I really admire the reed-valve Maico 250s. I thought my 1982 Husky 250CR was the hottest game in town until dad bought his 81 Maico 250. That thing drags my bike up and down anywhere you want to try and take them. I've been next to a mid-2000s KX250 on my Husky and I honestly can't say the modern bike feels like any more of a threat than that Maico. It really motivates.

good looking bike i always wanted the macio 490 but got the yz 490 cause it was cheaper
I remember when the bike came out. I always thought the colors were absolutely perfect. The gold accents are spot on.
