  • What's going on everybody! Apologies for the long break of publishing videos. Life has been keeping me busy, but I finally found some time to give you a deeper interpretation of the Center To Edge (CTE) Aiming System. This interpretation has some changes from the first interpretation that I posted back in August.
I'd like to thank everyone for all the support that I got for the first interpretation of the CTE aiming system.
Dr. Dave Billiards ( / drdavebilliards ) shared my video on his web page where variations of the CTE aiming system are covered (billiards.colostate.edu/faq/a....
I even found that my video was shared on the AZBilliards Forum (forums.azbilliards.com/showth....
I can only hope that I've brought some more value to the system that allows everyone to understand the CTE aiming system better.
Enjoy and don't forget to subscribe!!!
I'M ALSO CELEBRATING HAVING OVER 25K+ SUBSCRIBERS!!! I NEVER WOULD HAVE IMAGINED THAT MY VIDEOS WOULD HAVE BEEN SO SUCCESSFUL IN HELPING ALL OF YOU BECOME BETTER POOL PLAYERS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT!!! TO SHOW MY APPRECIATION, I'M RAFFLING OFF A 2X4 PREDATOR URBAIN POOL CASE TO ONE OF MY LUCKY SUBSCRIBERS! TO ENTER INTO THE RAFFLE DO THE FOLLOWING:

@@Meltdown900cc I don't think you can see the "About" section on a mobile device, you have to use a computer. I wonder if they'll ever fix that in the TH-cam app.

Why I watch Chris's lessons is that he is strikingly honest His lessons opens my mind to what he demonstrates with simplicity and yet technical enough to tease my curiosity on the subject. This CTE aiming was well thought out and presented in a professional manner. Great job Chris, keep on teaching.

Again, great video and so far the best description of CTE. With those 5 degree adjustments, you have actually made CTE usable. However, still several points to be aware:
    1. The objective of CTE is to provide an easier to follow aiming system than estimating the ghost ball. However, with the current system Chris introduced, a player needs to estimate the cutting angle, the ABC point on the object ball, and also the half-tip pivot on the cue ball. In my opinion, with all these estimations, it has questionably lost its meaning of a "better" aiming system than just ghost ball aiming.
    2. Even a player can follow every step and make all the above estimations correctly, whether or not the player can shoot exactly along where he/she aims would be another question. In my opinion, any aiming system should only be practiced AFTER one can consistently shoot straight stop shots, or at least get a practice cue ball which can give some clear feedback.
    3. I am still not an advocate of CTE because all actions rely on pivoting (or sweeping) but still, again, NOT A WORD about bridge lengths was mentioned throughout the video. Just think about it: a player bridging 2 inches from the cue ball would definitely have different pivoting results than a player bridging 8 inches away.
Anyways, I really like your videos and I appreciate your great effort. I am just raising these points up and hope they become a good amendment.

Use a 15 and a 30 it make EVERY SINGLE bank you can come up with as creative as you want to get just pick CTE and Edge to A and try both pivots if you see Edge to A with a left would be how you would cut a shot into the corner than Refence the other side of the OB use EDGE TO A but try a diffent pivot direction and you will see how the balls start tracking to a pocket 1 2 3 4 and 5 rail banks all those banks are the same algnment you use to make a slight angle cut The 15 and the same way you make a straight in shot THE FIFETEEN NOW USE SAME WAY YOU MADE THE STRAIGHT IN and start playing with the banks you gonna blow your mind when you start making 3 and 4 rail banks 3 out of 5 trys is non uncomon once you can use this system for normal shots you will find all these crazy looking banks are like your firing a straight in Shot

I was just starting to wonder if you had stopped making videos. Now I have mixed reviews about this one. The first 8 minutes, I think didn't help me much at all. Personally. I hope it does help other people, and I appreciate you taking the time to try and enunciate how exactly this system works. And I am really interested in this system, but I cant seem to grasp the subtleties. I thought I did, so I took it to the table after your last video, but couldn't get it to work. A little more stuck with me this time from 10 minutes on, but will have to take it to the table again and see. I feel very comfortable with my shot making ability, but, this could surely add to my Hail Mary shots, akin to memorizing a kicking system to get you out of a jam. Again, thank you for taking time and trying to explain to the rest of us. And looking forward to your next topic. :)

Fantastic video. Thank you for the visual. Aside from the inside vs outside pivot difference from Stan Shuffet this is a great video. Love the channel. Thin is in.

Thanks again Chris I've been trying to figure this system out for over a year, your camera angle along with a good explanation sure helps but I'm still sure l will have to watch it several times, as it is a lot to take in. I need a sure method for aiming on those really nervous games. Again thanks for videos to up my game.

Awesome video Chris you are getting better at CTE I have been shooting that system for awhile now and trying to aim with the feet movement and not the half tip pivot, there are some videos out there but it is still hard all i can say is the eyes lead and the body follows Thanks again and don't give up on CTE its a great system and gets easier as you learn

Amazing! this CTE actually gives me a reference to aim at with cut shots! I've always just Eyeballed it n of course missed quite a bit...gotta try this!
