Jan was not tracked, so starting Feb. So far so good. Just trying to start with sinking funds. And cash envelopes for groceries, entertainment, fun and coffee as one, then my dog has one, and want to see how a cash savings challenge will go too. However, im debt free except my mortgage, want to do renovations and travel. Want to pay off my home early as well. Love your videos. Im starting to understand the process more and more by watching you do your workbook, so thanks so much!

Do you track spending done on a gift card or other form of payment that does not go against your budget? If so, how?
I do, but it is similar to a cash envelope or cashless tracker, and not on my expense tracker.
I do not track it on my expense tracker.
Hi Miko i like your idea of naming a sinking fund...although im having a bit of a hard time not using money for its intended purpose but i do have to keep focused! I wanted to use my tax refund for a vacation but must use it to put in my emergency fund and to pay on a credit card. Any words of advice for when i am stressed out and want to spend the money because i am stressing? Thank you😮

You have been so helpful in my journey. In one year I’ve gone from 1 sinking fund and 1 emergency fund - now to 36 (😮😂) sinking funds at last count.
What is the benefit of using the $5 from your food budget if it means you don't have enough food money to cover the month? I struggle with figuring the balance of saving vs spending sometimes, and i would hate to get to the end of the month and not have food because I saved the money earlier in the month. Im really curious how others handle this scenario. Thanks!!
