My sister is out in afghanistan at the moment in Lash Kagar. She's in the military police, she helps out the afghani women and children and is responsible for training the afghan national army. Im so proud of her, never could I do something like that.
I am an army girlfriend, my boyfriend has just returned from his 3rd tour of Afghanistan. Long have us left behind served silently. I think this is fantastic, showing the nation what we at home go through during those 6months. i've brought my numerous copies, chokes me up every time-it hits very close to home xxx

600 people have no heart at all!, how can anyone dislike this...these women are singing from the heart, they miss their loved ones at this time, and of course at anytime while their other halves are away, serving crown and country. I respect our forces and will stand by them unlike certain ones, god bless our troops, and god bless these military wives!

How can anybody not like this. These women are proud of their husbands and the job they do and we should show our pride alongside them. Some of these women may never see their loved ones again so the whole country should stand with them and honour them as much as we honour the personnel of our armed forces..

The television series, the video, the song, the choirmaster, the choir and the sentiment are all simply amazing. The whole country should get behind them and ensure that this becomes the number 1 song of the year, never mind just Christmas!
Yesterday, I attended my first carol service this year. This was one of the songs performed by the children's choir. Now is the season and Jesus is the Saviour and the Light of the World !
My boyfriend is going to be posted out to Afgan soon and this song really touched me, These women are really inspirational and i really hope i can be as strong as them when he goes.

I think the dislikes are more aimed towards hatred of the war rather than the individuals who support their loved ones going out there to serve Take a second to think about the fact that they go out there for their duty and they dont come back every evening and spend time with their children. I hate war, I resent soldiers going in my country and my brothers' and sisters' countries, but it is the proponents of war (prime minister, presidents) whom I shall complain to, not these wonderful heroes.

I don't have any family in the forces, but I do know what it's like when you say goodbye to a loved one and you know there's a very real possibility you'll never see them again.
