  • In this video we will learn oxygen concentrator how it works
    Currently india is facing a huge Oxygen Shortage in this situtation this could be a simple and fast solution to Oxygen Shortage.
    The World Health Organisation (WHO) in 2015 stated, “Concentrators can operate and produce oxygen 24 hours a day continuously, and may last up to five years"
    The experts claim that oxygen concentrators are not as good as Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO), which are 99 percent pure and are a good option for mild to moderate COVID-19 patients, whose oxygen saturation level is at 90 percent or above.
    The cost of these concentrators varies depending upon how much oxygen they produce per minute. Their cost may vary between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 90,000 in different markets. yes the are expensive but remember they produce oxygen as long as we provide POWER and AIR.
    Pressure swing adsorption ( PSA ) oxygen concentrators utilize a molecular sieve to adsorb gases and operate on the principle of rapid pressure swing adsorption of atmospheric nitrogen onto zeolite minerals at high pressure. This type of adsorption system is therefore functionally a nitrogen scrubber leaving the other atmospheric gases to pass through, leaving oxygen as the primary gas remaining. PSA technology is a reliable and economical technique for small to mid-scale oxygen generation

    Separation actually happens due to the difference in the quadrupole moments, not the size.
    Also, while one of the Cylinders is in Adsorption mode the other is purged from the product tank, not directly from the other Cylinder.

      ok, good comment if this is true. is there then a back flow check valve which opens up to allow the stored o2 product tank pressure to flow back and cleanse the nitrogen clogged zeolite?

      These oxygen concentrators utilize a molecular sieve to absorbent gases and operate on the principle of rapid pressure swing adsorption of atmospheric nitrogen onto zeolite minerals at high pressure. At high pressure, the porous zeolite adsorbs large quantities of nitrogen, because of its large surface area and chemical characteristics. The oxygen concentrator compresses air and passes it over zeolite , causing the zeolite to absorb the nitrogen from the air.
