😂
I may be in the minority, but crafting was always my favorite thing about MMOs. I was a day 1 Star Wars Galaxies player and while everyone I knew was off adventuring and battling, I was camped inside a medical center just crafting stims and healing people who came through (in the early days, when you died, your health and stamina were debuffed and only a skilled doctor could bring you back to 100%). Another underrated game that had amazing crafting was from the same studio, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. I was one of the few Artificers on my server, and if you wanted to build houses, you needed each individual brick crafted. It was a very long and difficult process that required adventurers to go out and gather materials (while not dying) and bringing them back to the crafting tents where the crafters were grinding their skills to level up and make better things. I was one of the first to be able to construct Cornerstones (which required a lot of materials and high level to make) which were needed to make a Guildhall. Oh, and that game was completely open PvP, so while some warriors went out and gathered supplies, we had others who stood guard at our crafting tent to make sure we didn't get slaughtered while we were making materials.
This 1000% percent!!! I love crafting in mmos! I've never heard of vanguard before so I'm definitely to have to look it up. Sounded awesome!!
The most complex crafting system I came across in modern gaming is Final Fantasy 14 online. It has multiple classes, gearing system with enhancement slots, and skill combo system to craft an item. They consists of multiple skills that raises quality and progress of a crafting item that requires some knowledge and planning. I wonder what this game will bring.
This looks a little bit too good to be true...
Yeah stay on your toes this could be another anthem…
I mean if you look at the devs that should say it all 😂 bunch of money grabbers
"The Dune MMO" that's going to be 40 players per server akin to conan exiles. I'd love something more but we all know we aren't getting an mmo. Can FUNCOM really deliver what only star citizen and mortal online 2 are doing currently, with different servers hosting each cell of the map with seemless transition ? I'm doubtful to say the least.
40 players per sever =/= not an mmo.
a server is refering to a small portion of the world, theyre using server meshing tech to split up the load so that 1 server doesnt have all thousands of players on it.
its what theyre doing
its an mmo
the base building areas / PVE zones are 40, the pvp zone Deep desert is 500 atm. - use of servermeshing = mmo but server based just like any other mmo.
Have they confirmed STEAM Workshop mods support?
most likely only UI stuff if at all id assume. Its a mmo, with only official servers, everyone in a server would have do have the mods downloaded if they actually changed something.
I doubt they’ll be anything major in terms of mods. We won’t be getting private servers.
Its Funcom...lower your expectations
you mean FAILcom?
Dumcom.
you mean the makers of conan exiles? i think itll be what im expecting
more like a survival game .. with almost no MMO. this game will be a reskin of Conan Exiles
Source: because i think so.
(ps: youre wrong, do some research)
looks gay

clip bait title.. makes title as fact then 10secs says how he thinks things could be with out any info from the dev. Hate subbing to people like this which is why wont be subbing.
