What up what up CDL family,, Quick update, I went into the DMV this morning to take my last and final endorsement test to become a school bus driver. Last week I completed getting my General knowledge, Airbrake, and School bus. So this morning I took my passenger test and yo boyyy PASSED! I have received my permit papers.. I now have all 4 test done. I’m scheduled to start my hands on pre trip training next week. Shot out to my boyy CDL CED for putting me on game as well as the APP. Shot out to the CDL family for the support in the comments.. Let’s keep it going yooo!

My friend went to take his Class B tests here in CA and he had to do the regular drivers license Class C again, and also didn't know he had to have his DOT physical and Birth Certificate, and TWO forms of documents that show your current address so he has to go back and get all that together.

My brain can’t retain all that information at one time. Lol Im going knock out the general knowledge and the air brake first on February 5th. Yea & once you see that your getting 95% - 100% on the app run to the dmv while it's fresh in ya head & take the endorsement exam just remeber they may change up the answers a lil bit @ the dmv on the exam so make sure you study them endorsements on that app hard. Take the practice exams on the app as well.GOOD LUCK

I would not shit on the Class C license so fast. Yeah it limits you like crazy, but for someone who wants to get into the school bus driving game and there are no CDL B classes at the moment in which the companies pay for it, getting your foot in the door with a Class C is the way to go. Get that Class C, drive the small buses, get acquainted with the work, make your rep standout and when you get your class B to drive bigger buses, it will only work on your favor as you've showed you can tackle anything which means more easier routes and work for you. That's the path I'm taking and at $25 for the small buses, that's not bad. Also, my city offer free CDL B classes and the next one is in January which I'll be aiming for. Regardless, keep it up fam!
Thanks for the comment & as you mentioned in the beginning of you comment you are very limited to what you can do with a class C. I had a class C & could not find work only BS. When I got my B every company out they're was chasing me down with job offers, all I'm sayin is go for your A or B.
@@cdlced true but you also have to remember, some people are more than happy to never get either their A or B. Two instances: I met a short bus driver who wants nothing to do with B size buses. He says that it's too much responsibility and he'd rather drive disabled kids. A truck driver came into my job a while back and was driving a straight truck for Ward Express and he told me he loves straight trucks because he wants nothing to do with driving tractor trailers. Sure less money, but not everyone is in it for the money and I get their choices. Also since I got you here: 1. what kind of BS job offers were you offered? 2. What state/district do you drive your bus in? What kind of pay and benefits are you receiving?
@@Salesman I would just go to Class B school bus route training that way you DONT limit yourself and you open up the availability to drive ANY Class B OR Class C, why wouldn't you just go straight School Bus Class B to have EVERYTHING covered to not limit your choices or options, if you want to stay in Class C then you can, but if other offers come your way you can also do B. Get it all done in one shot with the school bus class B training would seem the most ideal. 💪 You'll get used to Driving the Class B trucks and they will be like driving a smaller one once you get the hang of it.
