thanks this works with cracked version heres what you do: you follow the same steps but before launching open up "bgt5launcher" and press "start hostmode" do not press singleplayer or multiplayer or dedicated server you just keep it open in the background after that you just launch from the mods thing that he told you to launch from and ur done dont close the bgt5 launcher or it will stop working

Restart your computer after all installations are complete and make sure you're launching from the mod launcher and not the original black ops launcher.
I can solve it, I open the BO MODS and choose the mod I want, but when I go to zombies, which is where the mod works, it says that the bo1 servers are not available, my Black ops 1 is Pirate, I already restarted my computer
Copy the files from nodvd in your files paste it into the area you launch the game from open bgt5 launcher press start hostmode don't click out or press singleplayer multiplayer or dedicated server and now start from the bo mods and ur done

If it fails, I would suggest deleting the game via file explorer. Meaning don’t uninstall the game from Steam. Delete the entire Black Ops 1 folder manually. Then reinstall.
There is a mod of the nacht der untoten with perks for black ops 1 called "nacht 4.0", but to install it, it is needed to replace the files with the original untoten, can I install the nacht 4.0 on the mods without replacing the original files?
Now that's an interesting question. My immediate thought with no research I would say make a copy of nacht der untotens folder and put it somewhere outside the game folders. Install the mod and when done with the mod swap the folders to switch between the types.as long as the folder stays the same name it should be fine. Worst-case scenario reinstall Black Ops

@@DestinationCorporation Thanks for replay mate! it's on secondary driver at the moment but yesterday I did copy it to the C driver (primary) and unfortunately was giving same error but today I changed the name of Blackops.exe to BgamerT5.exe (Cuz I'm using pirate version :) ) and now it opens with CMD and it says "an error occured press any button to exit" and dont know how fix it.

If you have your black ops one game on a different hard drive from the mod launcher you’ll need them on the same hard drive. Also if you don’t have BO1 in the normal default Steam directory you may also experience problems. If you have them both on the same drive and in default directory. Then you may need to reinstall black ops one since it’s not recognizing your games exe.

You absolutely want to extract the game_mod files. Depending on whatever method you choose. Either win rar or 7zip. I just dragged the files out of the folder which on my computer auto extracts them.

That doesn’t require a mod. Just enable command console on the main menu. Then Google all the commands for the game dev mode. For example “God_Mode” there should be a command like give “gun name” or give “perk name”

Reverse Light No problem! Thanks for the sub. It’s appreciated. Every single person helps. I try to reply to everyone I can but it gets hard if TH-cam doesn’t notify you when someone comments. As for the BO1 and BO3. BO1 is modded externally from Steam. You have to use the modding tools. If you’d like more modding help or information. If you join the Discord there’s someone on there named M1 and he knows a lot about the other modding options for BO1 specifically. As for BO3. All modding is done through the Steam Workshop. Super simple one click download. No BS Steam does all the work for you.

Everytime I click on BO_Mods and launch the game it says "error Steam must be running" and I have tried everything. I uninstalled the entire game and reinstalled, I restarted my computer, I opened the game first then opened BO_Mods and everything fails. I was wondering/hoping there was another trick or solution you had up your sleeve to help me out. My game is legit not cracked and I followed every step carefully.
I would suggest opening task manager and ending all Steam processes. Then reopening Steam. Running the game through Steam, close it. Then reopen using BO_Mods

Is there a way to make a custom camo for guns and maps that is still working? All I found was a 4 year old video with old stuff in it that doesn't work at all.

Sh0ur0v okay that’s why the computer is a bit lack luster for gaming. BUT what you can do it go into graphic settings and turn EVERYthing down. Once you have all the settings turned down turn your graphic resolution down as much as you personally can stand it. Make sure you’re in windowed mode. BUT if you still are struggling to fix it then I would gladly help you personally, you just gotta either add me on discord or join my discord server
Does anyone know how to do this on a steam deck, if its even possible? I tried it and on the "game mod" zip file the "BO_Mods" is instead "BO_Mods.bat" and I can't open it
I’m not sure how mods work on the steam deck unfortunately. I think as of currently only steam workshop mods work BUT If you want to mod a game. Instead of searching “How to mod a game on Steam Deck” search “How to mod Game on Linux”

discord link doesn't work anymore. im having issues. i can access mods in game, i see the mods i have unzipped in the mods folder, but the maps dont show up when i click zombies, then solo
i've got it figured out. me being an idiot didn't extract the contents of the mod i used to the mods folder, but instead put the whole (extracted) zip file in the mod folder. there should only be one folder that holds the mod files not two

Did you put BO1 anywhere other than the default setting? As in did you install BO1 onto any alternative drives or locations other than C: drive in the steam apps common folder?

@@WaseyaB It shouldn't be asking what to open with. It's a program. not a file. you may have extracted it incorrectly. try deleting the game mod and reinstalling it
@@DestinationCorporation its a batch file and the first problem i figured out was just the McAfee thing blocking it, turned it off and now it lauches the batch but pops up with EXE_CANNOT_FIND_ZONE
@@thewildwastelander all content needs to be in its default location in order for this to work. Other wise I’m not exactly sure how to do it. So C: drive>Steam>Steamapps>common>blackops>BO_Mods
I know it say's that, but you can be reassured by myself and the other 24,000 other people that used this tutorial it is not a virus. If you're getting the windows warning, select "Read more" and run anyway. If it's another virus protection you will need to allow access to it by giving either administrative permission or selecting the mod to be allowed by the virus protection software.

I’m not certain what comment you saw since this has been up for a while and I’m not going to go through all the comments, so I’ll just do a quick run through with you on troubleshooting. You don’t have the German edition of the game correct?

You can still play online with mods. You just will need to either invite friends or have friends invite you with the same mods. Or unload the mods to play normal online

I'm not 100% sure, but I would assume sound packs just replace the original files so you could most likely drag and drop them over, but if that's not the case, the modding community probably has its alternative. I only cover the maps themselves but I assume, any mod is the same as long as they follow the same steps. (Where you originally got the mod pack will most likely tell you what you need to install it.)
Follow the steps for playing offline BO1, see if the problem persists. If it does then try another map. If it doesn’t persist. Then attempt restarting your PC and trying again. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=753951537
There isn’t a point in adding an online lobby for public matches when there isn’t a large enough crowd to guarantee somebody is playin at all times. But if you want to play with friends. You or your friend must make a private match then invite one another to that match. Select the map and begin to play! (Be careful not all maps are multiplayer compatible and both players must have the same map installed.)
@@khx4232 if they don’t have the mods. When you go to launch the game it’ll either give an error or kick them out of the lobby. If each player doesn’t have matching files, the game won’t be able to communicate with itself
The links I provided don’t contain any viruses. If you downloaded the right links and content there should be any issues. If you downloaded the optional link then I made clear it was provided from a viewer and I have no details on that link. Be sure you aren’t clicking on the wrong download links and follow the video to a T
La Cosa Nostra Productions it is. The game_mod isn’t a virus. I downloaded it. As you see in the video. Never had any issues. Anything made by a random person on the internet such as mods will be seen as a virus because windows had no way to approve it
La Cosa Nostra Productions just always double check anything and make sure it’s from a good source. Typically make sure it’s from a TH-camr with somewhat high sub count and has comments enabled on the video. Check the comments to make sure people aren’t saying virus’s are present.
As far as I know you cannot modify any ONLINE features of the game, but local play you should be able to modify. Athough I personally do not know anything beyond adding Zombie maps to the game.
As far as I know right now. The only Multiplayer mods are mod menus which are sort of hacking the game. There is a better tutorial for that by another TH-camr
I’m assuming so if you know how to follow these steps with the exception of not going to steam for the executable but rather into plutonium’s executable. I’m assuming since the file management will be the same.
@@revolutionninetynine698 Yeah, so the problem is that Plutonium is most likely lunching black ops through their bat. While the mod is also trying to launch exclusively bo1 (BO1 Plutonium and BO1 Mod are both trying to launch Vanilla BO1 into their own lines of code) Now in the case that isn’t happening and that assumption is incorrect. There is a chance you are trying to launch in an incorrect fashion. Can you run BO1 plutonium without the mod?

Anshu Chamola yikes, yeah you’re not going to be able to really play this smoothly. The only thing I can really suggest is butcher the graphic settings. Window mode, and turn the resolution ALL the way down. Turn all graphic settings to the lowest they can get and set corpse size to tiny. That MIGHT make the game sort of playable? But once you hit higher rounds with more happening and more zombies. It’s going to get laggier

I would assume you drag and drop the map folder directly into the mods folder for BO1, keep in mind, if you unzip the file, make sure the folder you put in is the Last folder of the download so for example you don't want "Mods> Map name > Map Name > Map content" YOU WANT ""Mods> Map Name > Map content" If you need further help, join the discord and I'll be happy to take a look for you
@@draakool166 If you send me the link to that map and or how you found it, I can tell you if it's safe or not. Most of the time your computer will tell you it's dangerous just from the fact it's from an unknown source (Which most mods are)
Make sure to follow each step carefully. Restart your computer. Make sure to select the mod launcher in the local file. Not the game itself. If it’s still isn’t working. Restart the process by uninstalling the game, reinstalling. And following the steps in order again.
Ahmad cat Tayyem You can play just using the game itself as long as the game isn’t cracked. You just both need the map installed and running on the game. Once you both have it one can host and the other joins. The problem is getting it to just work. Some maps will work no questions asked. Others may crash and or not work the first time. And others won’t even let you both load in and crashes the game.
Ahmad cat Tayyem I would recommend getting BO3 on sale since it does go on sale often. Also I suggest getting WAW for modded zombies since it’s far more developed.

You absolutely want to extract the game_mod files. Depending on whatever method you choose. Either win rar or 7zip. I just dragged the files out of the folder which on my computer auto extracts them.
i followed the vid to a tee and whenever i try to launcher the mod launcher it either won't start, or eventually does but no "mods" option appears at the main menu, any advice?
It always helps to restart the computer and try again. If it fails, I would suggest deleting the game via file explorer. Meaning don’t uninstall the game from Steam. Delete the entire Black Ops 1 folder manually. Then reinstall.

That doesn’t require a mod. Just enable command console on the main menu. Then Google all the commands for the game dev mode. For example “God_Mode” there should be a command like give “gun name” or give “perk name”

Reverse Light No problem! Thanks for the sub. It’s appreciated. Every single person helps. I try to reply to everyone I can but it gets hard if TH-cam doesn’t notify you when someone comments. As for the BO1 and BO3. BO1 is modded externally from Steam. You have to use the modding tools. If you’d like more modding help or information. If you join the Discord there’s someone on there named M1 and he knows a lot about the other modding options for BO1 specifically. As for BO3. All modding is done through the Steam Workshop. Super simple one click download. No BS Steam does all the work for you.

Some places were informative and other places not so much. Considering how amazing of a modder you are.. i thought to ask if you knew ways not on steam to mod. Everytime I click on BO_Mods and launch the game it says "error Steam must be running" and I have tried everything. I uninstalled the entire game and reinstalled, I restarted my computer, I opened the game first then opened BO_Mods and everything fails. I was wondering/hoping there was another trick or solution you had up your sleeve to help me out. My game is legit not cracked and I followed every step carefully.
I would suggest opening task manager and ending all Steam processes. Then reopening Steam. Running the game through Steam, close it. Then reopen using BO_Mods

Sh0ur0v okay that’s why the computer is a bit lack luster for gaming. BUT what you can do it go into graphic settings and turn EVERYthing down. Once you have all the settings turned down turn your graphic resolution down as much as you personally can stand it. Make sure you’re in windowed mode. BUT if you still are struggling to fix it then I would gladly help you personally, you just gotta either add me on discord or join my discord server

If you want to mod a game. Instead of searching “How to mod a game on Steam Deck” search “How to mod Game on Linux”
add the bat file as a nob steam game and make sure they're both on the same proton version and that worked for me:)

discord link doesn't work anymore. im having issues. i can access mods in game, i see the mods i have unzipped in the mods folder, but the maps dont show up when i click zombies, then solo
i've got it figured out. me being an idiot didn't extract the contents of the mod i used to the mods folder, but instead put the whole (extracted) zip file in the mod folder. there should only be one folder that holds the mod files not two

@@thewildwastelander all content needs to be in its default location in order for this to work. Other wise I’m not exactly sure how to do it. So C: drive>Steam>Steamapps>common>blackops>BO_Mods

I know it say's that, but you can be reassured by myself and the other 24,000 other people that used this tutorial it is not a virus.
If you're getting the windows warning, select "Read more" and run anyway.
If it's another virus protection you will need to allow access to it by giving either administrative permission or selecting the mod to be allowed by the virus protection software.
on mine this mod can't be opened, and there it says error with opcode 0xe8, Can you help me? And mine is non-steam version btw

I’m not certain what comment you saw since this has been up for a while and I’m not going to go through all the comments, so I’ll just do a quick run through with you on troubleshooting.
You don’t have the German edition of the game correct?

You can still play online with mods. You just will need to either invite friends or have friends invite you with the same mods.

Do sound pack mods work?
I'm not 100% sure, but I would assume sound packs just replace the original files so you could most likely drag and drop them over, but if that's not the case, the modding community probably has its alternative. I only cover the maps themselves but I assume, any mod is the same as long as they follow the same steps. (Where you originally got the mod pack will most likely tell you what you need to install it.)

There isn’t a point in adding an online lobby for public matches when there isn’t a large enough crowd to guarantee somebody is playin at all times. But if you want to play with friends. You or your friend must make a private match then invite one another to that match. Select the map and begin to play! (Be careful not all maps are multiplayer compatible and both players must have the same map installed.)

@@khx4232 if they don’t have the mods. When you go to launch the game it’ll either give an error or kick them out of the lobby. If each player doesn’t have matching files, the game won’t be able to communicate with itself

La Cosa Nostra Productions it is. The game_mod isn’t a virus. I downloaded it. As you see in the video. Never had any issues. Anything made by a random person on the internet such as mods will be seen as a virus because windows had no way to approve it

La Cosa Nostra Productions just always double check anything and make sure it’s from a good source. Typically make sure it’s from a TH-camr with somewhat high sub count and has comments enabled on the video. Check the comments to make sure people aren’t saying virus’s are present.

As far as I know you cannot modify any ONLINE features of the game, but local play you should be able to modify. Athough I personally do not know anything beyond adding Zombie maps to the game.

As far as I know right now. The only Multiplayer mods are mod menus which are sort of hacking the game. There is a better tutorial for that by another TH-camr

I’m assuming so if you know how to follow these steps with the exception of not going to steam for the executable but rather into plutonium’s executable. I’m assuming since the file management will be the same.

@@revolutionninetynine698 Yeah, so the problem is that Plutonium is most likely lunching black ops through their bat. While the mod is also trying to launch exclusively bo1 (BO1 Plutonium and BO1 Mod are both trying to launch Vanilla BO1 into their own lines of code)
Now in the case that isn’t happening and that assumption is incorrect. There is a chance you are trying to launch in an incorrect fashion.
Can you run BO1 plutonium without the mod?

Anshu Chamola yikes, yeah you’re not going to be able to really play this smoothly. The only thing I can really suggest is butcher the graphic settings. Window mode, and turn the resolution ALL the way down. Turn all graphic settings to the lowest they can get and set corpse size to tiny. That MIGHT make the game sort of playable? But once you hit higher rounds with more happening and more zombies. It’s going to get laggier

I would assume you drag and drop the map folder directly into the mods folder for BO1, keep in mind, if you unzip the file, make sure the folder you put in is the Last folder of the download so for example you don't want "Mods> Map name > Map Name > Map content" YOU WANT ""Mods> Map Name > Map content" If you need further help, join the discord and I'll be happy to take a look for you

Make sure to follow each step carefully. Restart your computer. Make sure to select the mod launcher in the local file. Not the game itself. If it’s still isn’t working. Restart the process by uninstalling the game, reinstalling. And following the steps in order again.

Ahmad cat Tayyem You can play just using the game itself as long as the game isn’t cracked. You just both need the map installed and running on the game. Once you both have it one can host and the other joins. The problem is getting it to just work. Some maps will work no questions asked. Others may crash and or not work the first time. And others won’t even let you both load in and crashes the game.

If you are certain you have Check to make sure the NORMAL game is booting fine, boot directly from steam. If you get an error then the problem is your BO1, uninstall reinstall.
