I show you how to fix a Porsche convertible top by replacing the ball joints on the control arms I hope this helped you. Go follow my instagram - Just.anothercarguy
Nathan, I just finished the job on my Boxster. You gave me the courage to do it. The only hitch was that I didn't realize at first that I needed to open the top completely from the service position to find the ball joints. Pelican Parts sent metal replacements, which snapped into place easily enough. Thanks again for the video.
Excellent video !! I don't know how some people can leave bad comment about his advise. Service mode, mark the rod location, pull back roof liner, even advise NOT to use metal ball joints....if you guys don't understand these simple instructions than it's on YOU. That kid did a great job/video.
@@mikemcmo Because if the plastic ball joint breaks due to tension in the system no big deal to replace. The metal ball joints will be stronger but could cause motors to break
Been a couple days since I tried fixing my roof. Went back to try again and now it stuck between closing and opening. Unbelievable can’t believe I toke this mans advise
Can you link me to these ?
Hey nathan , thanks for the video, i did the same thing, but keeps popping out from the other side; what do you recommend?
thx but mine is stuck in open. there is not much space to fix.
What do you do if someone has removed them and not marked where they were
What do you expect when you run a business like that? What kind of customers are you expecting? That’s a you problem.

Why would you not use metal ball joints? He had plastic ones that broke. My 986 came with metal ball joints.

Hey thanks for the video! Where did you get the hardtop for the 987 Boxster?
Where can I buy plastic parts that have been repaired quickly
Anyone know what the part that the ball is attached to is called ? That somehow popped
Exactly as shown. BTW nice friends on the troll. Lol
Hahaha thank you much appreciated I’m glad I could help!
Directions unclear. My car fell apart. Don’t listen to this scam artist.
Owen chill
were did you get , buy the ball joints parts
for the control arms
eBay, I believe they where $10, don’t get metal ones Because it could do more damage to the motor that brings it up and down
Terrible advise do not listen to him! Had the same issue with my Boxter and it made it even worse.
Tyler shut up
