  • T'ien Ch'i, at a viewer's request. A simple-ish guide for a VERY complicated nation.
Easily one of the most powerful and versatile nations in Dominions 6... this nation gave me hell to figure out, but the sheer capability of a talented player with this nation staggers the mind. Check it out, and see if it helps. Feel free to use the chapters, and treat this as a reference for yourself, to save you a ton of time and effort in the process of learning this great nation.
    Timecodes:
    0:00 - Intro, nation overview
    09:36 - Pretender creation
12:10 - Expansion tips and tricks (year 1 playthrough)
33:29 - Research Goals and explanations
40:43 - VERY brief example of a communion setup
    43:16 - Notable national summons
45:08 - BRIEF lategame discussion and tricks (too complex for THIS video to go into detail)
    46:22 - Summary/reminder of tips
    46:37 - Outro

Thanks for the comments guys! A tough nation, and hopefully I broke it down well enough for you! Let me know what you'd like to see next!

Yeah, personally, I would like to watch a video on communions, especially on glamour one, since I haven't used these spells very much.
As always, great video :) My only suggestion would be to include a bit more information about heroes and national artifacts

      Agree to that

Awesome comment, and great point! It was a monumental effort to keep the video under 50 minutes even, but what I might do is an "advanced nation guide" for T'ien Chi' if you guys want that, where I discuss all of the extra stuff, OR I could throw in national heroes and items, and just make this thing around 55 minutes. Which would you prefer? I think I might be able to squeeze a quick little five minute chat about the heroes (even the annoying diseased one!) and the items in this video, just before the outro. Great idea, and thank you for the reminder!

I managed to make a quick 3 minute clip about it, but unfortunately once its uploaded onto TH-cam, I can't easily add the clip in without taking down the original viceo :/ Fortunately the national items and heroes in THIS case are fairly simple (since they don't break us into any new paths other than the diseased one bringing us death 2 items), but I'll keep it in mind in the future! I'll keep brainstorming a way to get the three minute chat about it thrown in somewhere, somehow, but I'm currently unable to think of a quick way...

@@AOReaper God, you're quickly becoming my favorite TH-camr! I personally think that making a new video on T'ien Ch'i so soon might not be the best move, as the algorithm may not favor it, and there are many other new topics and ideas you could explore that might attract more viewers.
Also, I really appreciate how you engage with your audience. It's incredibly wholesome that you take the time to listen and respond to all comments, showing that you truly value our input. :) Not only that, but you're actually acting on what we suggest. Huge respect for this! I hope you'll continue to do that as your channel grows.
One more suggestion - consider posting your own comment right after the video goes live. I'm not sure if the algorithm counts it as activity, but it makes it easier for channel visitors to start writing new comments, and those who hadn't thought about it might respond to your comment, thus boosting activity as well.
      Keep up the great work!

As for heroes and artifacts, it's not that big of a loss :) I mostly play Niefelheim anyway (yes, I'm a casual lol)
I just mentioned it because it’s a part missing for a complete guide. To make sure your efforts aren’t wasted, you could consider posting this in shorts with a link to the full video, especially if editing for vertical videos isn’t too time-consuming and you can squeeze it in a minute (I'm not familiar with the nuances of that format).
The same could be done for the nations already reviewed.

2 Turmoil, no province defense and not a single bad event, would never happen to me. Nice guide

I feel your pain brother. In my group of friends, I'm known as the "better take luck" guy, because of my awful luck. That being said, in games it usually doesn't feel too bad until you have too many provinces, as in Dom 6 now they give you 1 PD for free, but also in your first year, you have less provinces for those bad events in general. By year two I'm sure I would've lost half of my provinces to bandits ;)
      Appreciate the feedback!

What do you think about stacking 3 masters of the sword with different paths on the same square and having them all buff each other and themselves with point buffs? Then tell em to go in swinging. Maybe toss some weapons on em, i dunno.

That's a great idea, and CAN work. It takes quite a bit of investment, however, as 510 gold goes, you might be better off with one Master of the Sword with a decent path (like earth, etc), and a small army that he buffs with himself. Cost wise, and then you'd be waiting 2 turns, per Master of recruitment, and then you'd also have to hope the "random" nature hits 3 different paths.
If you had those 3 guys sitting around ANYWAYS, I think this is solid, at least in a pinch. I just think it might be a slightly heavy investment. I've found masters of the sword to be better when you use them like scalpels: pick a small PD you can conquer with them solo, and raid with them, or support them with armies, but that's just my experience! Let me know what you find!
And thank you so much for the feedback and comment!
