I don't usually comment on stuff but I've been watching your videos for like 2 hours now and I'm more jazzed than ever to get my Mavic. Subscribed. Keep the videos coming man, you've got a great presence on camera.
Please purchase your future DJI gear via my link to support my work for free (I get a small commission)! DJI Phantom 4 Pro: goo.gl/jGFOJO DJI Mavic Pro: goo.gl/pQm679 All other DJI products: goo.gl/EkF2Sa Thanks all together, stay tuned and fly safe!
Buy from a link that you profit from? I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Your very knowledgeable about drones but you and your Hitler moderators are a joke of epic proportions!! Bunch of libtard communists who cannot handle any opinions differing from your own clueless views of reality. I'm buying a p4pro but not from you!!
Hi Tom, Great channel, one of the best out there actually. I'm into outdoors sports, mainly Hiking, Biking and Skiing. I recently bought a Mavic to accompany me during my outings and I guess that due to its small size, it was the perfect choice. I will start using active tracking of course so I can include myself in the action but I wonder how to deal with the controller?! If I put it in my backpack, joysticks will be pressed and the drone will go out of control. Can I switch the controller off during the tracking segment?
Tom, just watched two of your clips! Brilliant! Just got my first drone. Mavic Pro. Will definitely be using some of your pointers. Thanks! What do you use for the titles in your videos? Motion? Cheers!
Tom: excellent tutorials and very helpful for newbies and non newbies alike. I don't mind your adds or asking us to buy from amazon via your links. If you do a good job, a great job, you deserve every penny you get. I am a Photoshop Expert and Photographer and am into the P$ advanced now, to add an extra to my services. Danke, vielen dank.
Hey Tom, I just wanted to say thanks so much for all your videos, You really influenced my purchase of the Mavic & I am enjoying it a lot... I have done several Test flights, just to get ready for whats to come, I am now in the Philippines getting ready to shoot some, hopefully, awesome footage... Question: I am using a PC & have used Camtasia a lot, 4 years ago, but I have never used any good Video editing software. What is something good for working with those 4k videos on a PC? (I tried filming in 1080, but the anti-aliasing was so bad.)
Thanks for the video Tom! I'm getting a phantom 3 standard for Christmas and this video will really help me when making aerial video's. I think that drones will be very popular this Christmas and so I have a video suggestion that you could create a video like "10 great tips for getting started with your Drone" or something like that. Thanks again. :-)
You forgot to add the tip regarding logos in your footage: ie: having one that flickers around and moves also distracts from paying attention to the content of the video and in my personal opinion looks very unprofessional. You already included a Comercial in your video for your site (that you obviously worked very hard on creating) this I don't have a problem with as it is a great site. Otherwise keep up the great work. I really do enjoy your videos. :-)
Hi tom, love your channel. I'm a teacher and I'm looking for drone luts and in this video you mention them as being on your page but what I've found are more generic and I'm looking for P4P, Inspire X5R and Mavic Luts specifically. If I understand it correctly, I just need to shoot with a specific color profile and then the LUTs take over from there. That said, I've just never really been happy with any of the LUT's that I've found. I'm thinking a video from you about LUTs specifically would be great! I really need to understand this better so I can teach it.
Hello Tom, Thanks for the good tips. Really appreciated! I am wondering what video editing software you are using. I am personally a Linux guy and I would love to use some open source solutions like Kdenlive, but at the end I will prefer to have the most suitable software for film making. Can you recommend something in this regards ? Thanks.
Hi Guys, Just got my mavic Pro, what Nd filters do I need please, I will be filming mainly over water in Egypt and Mexico type of areas along with the UK coastline etc. I have been told it is pointless to get the ND 4 and ND8, I film underwater so am new to the aerial filming and haven't got a clue which ones to get. Hope you can help. I intend to film the dive boat and dive site areas with the divers.
Hey, I saw many of youre shots from mainz. I was wondering how you deal with legal issues? As a new Pilot at the moment Im just flying but can I do this without getting in trouble soon?Especially because I only flew on an open field but want to get closer to the city/Rhine? Maybe you can make a video or reply with how you deal with it because ive heard so many diffrent things im not sure what to do! Danke!
Hello! Just one question i bought the mavic pro, i tried to record a video but when i played it it has no sound and when i went live in facebook it had sound how do i fix that? And whats the best setting when taking a video? Thanks!
I do learn a lot from your videos but having seen your website advert numerous times now I just wish I could skip the ad now as it goes on a bit too long. I find myself not choosing to watch your videos due to all the adverts, and I'm sure there must be others doing the same. Shame as I think you are by far the best drone youtuber out there
tom , one question , I bought yesterday my first drone a dji phantom 3 advanced. I live in Berlin and today i went to a public park , there were no people on the field where I started the drone but some people who were far away came towards me and insulted me for using a drone and said its forbidden in berlin eventho I wasnt in the nofly-zone. So is it really that problematic in Berlin / Germany to fly drones ? I am even thinking of giving the drone back since I was really depressed and sad about getting so much attention eventho I just wanted to film a bit. I have heard that around Berlin its allowed to fly as high as you want , do you know anything about that ?
We call this "tilted horizon" or as all DJI Phantom 3, 4, and 4 Pro owners call, "normal shooting mode". Please DJI fix this. BTW, Great video, Tom. You addressed the issues that make me cringe when I see them. I liked when you paired the horrible text with the horrible transitions. I chuckled a little.
Hello, we are a team from japan call “Drone-jo plus” which is a team that created by only woman who loves Drone. This video became a good opportunity to learn about the latest drones! We'd love to go to this place We subscribed your channel as well. Hope we can see more!
You should also consider the placement of your microphone since you sound like you're about to sing in a cathedral. Great tips about drone footage. Work a tad more on anything else.
Yea, the audio in my new room is quite bad. As I am still filming my videos on my own and already now invest a lot of time and money into making them, I can nor perfection everything in one day. I'll try to enhance the sound in the future, but please give me some time. Stay tuned and fly safe!
im getting the problem hes getting at 10:14 ALOT, if you notice the camera messes up with patterns like on the roofs in that shot it just goes very jello-y.... anyone know why this happens/if its fixable? (im using a mavic pro)
I'm just curious, why do you advertise on your own channel? Doesn't that mean you are paying for ads and then getting paid by TH-cam for your ad traffic? It seems like you could just input the ad into your video (and hope people don't skip them) and you wouldn't have to give up a cut to TH-cam. You could even monetize the video with other people's ads and make some extra profit!
As ALWAYS, awesome TomTube video! Please LEVEL YOUR VOLUME, however. ALL of your videos get crazy loud during any music or graphics (like your intro). It nearly explodes my stereo! lol
Great video and ... LMAO at the end I heard that. "Leave your vote on something and help make Tom's Tech Time great again," sounded familiar almost like Donald Trump lol.
Thanks Tom! This video was very informative and helpful! I'm going now to look at Toms Tech Time .com! I'm a newbie and the tips and demonstrations in this video were exactly the kind of information I was looking for! Great job, and once again, thank you!!
Hey Tom. I subscribed because I just got a new phantom 3 and your channel is very informative to help me be a good drone pilot. I have a question about flying in low temperatures. Dji says that their battery heater is a good way to heat up your battery before flight but before really buying it, is their another possible way to warm up the battery? Thanks, and this video definetly helped me get better ariel footage
Tom's Tech Time well actually im not using a drone, im talking about my normal canon 650d. when i use cinestyle (flat close to log) whenever i grade it becomes that yellowy look.
Travis McCartney You probably own a Phantom series from DJI. They've never really gotten that figured out. They spend more valuable time and resources on live streaming and their crappy in app editor.
5:04 If you don't know how to create lines in Premier: Maybe you should't fly a drone. Or use premier. Or be allowed to vote. Or be allowed to spread your genes. Because creating lines is the easiest thing you can you do in life.
Thanks for your video, but I find that there are maybe too many ads. I know this is how the bills get paid, but subtle is better with this sometimes. I agree about your logo. It's jumping and flashing and distracts from your video. I also think that many of your "hints" are more like opinion in regard to YOUR shooting style, but thanks for sharing your style! Last - I don't like the colour grade on your main shot - you look a bit green and you seem to be wearing lipstick
Hi Tom Tks for all these interesting videos and professional comments - all usefull for me Could you just have mercy and take these sunglasses out of the the edge of your skull ;-))
hey Tom! love your videos and it has taught me a lot. however, those ads are getting annoying. As a subscriber it can get annoying to see it all the time(every 45 seconds). I know you've gotta make money but damnn...
Dude! Really... that's too much!!! Too much of ads! I do love your work and your tutorials... as well as all your fans do. They are extremely helpful and ones of the most detailed in the web! But don't turn your videos in TV show with ads promos to your channel every 30 seconds. You are creating amazing tutorials capable of making users subscribe after the first view. Please don't distract ones, who already subscribed:)
Haha, I'm sorry and I get that the ads for sure are wiry at some point. The problem is that I invest a lot of both time and money into making my videos. I need to balance my income, otherwise I could stop filming new videos tomorrow. I hope you understand my point of view as well. Stay tuned and fly safe.
I do understand :) for sure. It's just that all your fans are already supportive, and help by buying gear using the links :) I do want you to continue your works. And frankly, your videos are the most informative and helpful. I was so happy when I ran on your channel. It's just that it feels a little too much of ads now :) Thank you for your hard work. Fly safe!
Dude, I really enjoy your video. It's so, so helpful. I don't mind about the ads as I know you spend lots of money, time and effort in making it. As a sign of appreciation I'm not going to comment on the ads. I will politely skip it if I find it a bit intrusive or boring. :) Keep on making the videos bro. I'm so happy to know your channel.
Dude subscribe to TH-cam red NO commercials and people who EXPECT value for free have NO value in their opinion. Get a life and a better job and thank you Tom for all your hard work you do and although I’m making this comment a year later, I’m not sure what has or hasn’t changed if anything but by God add MORE ads, you deserve to be paid and paid WELL for your very helpful and professional videos and the people who complain like losers about how you need to do more work for less pay actually are far fewer than the people who understand the value of your work and effort and need to be paid for them and are actually the ones who will either weather the ads or upgrade to Red vs trying to get their food stamp cards increased..... lol I somewhat apologize it just really irritates me when people say such stupid things as this nitwit freeloader. Again thank you Tom, us subscribers who actually own professional drones and get paid to use them very much value and appreciate your hard work and efforts and again do carry the opinion I do here albeit I speak out more lol but again freeloaders not only don’t contribute they suck life out of both macro and micro economies while EXPECTING more juice for their suckers hahaha. Keep up the awesome work you’ve helped me and several of my associates make a ton of money we otherwise wouldn’t have had you not or if you didn’t offer us tutorials at the level of professionalism you do. And THAT is what matters most vs freeloaders who do nothing or worse siphon off those of us who make it possible for them to get free food lol
This is superbe feed, Tom! It open my eyes and creativity! Thanks a lot! I invite you to watch my recent upload in the Drone world Thanks again! Best RDGS Best Wishes
This video is very helpful but it should be titled "how to make your video look better" no "why it looks bad". Also I don't appreciate the double dipping nature of the video where I have to go watch another video to get the tip. Go over it briefly in this video but mention that you go more in depth in another 😕
Yea, well, the title... I like the friendly title better as well. The problem is that those videos get almost no attention at all. You know, talking about the other videos that I recommend, I can not summarize them in a few sentences, if I really want everyone to understand the content. I'm always trying to be precise and sometimes a topic is just too big and I don't want my video to be loner then 15 minutes maximum. Stay tuned and fly safe!
I feel you with the title, fair enough, but I don't agree with not elaborating on certain subjects. I'm not hating on your video, you produce great content, I would have just preferred a little less double dipping 😊
Hi man! I love your videos! just subscribed. If you don't mind go check my drones videos and tell me what do you think about them and how I could improve...
I don't usually comment on stuff but I've been watching your videos for like 2 hours now and I'm more jazzed than ever to get my Mavic. Subscribed. Keep the videos coming man, you've got a great presence on camera.

Tom's Tech Time
Thank you for these tips. I'm a DJI noob but I'm learning fast due to videos like yours.
Just picked up a DJI Phantom 3 on Black Friday and I've been binge watching all of your videos! Awesome channel Tom keep up the great work :D
Great tips Tom!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to share these with us...
Great pointers. They seem very "common sense" practices but I've never given many of those any thought before. Will implement those in my next video.
Thanks for the feedback, Bob. Stay tuned and fly safe!
Hi Tom,
Great channel, one of the best out there actually.
Can I switch the controller off during the tracking segment?
thanks for sharing this info!
Tom, you are the bomb diggity!!! Thanks for your amazing and insightful tutorials.
Excellent tips! Looking forward to more.
This is the best video seen until now on your canal, thanks soooooooo much
Thanks a lot for the feedback. Stay tuned and fly safe.
Thanks so much tom , your advise is so great for new pilots like myself , keep it up man , greetings from Cape Town, South Africa !
Thanks for the feedback! Stay tuned and fly safe!
Some great tips
Thanks for the video Tom! I'm getting a phantom 3 standard for Christmas and this video will really help me when making aerial video's. I think that drones will be very popular this Christmas and so I have a video suggestion that you could create a video like "10 great tips for getting started with your Drone" or something like that. Thanks again. :-)
Great video, thank you for the tips. What film editing software do you prefer?
HeliMoto From the looks of it, it looks like Adobe Premiere Pro and I also see an After Effects icon.
Great tips! What video editing software do you use?
Thank you! 👍😃
hi tom , I just pre ordered the inspire 2.and was wondering if you will be doing any video's with that model
Excellent tutorial vídeo Tom's, thanks!!!
Tom thanks for this great video. What editing software do you use?
That's Premiere Pro
Great tips, thank you
You must have broken some hearts for those thumbs down because your content is flawless lol 👍🏽
ive learned a lot from your vids, very thorough explaination.
Tom, are you LUTs compatible with Corel Videostudio x10?
Say it with me....SUNLIGHT!! LOL. You do a good job Tom. Keep it up.
Love your channel Tom. Do those lots at the site work with free version of Divinci Resolve?
Great video I appreciate the helpful advice.
ThNks for sharing this knowledgeable tips !!
Thanks Tom, very useful as usual.
Thanks for the great hints
Hi Tom just curious if you will be doing any reviews on the inspire 2
Hello Tom, Thanks for the good tips. Really appreciated! I am wondering what video editing software you are using. I am personally a Linux guy and I would love to use some open source solutions like Kdenlive, but at the end I will prefer to have the most suitable software for film making. Can you recommend something in this regards ? Thanks.
As always, great tips Thanks
Very useful, thank you Tom!
Awesome channel )
Great explanation!
Thanks a lot :)
I noticed you fly in Canada. You should do a video on how you get commercial insurance and SFOC for flying in Canada.
Thanks for the great info!!!
"looks like it's from the 70's" haha yes it does now you say it, great vid!
Awesome video! Very informative :)
oh year that are amazing tips for me...Thanks xD
can you give us a review of Mi Drone and is it good for photography?
Hi,
Your link is wrong for "Drone without disturbing Propeller appearance:", could you correct It please ? thx.
Nice job Tom..
Thanks for the compliment...
your advices will make everyone's videos look the same and they will stop being unique and personal.
Another hint. You don't have to fly/shoot backwards. Simply shoot moving forward, then select reverse in post.
Great video series! Can you tell me what music you use in these videos?
Pedro7526 I was wondering the same thing
Tom, great videos but PLEASE fix your white balance in your studio shots, you look like an alien.. :) take care
Haha, true... I didn't really see it when working on it last night. Next time I'll try to look more human... ;)
lol - maybe its an UFO, not a drone
For a little while I thought you were wearing makeup🤪
AWESOME video...
Hi, can you tell me which post editing software you use?
How long did it take you to get SFOC permits for some of these shots?
Hey, I saw many of youre shots from mainz. I was wondering how you deal with legal issues? As a new Pilot at the moment Im just flying but can I do this without getting in trouble soon?Especially because I only flew on an open field but want to get closer to the city/Rhine?
Maybe you can make a video or reply with how you deal with it because ive heard so many diffrent things im not sure what to do!
Danke!
Hey, I have all permits necessary for flying in RLP. For further information, feel free to join my group: facebook.com/groups/tomstechtime
Thanks for this video Tom! Great tips =)
Thank you for the feedback, Ryan. Stay tuned and fly safe!
Hi Tom - great vid - do DJI's p4 nd filters work with new p4 pro?
Due to the difference in camera size the Phantom 4 Filters are not compatible with the P4 Pro.
Hello! Just one question i bought the mavic pro, i tried to record a video but when i played it it has no sound and when i went live in facebook it had sound how do i fix that? And whats the best setting when taking a video? Thanks!

thanks toms

Hahaha. Me too. But only sometimes. I think the show has calmed down a little since he is not part of it anymore... :p
What editing software is it
Adobe Premiere Pro. Stay tuned and fly safe.
I think I may have just spotted a vampire!
1:48 nah bro thats kings landing
The ardrone can take vidio with now props in the image
10:20 Why do all my clips look like this when graded? I cant seem to get the natural look. the yellows/reds are way too punchy!
Maybe take a look at this video of mine and adjust your camera settings: th-cam.com/video/my2cFiPKvao/w-d-xo.html. Stay tuned and fly safe.
Tom's Tech Time well actually im not using a drone, im talking about my normal canon 650d. when i use cinestyle (flat close to log) whenever i grade it becomes that yellowy look.
Why is my horizon tilted when I shoot some footage?...does that mean my camera or gimbal is not calibrated correctly?
Travis McCartney yeah
Travis McCartney You probably own a Phantom series from DJI. They've never really gotten that figured out. They spend more valuable time and resources on live streaming and their crappy in app editor.
A phantom 4
Hi Tom
Tks for all these interesting videos and professional comments - all usefull for me
Could you just have mercy and take these sunglasses out of the the edge of your skull ;-))
hey Tom! love your videos and it has taught me a lot. however, those ads are getting annoying. As a subscriber it can get annoying to see it all the time(every 45 seconds). I know you've gotta make money but damnn...
What happened to the dancing robot? I hope he is ok.
He was sent into retirement and is enjoying life. Stay tuned and fly safe.
Adverts in the middle of a video? You've lost me. See ya.
Dude! Really... that's too much!!!
I'm so happy to know your channel.
use adblock .... easy
Do you use lipstick?
No, Sir. Why are you asking? Maybe that's the LUT. Who knows... ;)
lol
Tom's Tech Time definitely the LUT
I was thinking eye shadow? If not, maybe kidney disease?
This is superbe feed, Tom! It open my eyes and creativity! Thanks a lot!
I invite you to watch my recent upload in the Drone world
Thanks again!
Best RDGS
Best Wishes
I'm not hating on your video, you produce great content, I would have just preferred a little less double dipping 😊
love your information!!! A++++
, but looks like lipstick on you, also sound a tad irritating.
keep up your hard work you'll get there!
Hi man! I love your videos! just subscribed. If you don't mind go check my drones videos and tell me what do you think about them and how I could improve...
