Thank you so much!! I had been exploring custom frames in Canva to try to fill in a silhouette of a photo I had. Exporting to Photopea is the perfect solution to my problem.😄😄😄
Great video! I'm stuck at the very end of it, though. Removing the background. I have the "pro" version and the one click usually works, but for some reason it isn't removing it.
Hi, quite often, a background can't be detected due to the image you want to keep being overcrowded with too much going on in the background. Another reason could be that, let's say, the image you want is on a white or bright background, and the whole picture is not filling the entire canvas. So imagine an 8x6 photo with the part you need and its background. Then imagine that image is on a blank canvas of 16x12. Canva will try to save the whole 8x6 image, not just the part inside that image you want. So make sure the entire image fills the canvas before using background remover. That doesn't happen in all cases, but it can, so give that a try. Failing that, when you click on background remover, there are two options in the background removal window under select a brush. You could choose the Erase option and adjust your brush size and zoom into your image and try to remove the background manually. If all that fails, I'd suggest using a free online background removal tool, for which there are many. Steve.
WOW! Ezy Pzy. I had this brain *art this morning wondering if I could make a Canva Frame with Photopea. One Google search and wahlah, I found your channel. Thank you, Stephen. I'm very proficient on both platforms and happy to learn about the photo tool. I'm looking forward to searching your channel.
Hello, I have a question. Will you be able to show us how to create a smart object mockup or drag and drop Canva frame on a blank white flat ceramic Christmas ornament? The trouble I am having is, being able to keep the string it hangs from gold or whatever color, and the hole it runs through open. I want to be able to create a realistic smart mockup of an ornament hanging from a Christmas tree stem. All with free tools? I would surely appreciate it.😊
Stephen - could you use that process to make pictures with words in them? I was looking for an image of a country with the relevant words of that country inside the outline of that country.. like rivers, cities, culture, crafts etc (for use in education ). I've seen this online but think it was from software.
Yes, you can; the only thing you'll need to do is make sure each letter in the word or sentence touches another. When you put the magic wand on an image, it circles that image and only that image, so if you have lots of different pictures or individual letters, the magic wand will only circle the one you touch, so if they are all touching each other like one image, the magic wand will circle them all. Steve
Hi I’m trying to create a photo collage using this method, but every time I add a second photo to the elements frame my cut out image that created in photopea disappears, any suggestions please?

Interesting, Carla, I'll look into it. I can't promise as I'm snowed under this week, but I'll have a look for you. Steve.

I followed all steps but now the frame i made is not working in canva. What do i do now?
How strange, I'll go over the steps myself this coming week to see if Canva has made any changes, then I'll get back to you 🤙

Hi, unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Photopea. I hope you find a solution to this, and when you do, please let me know, Aunty Lou.
