The two events I went to by myself I had the most fun. I could maneuver through the crowd easier and cool people approached me more just because I was alone especially girls. More people traded kandi with me and I only had to worry about myself the whole time and about not losing my friends.

I went to Dreamstate last year by myself and I was very hesitant , almost didn’t go. I ended up going and I had the best time ever and I actually met my boyfriend there ,now we go to every single show together 😭❤️

I'm honestlyso excited because I can see the artists I wanna see and go at my own pace! I think it's going to be an amazing experience and I hope to meet you at EDC Orlando!
I went to my 1st rave solo (beyond wonderland 2019) that shit was amazing. At 1st i was a little nervous since it was my 1st time going to a rave, but going in and exploring i started to let go. Day 1 salvatore ganacci started his set and after that i blew up and did not stop dancing the whole night. Now im just buying tickets to raves no fs given. Ever since beyond wonderland my friends have got reeled in slowly and sometimes come get crazy with me. We have bonded more with edm and they really enjoy everything about the community but theyre still not ready to fully dive in. Going to escape solo and i cant wait to enjoy my favorite artists and discover new ones🤘
this one was so fun to listen to. I still haven't been to a festival alone yet either, but I definitely want to try it out one day. I love being around other people, but I've also had some fun going off alone during fests when my plans don't align with my friends'. great to hear so many success stories :)

@@EmmaKapotes yayyy!! happy you found people to go with! but when you're with people all weekend sometimes it's nice to get some "alone time" by going off for a few sets. can't wait to see the vlogs of it! i bought tickets last year, but the plans fell through. i want to see what it's like finally and hear a comparison to EDC LV! i went to EDC NY in 2014 but EDCO seems way more epic
practical tips: 1) easier to meet people if it is daylight, at night and indoors people tend to be less interactive with the crowds 2) have accessories you can share with people, e.g. diffraction glasses, fans, etc, they go a long way into making you approachable 3) talk to other solo ravers to build some confidence/company before approaching a bigger group 4) go close to the stage so that the artist is the main focus point, not the crowd. You will need earplugs for that

Got asked if i was rolling several times when i was completely sober lul. It was fun and you can definitely vibe with people around you and they'll notice.
I feel like it would be suuuper amazing if there was like an emma kapotes social media group thang where we could all connect! And maybe even make friends to attend shows/festies with. I have gone to shows on my own before and with groups. But the last time I went alone I had the worst experience for some reason. Makes me a little nervous to give it another shot solo. None of my friends are really into this scene or at least optimistic about it so I'm pretty much on my own since the shows I have gone to in groups are in a diff place that I used to live. I’m going to Above and Beyond’s New Years Eve show in NYC solo. I’m from NJ but currently live in Alaska so I don’t get a lot of opportunities to go to shows or festivals. Since I’ll already be in the area visiting for the holidays I decided I have to go since I don’t know when I might get another chance to see them. I’m a little nervous about it but this episode has me feeling a lot more confident that I will still have a great time.

Bro I always go alone (my friends are a bunch of busy nerds), but I don't do drugs or drink (because my body cannot handle it). Near the front of every party is where you should go if youre alone, cuz nobody can tell youre alone since its always packed! I tend to go around 2 hrs after the party starts because by then the crowd is stupid drunk 😂

I didn't submit my experiences bc they are ALL just super negative lol I don't understand how others are having positive experiences. All the shows I've done solo have sucked, it's not fun partying "alone", I literally had no groups or one single person come up to me. Never doing it again, it's a waste of a ticket for me, I just won't go anymore if I have no one to go with.
You gotta be comfortable and confident to party hard by yourself . When others see you having the time of your life solo they will come. It’s attracts ppl

You HAVE to enjoy the music and be at least pretty confident to be able to have a good time alone at events. I love going alone so much.
