I actually like that these vlogs are not multitasking and they're more like playtime or doing something or showing something, I think they're really cute and relaxing and fun and also more content dense than just how it could be if you slowly talked while unpacking or something like that. they just all look like the kind of videos that you and the kids could find fun to watch when they're grown up
Moving with 8 kids must have been super hard! So far I've moved houses 3 times but it has always been just me and the boyfriend. And I thought that was hard! Can't imagine moving 10 people + a whole business!!
Chloe, I really feel for you and hear your joyful exhaustion after this last move. I am 71 now but we moved six times in eight years and I remember the feelings. I think you are wise to know that hiring movers and even packers next time if it is feasible is the best investment in staying sane. I didn’t have them unpack for that would have driven me nuts but packing sure helped. They did it in a day or two and then we could unpack boxes as we needed them, starting with kitchen and bedrooms the first day. Now we only had two kids but I think that only shows how much better it would be for you with your big family. Wishing you all the best and I know it will get better soon. Never think that you are not a multi talker for you are from the moment you wake up until the second you go to bed each night, both of you! It will get better.

Oh I remember moving with small kids, a nightmare, and I only had three... We are of course curious to see the new living arrangements but being adults (?) can wait patiently until you are settled in. So take your time, thanx for sharing those adorable babies' shenanigans! Love your family...
They say the stress of moving house is like a divorce during Christmas. It’s horrible. I’ve just moved as well and I have 6 kids. Anyway, on your next vlog, are you able to show us how you set up the house. Who is in what room etc…
It makes way more sense than some you tube families who tape first than have less time for their kids. Better to spend more times doing real life mommy and wife stuff than trying to keep any of us strangers entertained. I have 8 kids all grown but my 17 yr old son. Enjoy all their childhood years it goes way to fast! It is a beautiful house!
I found packing everything in boxes, and hiring someone to carry them downstairs, worked great. I rented a truck, and my daughter and her boyfriend met me at the rental place. He drove the truck, a couple guys met us at my house, and it was loaded in a few hours. We loaded all my plants and more delicate items in our vehicles. Cleaned a little. She took off, and I had to stop at the RealEstate office to take care of some business. 4 hrs later I arrived at my new place, and they had moved me in. The key is getting everything packed early. Glad you got through it ok with 8 kids. I think that pretty amazing.
Totally agree about packing early. As soon as you know you intend to move is the day to start. Off season clothing and linen, family photos, pictures, books, they can all be packed away so you can see what you want to get rid of.

I get your exhaustion. Moving is HARD!!! Especially with a large family. We've moved a lot and have always moved ourselves and it does end up taking a month or two between the early packing, the moving, and the unpacking. Best wishes to you as you push through to those last boxes and get your business organized again.
Moving house is one of the most stressful things anyone can do. My partner and I moved house just under 2 years ago now. We in our infinite wisdom thought, we will move ourselves. I kid you not, halfway through the process, i was exhausted. I remember carrying in our mattress which is a thick orthopedic one, i felt like my legs wouldn't support me any longer. I flopped onto the bed and said " get me a paramedic". I would never move myself again. It took it out of the both of us.

You and Ro seriously are superhuman doing it yourselves with 8 kiddos 🤯 take your time with the vlogs and don’t forget to give your selves some down time in between unpacking too!
@@blahblahhhhhaaaa7601 , I'm sorry but I'm 62yrs old and raised 2 adult children and that actually how we tested our children back when they were little babies to nuts, milk, and a lot of other food allergies. so go Blahblhhhhaaa yourself.
My friend used to eat peanut butter sandwiches all the time as a baby and then when she got to school age one day she had an allergic reaction and needed an ambulance. The last time she came into contact with peanuts it was less severe but unfortunately allergies don't always present in a baby and also sometimes they can present very dangerously
@@blahblahhhhhaaaa7601 there has actually been a connection with lack of exposure to foods and allergies developing later in life. obviously its not something that happens with all allergies, but that connection has been studied and confirmed.
Moves are VERY hard. Adding eight kids to the mix and ALL their things makes it more so! AND we hired people for our last move AND it was a life changer! SO much better! You are doing a great job! Thanks for the update!
Jeepers, don’t even apologise for not vlogging! Moving is one of the most stressful things! I did it in June - just myself - and I cannot even imagine what it would be like with so many kids. People who vlog through it are in denial about just how physically and emotionally spent they are! Give yourself a break.

Don’t stress. We are moving also. Not with children but with 1 dog, 3 cats and an umbrella cockatoo. As long as the kids are good you are doing a great job. It’s very exhausting! You are doing fantastic! Good luck in your new adventure!

Don't stress about your next move, enjoy your current home and employ removalists next time. The last time we moved, 20 years ago, I was given an A+ from the removalists. I began packing before we put the house on the market, heavy items like books in small boxes, light items like pillows and quilts and lamps in the huge boxes. This method means a fast loading and unloading of the truck and as you pay by the hour it's important. My kids have all moved out of home now, out of state too and have benefited from this advice, sometimes in a negative way. Naturally Mum doesn't know what she's talking about, then moans about having to unpack heavy boxes in the car.
Hi 👋🏻 Thanks for the update, good to see you smiling after the intensity of the move 💖 We moved from the middle of England to Rural Northern Sweden last August, we drove which took 3 full days, 2 overnight ferrys and one night in a hotel. With three kids under 10 and a 9 month old puppy!!!! We lived in an Airbnb for 3 months then moved into our own home which was an hour's drive away ... Like you, we did it gradually but I absolutely understand the 'I never want to move again' feeling ... We are now in the very early planning stage of building our own house ... Something else I said I would never do!!! 😂 I firmly believe that we ought never to say never 😭😂😭😂 Can't wait to see all the kiddos in their new rooms 💖

I’ve been thinking about you guys a lot lately! I’ve gone back to school and I absolutely hate it. It’s just not for me I’ve always hated public school, I’m riddled with anxiety and have a lot of trouble making friends. I wish my parents were as open as you two so I wasn’t forced to do traditional school.

Now it takes time unpacking. and organizing..i found actually getting things back took up to 1 yr..to make it homey again. I saw your Insta story about the haunted house hahaha. You need to set up a camera and see if you capture anything. Have you said to the kids about it? Sometimes it is worth the few hundred dollars to hire someone to move for you. Also saves everyone’s backs. They know how to lift all the big stuff and turn the couches to get out the doors etc.
