Crooked believes that we need a better conversation about politics, culture, and the world around us-one that doesn’t just focus on what’s broken, but what we can do to fix it. At a time when it’s increasingly easy to feel cynical or hopeless, former Obama staffers Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor have created a place where people can have sane conversations that inform, entertain, and inspire action. In 2017 they started Crooked with Pod Save America-a no-bullshit conversation about politics. Since then, we continue to add shows, voices, and opportunities for activism, because it’s up to all of us to do our part to build a better world. That’s it. End of mission.

‘HMHAS’ is a 10/10. Bravo Billie!!
Love the new Billie. It is sonically cinematic. 🎶
“Herbie was not fully loaded!” Get it, Ira! 😂😂
You heard it here first from Louis: "Sometimes, spirits should be domitable."
Perfect.
Cowboy Carter is still AOTY. Billie gave an excellent project.
I see the Tshirt! 🙌🍉
I loved the analysis of the Amy Winehouse movie and the play Ira saw! So smart, as always.
love the t shirt Ira 🍉
Apple Music has an interview with Billie and Finneas on here (YT) about how they approached the album and it’s great!
Here’s to ALL of the AMAZING FEMALE ARTISTS! Awards or No… Keep CREATING! Thanks Ira & Louis!
I love the fashion of both hosts in this episode!
She is currently challenging for a #1 on Billboard 200 and she discounted her album to $4.99 so people can buy. Please support her by purchasing the album! ❤💙
"Saloon doors swing open..." 😂
Cowboy Carter followed by All Born Screaming are my favorites with 5. Hit Me Hard And Soft is my third favorite so far with a 4.5.
From the sound of it, they Disney-fied Amy. The biopics of recent years seem more concerned with creating a glossy image instead of connecting to the humanity of the subject. The autotune was out of control as well. I made peace with Amy’s vocals not being used but they shouldn’t have used auto tune on Marisa’s vocals.
Shout out graham Greene double indemnity screenwriter - if you want some brilliant summer reads, he was a bomb novelist as well!
To me, Amy embodied mischief, and that quality was missing from her portrayal
I was hoping for a take on Dua Lipa's duo with Chris Stapleton. I loved it!
The Ray Charles movie was great because of Jamie’s performance and also the movie didn’t try to make him look like a great person. He cheated, was a drug addict and shitty to friends. Need more truth telling in these biopics.
You guys wanting AOTY for Cowboy Carter sounds like you're asking for a participation prize. Not a prize for excellence, but to look at the artist who made it. The others deserve it, but they already got one. I think you're selling Beyonce short.
That's your opinion. Everyone who won over her all these years were sold short. So what....
i personally don't care for a single Beyonce song and i love every single song Billie's made. i liked destiny's child as a kid and haven't liked a song she's made since. art is subjective and everyone has different tastes. there's no way to objectively quantify art. grammys are not based solely on talent and skill and we all have known that.
@@marigolden_mariposa That’s fine. I have no problem arguing on merits. My problem is asking for a consolation prize when Beyoncé deserves better. At this stage, she’s greater than any single award.
Not at all representative of our thoughts on the album, maybe those are yours! Good for you!
@@marigolden_mariposaShe got "too Black" for you huh? Just kidding, but you're absolutely right about it being political. They almost always go for the more commercial album.
"Goody Eilish" 🤣🤣🤣
I think a strong contender for AOTY should be Diamond Jubilee by Cindy Lee but I worry the academy won’t give it the recognition it deserves
Cowboy what? LMAO xDD
Billie's album is art, that Cowboy Carter album is just another brick in the wall.
Probably the 1M dead was the darkest part of covid, but go off with those damn Zoom Kimmel interviews. We were never gonna get an Amy Winehouse biopic of any substance with Mitch Winehouse involved anyways. Not surprised the film's garbage and flopped.
This headline is so extra lmao
I disagree. Of course it is not her best album.
I loved her first albums in 2017 and 2019, they were awesome, but now we have reached an average level. Sorry, but truth is truth.
your personal subjective opinion on art is not a fact. that's not how art critique works.
Back to Black was a disgrace to Amy's legacy and that director should win worst director award.
😂😂 billie is a good artist but ain't nobody got time for this whispering mess
She will leave all the other pop stars in the dust. She’s already more talented.
Don’t worry, Billie’s album flopped
not even close
