Pro tip: If you want to avoid tear-out on hard coated chipboard, use a sharp saw, and make sure that the cutting motion is *into* the visible surface. On a circular saw, this means nice side up. With a jigsaw, nice side down. And tape. And if your jigsaw can tilt the blade back to front, activate that feature. Edit: You're showing very good practice to put a sacrificial board under what you're drilling, that prevents tear-out perfectly. Great job! Edit: I truly love your Dad jokes. They add a special touch.
@@diyforknuckleheads absolutely! I love how you share your knowledge and skills in such a relatable manner. Not all too shiny, with results that a normal guy can achieve. This helps beginners to do something and not only watch. Great show!
I can confirm what someone else said: I live in England and I never put beer in the fridge. I prefer room temperature beer. When it's cold you can't taste it and can't drink it fast enough! On a VERY hot day I do drink cold beer, but... it's England, I could die of thirst waiting for a hot day! Having said that, it's a great project, which has given me some tips for making other things. The blue tape tips before sawing/drilling are priceless, and the cap catcher has given me a great idea for a new project: a wooden board painted like a dart board, embedded with magnets, at which you throw your beer caps from your arm chair. I'm too lazy to make it so you can have that idea on me! Cheers!
You're an ideas man Nick....magnetic dart board hey 🤔 .....leave it with me 😁 Mate if you rocked up to a barbecue over here with warm beer you would be politely escorted out 😂 Thanks for watching mate.....much appreciated 👍😁🇦🇺🍺🍺

Shane, Back in October I contacted you about a beer caddy with your twist on it. You said you would try to get one out there. You delivered with flying colors. Not only did you come up with some genius ideas, you made the caddy in Iowa Hawkeye colors. I don't know if that was by design or a coincidence (since I'm from Iowa). Either way, thanks for the build. I plan on making a few of them real soon. Best wishes. Mike
I remember Mike 👍 You got the old brain matter turning over 👍 Glad you liked it mate. Just an idea but l reckon for version 2.0 that you silicone the cans down to hold them in place rather than going through the effort of cutting the blocks to hold the cans down during the freezing process. Good luck with them mate and go the Hawkeyes 👍👍😁🇦🇺🍺
I'm just so utterly proud of you, Uncle Knackers, the way you forced yourself to drink that warm beer for the sake of another impressive video! Who needs a stunt man when we have you.... my hero! 😍🤣

Heres a tip uncle knackkerrrssss, i would just put the silicone used to seal the inside, on the bottom of the cans, that way they don't pop up and would remain stuck to the bottom, as we say in plumbing "do ya best, silicone the rest" ahahahah
