When Howie said "I was so effing busy" with the mental labor of OCD, wow can I relate to that. I grew up differently because of how much time I spent in my mind, battling the constant intrusive thoughts.

Thank you Dr. Mcgrath, and thank you Howie Mandel. PLEASE continue to inform and educate the world on OCD. Your voices are heard louder than most and will get the attention needed for this. God bless.

An amazing interview. I get it. It's exhausting. Thank you both for making fellow sufferers like me. ( I have Emetaphobia and health anxiety, due to chronic medical conditions). For myself and others watching this, we're not crazy or weird, we're worriers with bells on. Thank you, thank you. 😊

Don't feel bad Mr Mandel. I'm a physician and didn't recognize or seek help for my OCD until my mid-40s also.

It's (unfortunately) common for people to go years without getting a proper diagnosis! It's important to spread awareness of what OCD truly is - hoping our podcast will help with that!

    Thank you Howie.
I started with early early, but small irritants and not thinking much about it at age 9. My OCD grew and became a daily occurrence (all day long) at age 35. I thought until I was the age of 55 that I was the only one and did not know of OCD. It gave me hope and was amazed that they are others with this, however the feeling and all that goes with OCD is still with me today at 65.,I spoke with NOCD for several months st twice a week. Help so very much, I stopped only because my therapist needed to take time away from her position there. It’s been 12 months since my last visit and now going back to NOCD very soon.
Those with OCD, Please give NOCD a call and Award as it may be at first talking of your thoughts and behavior can decrease if not almost dissolve, and most importantly, NOCD will deliver.
    Hope it helps!
