I am definitely a crazy person for paying $400 on a sealed French copy. But yea, these are definitely rare and desirable to everyone. Copies that aren't the English packaging are prolly even more rare because Atlus didn't bother to make the actual game in other EU languages so I'm sure not a lot of copies sold outside the UK or other English-speaking territories. But yea that guy trying to sell his copy for 20 grand is probably a bit delusional. No matter how rare a sealed copy of the CE gets. No one is paying $20k for it. But maybe I'll be proven wrong someday.
I dunno why but i always had the urge to buy USA import and PAL local version. Local stores here often sell USA imports. I got all since release P1 USA collector P2 USA collector P2 PAL collector P3P USA P3P PAL collector Same goes for all SMT/Persona games on PS2 and Vita.
It's nice to see the Collector's Edition. I just got a sealed copy while on my trip to France. I don't quite have the heart to open it. I'm pretty sure that Artbook is almost the exact same as the P3 Artbook in the original LE. So that's good to know since I already have that.
I loved the vid and though of a question for you that I assume you might know the answer to. Was the PSP collectors edition of persona 1 the only version that was available physically in NA? Curious about this.
Sadly no. I made a point to get a lot of these games before Persona 5's release. The explosion of fandom in recent years has made all of these older games a lot more expensive. You can get them digitally on the PS3 and Playstation Vita store though for about $20 each.

That copy you have of Persona 3 Portable on its' own looks like it's actually from Canada, not America. Canada speaks both French and English.
And now crazy people who tries to resell this are making the price above 200$, one on E-bay was listed 19k for P3P collector's edition.

I got them off of eBay a few years back. Most of my collection came from eBay
