The Theog Police of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh has taken a big action against drug abuse. Police has arrested the kingpin of opium smuggling. The kingpin caught by the police is a native of Nepal. The accused was carrying out smuggling while staying in Narkanda, Shimla. He has been identified as Ravi Giri (41). SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi said that financial transactions worth Rs. 3.40 crores have taken place from the accused's bank accounts in the last two years. Police has started the process of freezing all the illegal movable and immovable properties and bank accounts of the accused.
