected me out flat. I was a total wreck. Teary jerky .. Then I heard this song. I became a jerk, the laughing stock of the class overnight, but no one knew the true reason why.
