@@jakebragg4804 Yeah I remember getting buzzed a few times by a drone while out fishing. Someone told me it might be fisheries checking what some boaters are up to, not sure if its true but wouldn't surprise me.
Great video Terry, loving the longer format showing a lot of what you are doing and not just the hook ups. It’s awesome to see you living up to the good name most kayak fishos have and being happy to share knowledge (even a lure!). Every question I’ve asked or conversation I’ve had with a kayak fisho has involved knowledge sharing, everytime I try to have a conversation with most land/boat based fishos has felt like there is so many secrets that are forbidden to be discussed - question, when you launch from Glenelg is there anywhere to park and launch easily without having to pay for parking? Been a while since I’ve parked up down there
Thanks Tyla, yeah I try to show the good, bad and the ugly haha! Ive mentioned before I wont have my secret spots, I'll always share where Im going and how I'm catching or sometimes not catching! In this video I show where Im parking and wheeling the kayak down the ramp. Hope it helps, Terry th-cam.com/video/lv2guW_3I9E/w-d-xo.html
Awesome vid again Terry, sux being crook and missing out on a day out fishing here, glad your better too , those salmon on light gear are such fun , the head cam is great too , new yak arriving next week i hope ,then i feel more comfortable out in the sea :) , ok mate catch up soon i hope ,have a nice day back at work :)
Thanks John, just pick your days on the ocean and you'll enjoy it. I only try to go out in calm weather these days. Don't want to fight the swell and wind, its just not enjoyable. What Kayak did you end up getting? Get well soon mate. I'm thinking of trying Semaphore again soon for some squid and crabs. Rest up mate.
@@kayakfishingins.a4327 got a 3.9m ocean yak from bay sports again, reviews were good from owerners,so see how we go, got to be able lift it of the trailer yet ha ha ha see how i go :) mite have bitten off more than i can chew :)
Good video mate, great to see the salmon out. Went to fish the pat but couldn't find many bigger models. Ended up getting a KG on a zman grub which was a first though 😂
@@kayakfishingins.a4327 Was lucky to be a KG more like a Prince George if anything. Wouldn't have been over 24. Had a 40 cm one go for my lure but he missed it unfortunately.
Great to hear mate, you're probably doing better than me with the squid. Glad you're feeling better, thought I had the c as well but 4 tests over a 2 week period were negative. Still not feeling the best either.
If you're a bit more patient and hold squid in the water for 20 seconds or so longer at the surface using your rod to direct them away from you, they will squirt out the last of their ink and you don't get nailed by it. Works on jetty's too. Saves pissing about with the mess.
Salmon are hard on tackle. The trebles on the double clutch are very thin salmon will snap and bend them no worries the bigger they get. I’ve had trebles twisted to a mangled mess.
The 60mm double clutches you were using the terminal tackle are poor. 75mm up wards are better as they use the owner st36 trebles which are good. I like 60mm double clutches too but normally change the trebles to the owner ones before I use them.
Thanks for the info mate. Yeah I usually do use the bigger lures and had no issues, but this time tried the smaller ones. The hook up rate on the smaller ones is good but yeah looks like I need to swap all the trebles out.
Great video mate! FYI can only use 2 rods at once on SA, keep up the great work
Thanks mate, yeah I do remember reading that somewhere, good point.
@@kayakfishingins.a4327 shit rule in my opinion anyway I reckon 95% of boaters don’t follow it but knowing my luck I’d get fined for it one day lol

Awesome Video, need to get out to Glenelg rocks, was at North haven yesterday and not much action on the fish, some big crabs were around though.
Yeah I heard the crabs are still around, I was thinking about taking a crab net out with me but last minute decided not to.
Mate the picture is really good I enjoy your channel keep up the good work 🎉

Good video Terry. Some great fishing
Thanks Kevin, much appreciated.
well done mate love the longer vids keep it up
Thanks mate, was going to make two vids but thought the action at Aldinga (Leather Jacket Central) wasn't that good for its own video.
Hahaha beautiful video mate loved to hear the reel screaming and big salmon being caught on the yak!
Yeah was a great session, thanks for the great tip Alex.

have you tried right at the end out of the breakwall at outer harbor?
No not yet, I'll check it out sometime, maybe when I launch at Nth Haven.

Yeah thats a good idea unless youre having squid fights on the boat like we did a couple of weeks ago. We couldnt stop laughing.

Haha sounds messy! 😂

Yeah was a bit disappointing to see as the lures are not cheap. I can understand the bending but most were just snapped off.
Some great salmon there by the way.
Thanks mate, I enjoyed the fight they put up.
I’ve never tried brain spiking them. I’ve always just cut the neck. You cut the main artery and they bleed out quickly
As you saw I just push the knife in from the bottom and cut the gills, they bleed out pretty quick as well. Both ways work.
Hey Terry, do you think the salmon are always there?
No not all the time. I went there a few weeks before and only got one salmon closer to the beach.
