They are a nice looking sedan but I really think the Ioniq5 is a nicer, roomier vehicle. A fellow let me sit in his 2023 Polestar and the car felt tight for space. In the I5 the front seat area is amazing for room and the back seats are incredible.
In any case a nice effort but I will stick with our Ioniq5!

When I drove the Polestar 2 in Florida, there was no adaptive cruise control or lane keep assist. It was almost like the features were stripped from the rental. I had a 90 mile drive to and from the airport and it was shitty without any good features. About the cruise control, its opposite from the i5. Hold the + to increase the speed and you get 1 mph increments. press it once and it goes up 5 mph at a time. I wasnt a fan of this car overall. Renting may be ok for short trips and around town but not for any amount of long driving. Even with people in the back seat. Maybe a small child hahaha. Great video!

talking bout the auto hold, this car does it right just like mercedes - a strong press of the brake pedal when you are stationary. Thank god its not a button like in almost every car

We drove one of these in Florida as a rental, and decided we would not get one just because of the turn signal sound. Really didn’t like it! Our son is 6’2 and was really squished in the backseat, he MUCH prefers the Ioniq 5

Unfortunately the biggest problem with polestar is lack of repair centers.
    And volvo can't touch them.
Aging wheels guy had to have his sent to the nearest repair center......in Columbus Ohio.
    He's obviously from St Louis.

Should there be any question that an EV has electric steering?

I really like the look of the Polestar 2 but they should have made the car 3 inches longer so the rear seats aren't so tight. Also, no sun shade? Really? And at least up here in Canada, the price is about 10k more than a Model 3? That equals very low sales.

The turn signal sound reminds me of a metronome

Thanks for the insights. Doesn't sound like a better choice than the Ioniq 5.
Unrelated- Ran into another Ioniq 5 owner at EA charging station. He too experienced much slower charging speeds than other EVs that aren't 800 volts. His thought.... EA is throttling EV's that get the free charging package. Does anyone have any information?

@@pppcorn "If it bleeds it leads" - The recalls get all the attention. I've had my 2023 Ioniq 5 AWD Ltd for over a year. 12,000 miles and the only issue was a squeaking trunk lid which has been fixed.

@@axion8788 in canada they have recalled them twice for replacement batteries and some have exploded. it was the most expensive recalls in history. my neighbors h 2019 is a paperweight and hyundai or his insurance wont cover it without 25k of his own money

Front seat, alright. Backseat, I wouldn’t wanna be back there at that height

Unfortunately Hyundai tuning on the ioniq 5 is poor. The Australian spec is alot better even the kia EV6 Australian spec is so so much more composed over bumps. We tune our own specs here
