If im not mistaken, it’s Ahren doing the high screams during the breakdown. I don’t think Joel can go that high. After seeing them live and seeing Ahren scream occasionally, it’s nice to hear him do it in the studio. He has gotten better because before it took a lot out of him to scream.

I agree. I’m not a fan of their cleans, they sound a little too much like Blink 182 (who I never liked) for me.
If you were a bigger TAA fan you would already know that Chasing Ghosts album and LTOTM album was heavier.
Listen to the other two singels they released in the past, they are heavier

Been lukewarm on TAA for a long time, but this specific song really gives me hope. It feels like a maturation and progression of their sound from LTOTM, which is a great thing.

I absofuckinglutely LOVE IT! TAA has been a HUGE inspiration to my writing as I've gone through so many of the same declines as Joel & Ahren, can relate so much to all of their experiences yet still able to arise and find meaning in life. Absolutely great track and the entire album in just nothing short of amazing! 🤘😝🤘

I like Memphis May fire a lot and I especially love Matts vocals since they are more like 2000s bands which I love a lot, like Linkin park, Limp bizkit, korn ,slipknot etc. After chester's passing away I was heartbroken since I wont be able to see this legendary band anymore. Right now I'm in India (Fyi I'm an Indian) and I wanted to see Linkin park here in India atleast once in my life which wont be possible anymore. However, recently I found a Indian band they sound like linkin park but the language is Hindi. It sounds like Linkin park are doing Hindi songs. When I first listened to them, it just blew my mind and it was just like hearing Linkin park but in my language. I think you should check them out. Its called "Hybrid theory tanhayee". I dont know the band name is, maybe something "Aushomapto". But me and friends are calling them "Indian Linkin park".

Joel is the one who writes the lyrics. He's been through difficult times, been sober for years now though. He is bipolar. Writing helps him deal with things. If you do a little research or pay attention to what people do and say beyond the surface you will be surprised how similar they are to you. Many times it's the people who seem like they have it all together that decide to end it.

You know that there are other vocal effects that exist 🤡🤡
Most modern metal songs use pitch correction and other effects to make the vocals pop more in the mix. They might tune the vocals if they’re a little off key, but doing all of that won’t make a garbage performance gold. You still have to be a capable singer for the vocals to sound good.
