I doubt we'll see a new 2D game from Arzest anytime soon assuming they're still in Sega's pocket. Don't know what Hardlight is doing assuming it's not Crossworlds, Dream Team console port would be sick though. Maaaybe a DLC for Shadow Gens could happen but I highly doubt it. The only "BIG" thing I think we'll get this year is a teaser announcement of the Frontier's Follow-up near the end of the year, maybe more depending on how Development is shaping up. If anything that hasn't already announced for this year comes out, I will be pretty surprised. Show or movie wise, no idea. Some kind of animated short will pop up I'm sure. IDW will keep trucking along but idk if anything big is coming on that side of things. On the fan side of things, we're probably gonna see the final update for Project 06 so that'll be awesome.

I think one of the major things that's changed, that shifted the whole vibe of the series back to what it felt like in the late 90s early 2000s, IS that feedback from Frontiers and the DLC. It's not just that they got some relevant player test data for their game development, Iizuka and the rest of Sonic Team got told to their faces what people like about Sonic as a whole, from characters to story to tone, people brought up their favorites and least favorites and told them why. That's SUPER valuable from a brand prerspective, because it means they don't have to make guesses about the series' appeal anymore, and since these conversations are ongoing on social media and in the community, and they ARE still paying attention to that, they get to refine and refine and refine, take in the constructive criticism, retain the positive feedback, and bring Sonic closer and closer to its most authentic, best self. You can see it even in the IDW comics, and in how Sonic and Amy themselves are portrayed. Sonic feels more Yusuke Urameshi, delinquent punk impatient smartass shounen protagonist than he did even in Frontiers, especially as of the Riders arc (haven't caught up on that, just seen a few screenshots), and Amy's got her fiery 2000s female anime lead energy back WITHOUT the possessive crush thing holding it back. She's got some real Sakura Haruno, Winry Rockbell, Kagome Higurashi energy. If they take the feedback they got on the gameplay in a similar direction to what they did with the presentation, characters, worldbuilding, and storytelling in Shadow Gens, the physics, level design, level aesthetics, all that? Not only will I think Sonic is back (he has been for a bit now), I genuinely think we might begin approaching "ready for a real Sonic Adventure 3" territory, whether they actually MAKE that or not. I do think if they decide to, remaking 06 first, the game with only niche diehards with EVERYTHING to fix and almost exclusively improvements to make, would be a really smart, efficient call. Build a solid Adventure style engine for a game that's not so sacred as the Adventure games, and if that goes well, THEN remake the Adventure games. They DID recently hire a new Mephiles voice after all. Plus, with all the time erasure shenanigans going on there and in Gens, it WOULD NOT be hard to justify retconning a few key things...like the kiss. I'm tired of the kiss, you're tired of the kiss, I'm sure lazy games journalists talking about the Sonic series and bringing up 06 for the billionth time are tired of the kiss. Just make it Elise's tears. Soleanna DOES have a lot of phoenix imagery, and pheonixes have healing tears, and Elise did house essentially a fire spirit. Just make her symbolically a phoenix, reborn after her (very platonic) Adventure with Sonic into someone with a freer spirit. Lots of other fixes to make there, but if there HAD to be only ONE...god I'm so sick of that screenshot.
I think a great comparable for the Riders boards potentially being in Crossworlds is the bikes in Mario Kart. They still use the same basic controls and mechanics, but with slight twists (ex. drifting inward rather than outward), to make them feel distinct. If they took that kind of approach, I think that would be a great integration of the extreme gear in the context of a game that's mainly a kart racer.
Jakks pasific just made a wherehog action figure. 2025 may be a less packed year for sonic but I’m still expecting little surprises like that though out the year.
It would be amazing to get an animated show in the style of dark beginnings with the 3D models in the 2D shading. I also think we will definitely get a movie shadow spinoff show or movie, leaning more so towards a show, especially since we got a knuckles show. The sheer popularity of shadow especially in america comes nearly as close to sonic himself if not more. It has the potential to go into shadow's backstory since it was, in my opinion, intentionally left so vague in sonic 3. I hope a game announcement is made this year about a potential sonic heroes or even a SA2 remake.

This year is probably a cool down year for 2026 into 2027. We’re getting Sonic Racing Crossworlds, Sonic Rumble, and the DC collaboration. I could see us getting a lot of announcements this year, for potential remakes like Heroes, maybe Shadow 05 or Sonic 06(20th anniversary for Shadow 05 this year and 20th anniversary for Sonic 06 next year), a tv show(maybe Knuckles season 2 or animated show like Dark Beginnings), Sonic Frontiers or Shadow project. They will get the hype up for the projects to continue rolling into Sonic movie 4, then slow down once again with a possible Sonic Unleashed remake in 2028 and then the year of Silver with the release of the movie in 2029. You did the joke with the potential Switch issue for a "warp to other levels" thing, but they kinda did that with Shadow Generations already. I think that, rather than dynamically loading near instantly like a PS5 game, just had Radical Highway loaded in the background of all those levels, but that was a pretty seamless transition and what I could picture them doing for a multi-console(and potentially mobile Hardlight-made-spinoff safe) approach to dimension hopping, especially in a multiplayer game where some players might not BE in the same spot. On the topic of Chao... I really hope we don't get a mobile phone Chao thing, since it would become a lootbox/microtransaction/gacha type thing, rather than just a made and done side mode to a main game or its own spinoff for consoles. As far as some next game thoughts, I'm a tiny bit concerned as far as a likely Frontiers 2 after how well it did, because the reasonable direction for it would probably be less Shadow Gens, and more Sonic Frontiers, obviously. That then means we get less of the "Sonic does cool shit mid-level with Generations-esque level designs" and more "Bite sized levels made to be dipped into while you explore an open world zone". They've probably heard and taken feedback into account already even before Shadow Gens, we probably won't get an exact repeat of Melancholy Unreal Engine BotW Land and Only 4 Tilesets, but I assume a major part of the formula for a Frontiers-like is the fact they can put levels together more easily and with little context with an open zone big and simple enough to sprint through, rather than Shadow's "We need to budget to have a mid-stage transition where Shadow does coolshit on a helicopter and it'll only happen once, EVER" approach. I was originally thinking that a console or PC port of Sonic Dream Team could make for a great "filler" title for non-Apple folks late this year or early next, as a download exclusive game perhaps... but while I'm sure Apple's exclusivity rights would expire eventually as they did for things like that one TMNT game, I'm also betting they'll want to throw a lot of money at SEGA to still keep it exclusive after the results of the recent movie to have an exclusive game with Sonic/Tails/Knuckles/Shadow now, even without the movie designs.
Back in 2022 , we thought that was the best year for Sonic in a long time. We got Movie 2, Origins, Frontiers, and Prime Season 1. Then we got 2023 which wasn't as big as 2022 IMO but we got Dream Team, Superstars, Frontiers DLC, and Prime Season 2. And in 2024 we got the Knuckles show, Prime Season 3, SXSG, and Movie 3. I wonder if this year will finally be a slow down but maybe not.
I think this year will be smaller, but that’s because next year is Sonic’s 35th Anniversary and they’ll have big plans for that (like the next mainline game perhaps)
I think a really cool idea for a 2d show would be less focused on the action and more on the relationships between Sonic and his friends (think the Sonic Channel artworks by Yui Karasuno, more chill than the huge adventures). I always love seeing the Sonic Channel pictures because they add so much sauce to the everyday activities. Like have an episode where Sonic, Amy, and Cream do some baking or cooking together and whatever hijinks might ensue as they work in the kitchen, or maybe have something with Silver and gardening (something he does in the comics), get Blaze in there somehow too. It could work as either shorts or shorter TV episodes, but it would be awesome and help reintroduce side characters that haven't been as prominent as of late to get newer audiences attached (I need more Blaze content).

Tbh if the main thing we are getting this year is the new sonic racing it’s going to be more of a dead year for a lot of fans even if the game ends up being really good, cause other than that, Rumble, the DC comic crossover and whatever usual mobile updates there are not much else is happening which makes sense cause sonic team will be working on the next big game which will mostly likely be a sonic frontiers 2. Unless there’s a remaster of another previous game in the works or if that heroes remake rumour is true, which if so.. and ends up being good or even better than the original, holy moly I can’t wait.

I feel like 2025 will keep the momentum but I also think it will be a sort of “buildup year” for something massive in 2026 with the franchise I could be wrong but nowadays I trust SEGA to do something great

And also at this point, definitely think that it would make sense to either, have a multiple racing game, the celebrates each of the individual Titles / Styles Riders, transformed, team Sonic racing, Maybe Sonic R :)? Or the alternative which would be crazy but also really fun, the multiple tracks in one race, but they do a cool thing where they start mixing and matching different themes so you get unique set pieces during the race which would be sick to race down Radical Highway( SA2) To Speed highway(SA1). Although I'm sad the year of Shadow is over. The potential now for the franchise is through the roof! I seriously cannot wait for the next mainline game and even any remakes/remasters they got cooking with all that eventually the leading up to movie 4.
I expect this year to slow down compared to the past couple of years. But that's okay, that's not a complaint. Let them cook! CrossRoads will probably be the big thing for the holiday season, while we wait for bigger stuff in 2026 or 2027. Maybe we'll get a Heroes remake, but that might not be this year

No sir, that is a COMPLETELY new engine, built from the ground up cus Yuji Naka wanted a new approach that could win the hearts of outsiders(and technically it worked) Adventure games and Heroes follow separate philosophies when it comes to game play, hell the level design is even different
What I actually want is for the Archie Comics have their own television series. I don't know if that what all fans want in general. But it does show that this version of Sonic is in fact the strongest one. I would also want for Sonic to have more entertainment with his fighting skills. Including his Super Form!

I commented this on the 2024 wrap up video, but I feel like “Frontiers 2” is bound to be announced by the end of the year. It feels like that’s the type of year this is. No crazy game releases, we got Crossworlds and Rumble, and then an announcement for the Frontiers sequel. I feel like it makes the most sense, and then 2026 may be the hype years like 2024 again. Though we really don’t know, we thought that things were gonna slow down in 2024 and 2023, but it didn’t. So we just have to wait and see.
With 2025, while I'm expecting some things, I think this will be one of those weird years where nothing really happens. There might be some announcements, along with the release of games like Rumble, but I believe everything will be going next year with the 35th anniversary year, followed by early 2027 for movie 4's release for the spring (I really hope it releases around that time). I could be totally wrong, but after the Year of Shadow, I would expect a bit of a break from things to prepare for 2026 and 2027.
I think it's unrealisticly optimistic to except the Rider Board to be anything more than a decorative set piece, however I do see a world where the hover board could be a Mario Kart Bike equivalent where it's the same thing with different physics
In terms of the 2D games, I'm thinking that Sonic Team needs to either do a complete overhaul of the formula or, at least, make more spin-off games that better appeal to the Japanese audience still appealing to all other audiences across the world. One example could be a 2D action RPG Sonic game that's more story driven and similar to Metroidvania in terms of level design. Instead of the game focusing on being a standard point A to point B game, it's more driven by the story and exploration and involves multiple playable characters, each with their own unique movesets. Basically, whatever genres of video games that are the most popular in Japan, Sonic Team needs to find a way to implement elements of those types of games into the 2D formula in order for it to be more appealing to that audience. Truth be told, platformers other than Mario are not that popular in Japan. That especially applies to Sonic, where one of the most popular games in the series in Japan is Frontiers, which implemented open world and RPG elements in its game design. That goes to show that Sonic leaning more towards action RPG is the way to go in order for the games to be more appealing to the Japanese audience if you ask me. Sonic Team has constantly played it safe with Classic Sonic up to Superstars, so I think it's time to change things up. Shattered Crystal and Fire and Ice were the closest to what I'm talking about with implementing Metroidvania elements into the formula.

My take on Crossworlds is A. I don’t think the Extreme Gear is just an homage, because I’d like to think they’re not stupid enough to announce their kart racer with ANOTHER pointless tease toward a completely unrelated racing game people have wanted to see revived, just as TSR was teased with the Sonic R logo. That tease actively sabotaged the game, rightfully setting people’s expectations for an on-foot racer, only to instead reveal a game that was conceptually disappointing even if you didn’t screw with fan expectations. I’d go as far to say it lost them thousands in sales. Making a similar mistake again would be absurd. B. If we have the Gears, they’d probably take a similar role to Mario Kart’s bikes, being a secondary vehicle type with a different handling style. I don’t see them putting it as a kart transform because there isn’t really much benefit to transforming into one. Extreme Gears could reasonably run over water, and fly on their own without any transforming gimmicks. I feel like this is the smarter option, and the more they lean into Riders-esque mechanical depth, the better. Its the perfect way to appeal to Riders fans, and casual kart racing fans alike- Riders never reviews particularly well, because it isn’t accessible. So combining the most, and least accessible sorts of racing games under a single umbrella- it’s a win-win. It’s a crossing of worlds, even. It gives the name meaning.
Sonic Racing Crossworlds If i can request one thing from this game. Yall said travel across time. Stardust Speedway. Lap 1 takes place in the past, Lap 2 in the present, Lap 3 in the future. and if you wanted to make it SPICY. The future you go to depends on who is in first when first place enters Lap 3. If a hero character gets to l3 first its the good future. if a villain, its the bad future
A 2D Sonic show could absolutely happen if SEGA put the money for it, but they won't. 3D shows are cheaper, faster and easier to mass produce as has been shown with Prime. And regardless of what you think of that show, it did well on Netflix, and its because of the way they produced it: 3 seasons spread throughout a year with enough episodes for kids to play them endlessly worldwide. They would not have made shorts like Shadow begins and the Knuckles one had there not been a game to promote them. And those shorts arent even as long as one Sonic Prime episode, meaning they were more costly to produce, and SEGA does not seem to have any intent to invest on something like that. Also the reason Castlevania, Laserhawk, Edgerunners and other Netflix shows were made in 2D is because they are marketed as "adult anime" and wanted to capitalize on the success of anime on streaming. SEGA will never do one of those, as Sonic is still a brand for all ages, not one for adults. If Netflix ever does another show, I can only imagine is the one with the Prime team. Not a season 4, but a new show with the same studio and voice actors. You may get a 2D short when Crossroads releases and that Chao thing, but that's about it. Corporations will always go for the cheapest most efficient option, and 3D Netflix shows have a tendency to do well on streaming. Just the way business goes sadly.
Somewhat related to the Dreamcast celebration part, Sega did tease that they may show new stuff for the JSR reboot cuz it’s gonna be JSR 25 anniversary this year. So maybe they could announce a dreamcast collection then since they have to get new folks on JSR n Future (With better controllers)
I definitely am more interested in a Heroes Remake than a straight Remaster. There's a lot that can and should be improved upon in Heroes to make it stand up to the modern day. The slippery controls, the limited gameplay differences between the teams, etc. It would definitely be a good testing ground for an Adventure era remake. As likewise though I adore the Adventure series I think they would need some improvements to hold up as a re-release.
Honestly I'm not very excited about Sonic Racing Crossworlds, mainly because I didn't like Team Sonic Racing very much, and I'm just tired of kart racers. I don't even play Mario Kart 8 anymore, I enjoy realistic driving simulation games such as BeamNG Drive and Dirt Rally 2.0. The only Sonic racer that I really enjoyed was Transformed. I would've much rather wanted a new 2D modern Sonic game, or a new Sonic anime like Sonic X
On the topic with we haven't gotten a Sonic game that's a full on remake. Another point is Sonic is the only one of the big three of SEGA IPS to not have a remake as of yet. Yakuza/Like A Dragon got multiple remakes and Persona just got a remake with Persona 3.

Just make it Elise's tears. Soleanna DOES have a lot of phoenix imagery, and pheonixes have healing tears, and Elise did house essentially a fire spirit. Just make her symbolically a phoenix, reborn after her (very platonic) Adventure with Sonic into someone with a freer spirit.
Lots of other fixes to make there, but if there HAD to be only ONE...god I'm so sick of that screenshot.

I think a great comparable for the Riders boards potentially being in Crossworlds is the bikes in Mario Kart. They still use the same basic controls and mechanics, but with slight twists (ex. drifting inward rather than outward), to make them feel distinct. If they took that kind of approach, I think that would be a great integration of the extreme gear in the context of a game that's mainly a kart racer.

It would be amazing to get an animated show in the style of dark beginnings with the 3D models in the 2D shading. I also think we will definitely get a movie shadow spinoff show or movie, leaning more so towards a show, especially since we got a knuckles show. The sheer popularity of shadow especially in america comes nearly as close to sonic himself if not more. It has the potential to go into shadow's backstory since it was, in my opinion, intentionally left so vague in sonic 3. I hope a game announcement is made this year about a potential sonic heroes or even a SA2 remake.

This year is probably a cool down year for 2026 into 2027. We’re getting Sonic Racing Crossworlds, Sonic Rumble, and the DC collaboration. I could see us getting a lot of announcements this year, for potential remakes like Heroes, maybe Shadow 05 or Sonic 06(20th anniversary for Shadow 05 this year and 20th anniversary for Sonic 06 next year), a tv show(maybe Knuckles season 2 or animated show like Dark Beginnings), Sonic Frontiers or Shadow project. They will get the hype up for the projects to continue rolling into Sonic movie 4, then slow down once again with a possible Sonic Unleashed remake in 2028 and then the year of Silver with the release of the movie in 2029. You did the joke with the potential Switch issue for a "warp to other levels" thing, but they kinda did that with Shadow Generations already. I think that, rather than dynamically loading near instantly like a PS5 game, just had Radical Highway loaded in the background of all those levels, but that was a pretty seamless transition and what I could picture them doing for a multi-console(and potentially mobile Hardlight-made-spinoff safe) approach to dimension hopping, especially in a multiplayer game where some players might not BE in the same spot.
On the topic of Chao... I really hope we don't get a mobile phone Chao thing, since it would become a lootbox/microtransaction/gacha type thing, rather than just a made and done side mode to a main game or its own spinoff for consoles.
As far as some next game thoughts, I'm a tiny bit concerned as far as a likely Frontiers 2 after how well it did, because the reasonable direction for it would probably be less Shadow Gens, and more Sonic Frontiers, obviously. That then means we get less of the "Sonic does cool shit mid-level with Generations-esque level designs" and more "Bite sized levels made to be dipped into while you explore an open world zone". They've probably heard and taken feedback into account already even before Shadow Gens, we probably won't get an exact repeat of Melancholy Unreal Engine BotW Land and Only 4 Tilesets, but I assume a major part of the formula for a Frontiers-like is the fact they can put levels together more easily and with little context with an open zone big and simple enough to sprint through, rather than Shadow's "We need to budget to have a mid-stage transition where Shadow does coolshit on a helicopter and it'll only happen once, EVER" approach.
I was originally thinking that a console or PC port of Sonic Dream Team could make for a great "filler" title for non-Apple folks late this year or early next, as a download exclusive game perhaps... but while I'm sure Apple's exclusivity rights would expire eventually as they did for things like that one TMNT game, I'm also betting they'll want to throw a lot of money at SEGA to still keep it exclusive after the results of the recent movie to have an exclusive game with Sonic/Tails/Knuckles/Shadow now, even without the movie designs.

Back in 2022 , we thought that was the best year for Sonic in a long time. We got Movie 2, Origins, Frontiers, and Prime Season 1. Then we got 2023 which wasn't as big as 2022 IMO but we got Dream Team, Superstars, Frontiers DLC, and Prime Season 2. And in 2024 we got the Knuckles show, Prime Season 3, SXSG, and Movie 3. I wonder if this year will finally be a slow down but maybe not.

I think a really cool idea for a 2d show would be less focused on the action and more on the relationships between Sonic and his friends (think the Sonic Channel artworks by Yui Karasuno, more chill than the huge adventures). I always love seeing the Sonic Channel pictures because they add so much sauce to the everyday activities. Like have an episode where Sonic, Amy, and Cream do some baking or cooking together and whatever hijinks might ensue as they work in the kitchen, or maybe have something with Silver and gardening (something he does in the comics), get Blaze in there somehow too. It could work as either shorts or shorter TV episodes, but it would be awesome and help reintroduce side characters that haven't been as prominent as of late to get newer audiences attached (I need more Blaze content).

Tbh if the main thing we are getting this year is the new sonic racing it’s going to be more of a dead year for a lot of fans even if the game ends up being really good, cause other than that, Rumble, the DC comic crossover and whatever usual mobile updates there are not much else is happening which makes sense cause sonic team will be working on the next big game which will mostly likely be a sonic frontiers 2. Unless there’s a remaster of another previous game in the works or if that heroes remake rumour is true, which if so.. and ends up being good or even better than the original, holy moly I can’t wait.

I commented this on the 2024 wrap up video, but I feel like “Frontiers 2” is bound to be announced by the end of the year. It feels like that’s the type of year this is. No crazy game releases, we got Crossworlds and Rumble, and then an announcement for the Frontiers sequel. I feel like it makes the most sense, and then 2026 may be the hype years like 2024 again. Though we really don’t know, we thought that things were gonna slow down in 2024 and 2023, but it didn’t. So we just have to wait and see.

With 2025, while I'm expecting some things, I think this will be one of those weird years where nothing really happens. There might be some announcements, along with the release of games like Rumble, but I believe everything will be going next year with the 35th anniversary year, followed by early 2027 for movie 4's release for the spring (I really hope it releases around that time). I could be totally wrong, but after the Year of Shadow, I would expect a bit of a break from things to prepare for 2026 and 2027.

In terms of the 2D games, I'm thinking that Sonic Team needs to either do a complete overhaul of the formula or, at least, make more spin-off games that better appeal to the Japanese audience still appealing to all other audiences across the world. One example could be a 2D action RPG Sonic game that's more story driven and similar to Metroidvania in terms of level design. Instead of the game focusing on being a standard point A to point B game, it's more driven by the story and exploration and involves multiple playable characters, each with their own unique movesets. Basically, whatever genres of video games that are the most popular in Japan, Sonic Team needs to find a way to implement elements of those types of games into the 2D formula in order for it to be more appealing to that audience.
Truth be told, platformers other than Mario are not that popular in Japan. That especially applies to Sonic, where one of the most popular games in the series in Japan is Frontiers, which implemented open world and RPG elements in its game design. That goes to show that Sonic leaning more towards action RPG is the way to go in order for the games to be more appealing to the Japanese audience if you ask me. Sonic Team has constantly played it safe with Classic Sonic up to Superstars, so I think it's time to change things up. Shattered Crystal and Fire and Ice were the closest to what I'm talking about with implementing Metroidvania elements into the formula.

My take on Crossworlds is
A. I don’t think the Extreme Gear is just an homage, because I’d like to think they’re not stupid enough to announce their kart racer with ANOTHER pointless tease toward a completely unrelated racing game people have wanted to see revived, just as TSR was teased with the Sonic R logo.
That tease actively sabotaged the game, rightfully setting people’s expectations for an on-foot racer, only to instead reveal a game that was conceptually disappointing even if you didn’t screw with fan expectations. I’d go as far to say it lost them thousands in sales. Making a similar mistake again would be absurd.
B. If we have the Gears, they’d probably take a similar role to Mario Kart’s bikes, being a secondary vehicle type with a different handling style. I don’t see them putting it as a kart transform because there isn’t really much benefit to transforming into one. Extreme Gears could reasonably run over water, and fly on their own without any transforming gimmicks.
I feel like this is the smarter option, and the more they lean into Riders-esque mechanical depth, the better. Its the perfect way to appeal to Riders fans, and casual kart racing fans alike- Riders never reviews particularly well, because it isn’t accessible. So combining the most, and least accessible sorts of racing games under a single umbrella- it’s a win-win. It’s a crossing of worlds, even. It gives the name meaning.

I think a game like murder of sonic would be cool this year.
A 2D Sonic show could absolutely happen if SEGA put the money for it, but they won't. 3D shows are cheaper, faster and easier to mass produce as has been shown with Prime. And regardless of what you think of that show, it did well on Netflix, and its because of the way they produced it: 3 seasons spread throughout a year with enough episodes for kids to play them endlessly worldwide. They would not have made shorts like Shadow begins and the Knuckles one had there not been a game to promote them. And those shorts arent even as long as one Sonic Prime episode, meaning they were more costly to produce, and SEGA does not seem to have any intent to invest on something like that. Also the reason Castlevania, Laserhawk, Edgerunners and other Netflix shows were made in 2D is because they are marketed as "adult anime" and wanted to capitalize on the success of anime on streaming. SEGA will never do one of those, as Sonic is still a brand for all ages, not one for adults.
If Netflix ever does another show, I can only imagine is the one with the Prime team. Not a season 4, but a new show with the same studio and voice actors. You may get a 2D short when Crossroads releases and that Chao thing, but that's about it. Corporations will always go for the cheapest most efficient option, and 3D Netflix shows have a tendency to do well on streaming. Just the way business goes sadly.

Somewhat related to the Dreamcast celebration part, Sega did tease that they may show new stuff for the JSR reboot cuz it’s gonna be JSR 25 anniversary this year. So maybe they could announce a dreamcast collection then since they have to get new folks on JSR n Future (With better controllers)

I definitely am more interested in a Heroes Remake than a straight Remaster. There's a lot that can and should be improved upon in Heroes to make it stand up to the modern day. The slippery controls, the limited gameplay differences between the teams, etc. It would definitely be a good testing ground for an Adventure era remake. As likewise though I adore the Adventure series I think they would need some improvements to hold up as a re-release.

Honestly I'm not very excited about Sonic Racing Crossworlds, mainly because I didn't like Team Sonic Racing very much, and I'm just tired of kart racers. I don't even play Mario Kart 8 anymore, I enjoy realistic driving simulation games such as BeamNG Drive and Dirt Rally 2.0. The only Sonic racer that I really enjoyed was Transformed. I would've much rather wanted a new 2D modern Sonic game, or a new Sonic anime like Sonic X
