Belive in Oneself from Tales of Xillia,Blood on the Keys from Star Ocean The Last Hope,Face Off from Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness,Xeno Factor from Exist Archive and every Dark Souls boss theme came after Eternal Sonata tho...
Oh, Sakuraba is so back. He's been very up and down in recent years, probably because he's so insanely overworked, but this has SOUL I really hope he enjoyed this project
Say wathever you want about the comparisons between Suikoden 2 and Eiyuden, but the battle theme from the latter completely blows the rather okay but not great one from the former out of the water.
This is the essence of JRPG.
Omg, Sakuraba has been KILLING IT lately with these battle themes!! Nice!!
Agree!!
you can definitely hear some of his other games in this, especially from games like tales and star ocean
He's been getting studio recordings more frequently in the last few years, so his music is finally coming alive as intended.

I love the early Suikoden soundtracks, but the battle themes are among the least memorable tracks for me
