- Once I got my derailleur replaced with a SRAM X01 on my 2021 Trek Roscoe 7, I went back to the trail and drop that I broke it on to redeem myself. I've learned some tips to improve my riding from the channel "Kyle and April Ride MTB" which were a huge help.

It's a great trail and the local mountain bike association does an amazing job taking care of it!
Man, your vids have been a lot of help .. great to see your son shredding, perfect time to learn "action" sports. Everything I'm decent at I learnt as a young teen/kid, even when I pick it up decades later. Way smoother. Not that I think your son is way better than you.. haha.. but can can only see him and he's looking pretty slick.
Oh, my 12 year old is indeed a better rider than me haha but I love seeing my kids surpass me. Just wish I could set the bar a bit higher for them 😂
Not sure where you are at now but Watershed is a great place to practice small jumps and gaps.
I've passed by it a few times when I was out that way. Going to have to check it out sometime soon, thx!

Hey Buu Lam. I'm brand new to mountain bike riding and have ordered a Roscoe 7, it comes in about 2 weeks. Do you think this is a good bike for a beginner? I bought a medium/large - I'm about 5 foot 10
Absolutely a great bike to get going with and beyond! I'm about the same height and that's the size I got. How do you like it so far?
Buu Lam I haven't got it yet. It was due to arrive 21st December but now pushed back to 28th December! 🙁 I'm in Australia by the way. It seems there is a huge wait on bikes because of Covid 19! I was lucky to get this one in December. Many bike shops had waits well into next year!!!

I do! The orange Trek Marlin 5 video I have is my oldest sons bike. My younger son also has a Marlin 5 but smaller. They are really enjoying their bikes :)
@@buulam thanks, just watched your orange trek video, the boys I am looking to get bikes for are 8 and 10, I am thinking the Marlin 5 is to big, I am checking trek website on tire size, thanks for the reply.
@@wurlabyscott My younger son is 9 and he's got the XS. It's a bit big on him but I figure I can squeeze a few extra years out of it this way :)

what cause the derailer break?
I think the chain was caught somewhere in the landing and pulled hard on the derailleur but I don’t know for sure
