    This wasn't about winning or losing it was about a guy who set out to acomplish something. When many doubted he would even get on stage he seen the goal through to the end and proved to us all that you can push hard and achieve great things if your driven, are willing to work hard and sacrifice things. Levrone didn't get the Sandow but I couldn't give a shit that wasn't the point if you thought it was you missed something......

    Kevin Levrones biggest most powerful muscle is his heart.. What an absolute legend!

    • @isida509
      @isida509 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Heart is not a muscle 😅

    • @woooster17
      @woooster17 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Ahmed Really, it isn’t? What ‘in your opinion’ is it then? I’ll help you out... ‘Cardiac muscle (also called heart muscle or myocardium) is one of three types of vertebrate muscles, with the other two being skeletal and smooth muscles. It is involuntary, striated muscle that constitutes the main tissue of the walls of the heart. 🙄

    • @isida509
      @isida509 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@woooster17 Heart itself is a cardiovascular organ. Myocardium is the name of the muscle of the heart. Your very hand is composed of muscle but it is known as the upper limb not muscle. I am a orthopedic surgeon, who are you kidding? Btw, what you mean by your comment I can understand. So, chill. 🙂

    • @woooster17
      @woooster17 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ahmed Thank you, I understand the difference between ‘a limb’ and the muscles within that allow movement of said limb/hand.. I stand by my initial answer & which you repeated ‘Myocardium is the name of the muscle of the heart’ i.e. involuntary, striated muscle which constitutes the main tissue of the walls of the heart’
      I am chilled, but thank you for asking.

      Ruhl and Lee Priest always stand out to me in the era they were near the top. Oddly neither of them retired and got small. Lee Priest is a genetic freak. Genetically gifted in so many ways and short-changed in others. Markus.............was the mass monster among mass monsters. Ramy is not there, his legs are to long for his height. (not his fault) It's just something. Markus was nowhere near balanced in any way, shape or form....he was a monster. Some of us think that deserves respect. (Lee was a monster too just not in the same way) I don't know if his arms will ever be beaten.

      even with with drugs... he transformed his body in such a short amount time dramatically.. give any other 52 year old all the drugs in the world and they don't come close not everyone or anyone can do it with just drugs lmao, he structured his diet and never strayed from it, never missed a training session or a rep, he tore his pec for christ sake just trying to bring the best package he could. Don't fucking downplay his amazing accomplishments to simply drugs you fuck wit. he is and always will be a legend

    • @WntrSoldr69
      @WntrSoldr69 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      hhhk20 any old great who comes off the gear look like shit. Hard to tell that Shawn Ray or Dorian Yates once stood on the Olympic stage and they all have bellies.. and of course they're all off the Anabolics maybe still test for HRT but not like they used to. I 100% doubt that they could come back on all the gear they were on, stick to a nutrition plan, never miss a training session, and do the cardio required to make the drastic of a comeback. It just doesn't happen

    Isso sim brother, é exemplo de garra, força, superação! Quando o camarada é novo, ou está ali na meia idade e reclama por doer, porque é difícil, ele não imagina que depois dos 40 é muito pior e que a maioria desiste por não ter espírito de guerreiro, de vencedor. Esse cara, KEVIN LEVRONE é o que chamamos de exemplo, de guerreiro. Na minha opinião, ele e o Arnold tem o mesmo espírito. Só a morte faz pessoas assim pararem de acreditar em sí próprias. Mesmo sabendo que ele não ganhará o olympia, eu o respeito muito. Pra mim ele é um dos melhores que já subiram naquele palco. Deus seja louvado cara, me emociono em saber que mesmo nas dificuldades da vida, quando achamos que tudo está perdido e o mundo conspira a nosso favor, onde há esperança, sempre haverá chance de vencer e lutar.

    Kevin is the modern day rocky, a peoples champion. It was nice seeing him on the stage once more from the golden era of bodybuilding.

  • @ingaz6565
    @ingaz6565 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    For those who keep criticizing Kevin, specially about his legs. First he suffered a torn upper pec just a few months before the Olympia. Somehow he showed up with a well built chest anyways. Also he suffered the entire preparation period with knee issues that kept him from squatting. Anyone who has done some weight training knows that if you want to build mass on your legs you have got to squat, there is no substitute. He could have pulled out of the olympia, sited injury as the cause. Instead he pulled through, pushed as hard as his body would let him and showed up on stage bigger then most men could ever hope to get. Last I heard he has been receiving treatment for his bad knee and has had a great recovery. Things are pointing to a full recovery which will allow him to train his legs like he used to. If so i would not be surprised if he showed up again next year.

    For all those criticising Kevin's decision to comeback at 52, questioning what was the need; Kevin answered it in an interview with Shawn Ray. It was eating him mentally, he felt he was not done, he felt he had to go on stage one last time, like rocky ,one more round. It was more of a personal goal than trying to promote his brand or winning titles. He did it to calm down his inner soul which felt that he had to compete, he still had it in him. And now he has made peace with it. If he hadn't done it and listened to everybody else advising him not to come back, he would've spent rest of his life in regret thinking what if I had tried. Atleast now he knows what he thought he could do was not practically possible but he gave it his all and now his mind is at peace
