I'm so happy you're reading Daughter of the Blood. I've started reading the series in my adolescence and it was the book that introduced me to fantasy. I can now see that somethings can be problematic but I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!
I am indecisive about what books to read, so I thought I would wait, but watching your TBR makes me want to attempt. This is sounds like a fun readathon. If I do it I would do two paths also. The Witch and Faery path.
I am SO excited for you to read The Black Jewels!!! It has been one of my absolute favorites for so long and it definitely seemed to inspire Sarah J Maas with ACOTAR. I have tried recommending it to Becca, as well, since I think you both would love it. Dark, sensual, complex, fantasy romance. I hope you love it!! :)
The Black Jewels is sooooo good. All of the trigger warnings plus violence. I've been low key trying to convince Becca to read these. This series is one of my faves of all time. Using it for the oracle path is great. You'll see why in the first few pages.
Personally going as a mercenary! Heres my list: ⚡anticipated read: Skyward. ⚡weapon on the cover: All the Stars and Teeth. ⚡featuring a magic battle: Howl's Moving Castle. ⚡inspired by history: All the Light We Cannot See.
And if I have time for a second path, I'll be first joining the royal court as a jester, before changing into a sorcerer! 🤔😱 ⚡fun middle grade: White Fox by Chen Jiatong. ⚡book with red, purple or gold: Drown by Esther Dalseno. ⚡a book about books: The Library of Legends by Janie Chang. ⚡ 5-star-prediction: An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson.
Sorcery of Thorns and Library of the Unwritten are both amazing. I’m taking the Assassin path and crossing over to be a Royal Spy, then add in a couple of extra prompts from Faerie and Monarch paths
I'm doing exactly the same- choosing the Goddess and Oracle paths. I'm breaking my TBR up with a graphic novel and a manga but also plan on reading Circe, Wicked Fox and A Sprinkle of Sorcery so it should be a good reading month! :)
Im going for Faerie first and then Goddess ❤❤ Books for Faerie promts: Featuring fae: the cruel prince Book with a foil cover: the wicked deep Featuring woodland: winterwood Outside comfortzone: the rosie project
I love your make up! I'm planning on taking the goddess path and I want to be a Trickster Goddess. I would have loved to also take the Royal Spy path but I'm afraid I wouldn't have had the time to read so much when taking into consideration all my other reads for the month.
I wanna to be goddess and royal spy as well but the same as you I dont think I will have time so I will go for the goddess, still cheking my tbr but I will be ready
As soon as I saw your first book pick I knew this video was going to be a favourite! 😍 I hope you LOVE Crier’s War aaaand we’ve both chosen The Library of the Unwritten for the same prompt 😇 I’ve chosen the Oracle Assassin path mwahahahaha and I’m literally bouncing up and down in anticipation to start this readathon. Thank you for creating such a wonderfully inspired readathon - my imagination is alight! Plus your make-up is STUNNING 💜

And, I just finished A Pinch of Magic because of your recommendation. Loved it! Such a great story and nice ending. Which sister are you? I am a Charlie. Lol

Well! I chose Crier's War for the non human main character prompt too! I wasnt 100% sure but if you've chosen it then I feel valid haha. I'm really excited about it!
I at first decided just to do witch but it makes sense for my story to halfway through the witch path start on monarch. My story influenced by the books I'm reading too. A young, smart girl is reading in her family's garden one day when a talking turtle comes along and tells her of trouble in the forest surrounding her land (Small Gods Terry Pratchett animal character). She goes to help them because she has a kind heart but through helping the animals discovers she's a witch with magical powers. After helping the animals and finding there's no one to help her through her training, she travels the world to train (Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain foiled cover). When she returns she finds her home taken hostage by a demon king. He sees her power and forces her to marry him for the good of her people while he drains her power she learns how to be a queen (Jesus: A Pilgrimage by James Martin Queen as a main character). She learns that this reign by fear is no way to run a kingdom so she starts a rebellion (American Demon by Kim Harrison...magical battle). After several unfortunate deaths (Redshirts by John Scalzi red on cover) and a failed suicide mission (African Queen by C.S. Forester..highest rated), she calls on the powers of the kingdom's goddess (Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman occult elements) and wins with her help. She settles down to rule her kingdom and rests with her friends (Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen a favorite).
@@AFrolicThroughFiction the funny thing is that 90% of these books were already on my June TBR before deciding on doing the Read-a-thon. I just had to add one.

I just had to ✨✨ I'm looking forward to finally reading ACOTAR and hopefully loving it!! Love the make up, it looks really cool, and again, thank you to you and Charlotte for giving us the #MakeYourMythTaker 🖤
It would likely depend on the prompt - if it's something like "featuring fae" but the characters don't become fae until alter in the series, that's fine. Prompts such as "featuring woodland" are more specific to the book
A Frolic Through Fiction The prompt is “featuring an animal” it had appeared earlier in the series, and although it is an important part of the series, I’m not sure it shows up in this particular book.
Hi! I just discovered this readathon and I really want to participate but I'm not a big fantasy reader, can I still participate if I read classics that fulfil the prompts? Thanks
Great video Ashleigh. I hope you enjoy Bone Criers Moon. N your makeup is beautifully done. I recently read The Library of the unwritten and I thought it was good and it does have a lesbian representation. The plot is very strong with good characterisation.
I can’t wait for you to read Well of Ascension!! It’s probably my favorite in the trilogy! I’m SO excited to read Bone Crier’s Moon! Also your makeup is PERFECTION ❤️❤️📚✨
I'm going to be a pirate! Hopefully I can get to all of them in June...
I had absoloutley no idea that Sorcery of Thorns had any LGBTQ rep! I've not heard a single person mention it so I hope it is more than just a single reference to it or something. Your makeup looks amazing! 😱 I chose the witch path and if I finish that I'll be heading down the pirate path too because... witch pirate 🤣
Apparently it is just mentioned once, and there's debate between whether it's a forced thing and whether people are erasing it being there. Thank you! We love a witch pirate ahaha
I'm going as a mercenary so anticipated read: a ballad of songbirds and snakes weapon on the cover: norse mythology featuring a magic battle: a darker shade of magic inspired by history: not sure yet lol
I'm going for the Knight character! Favorite author: The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness Weapon on the Cover: Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir Continue a Series: Earthsea 2 by Ursula K Leguin A Quest to Save: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo Maybe my knight will be witchy or something, who knows. Trying to do as much LGBTQ rep as possible in this TBR as well. So fun! Thanks for organizing.

I'm soooo excited for the readathon to start!! 👏I declared my TBR over on twitter yesterday and I cannot wait to start it asap 😍 I've chosen to be a bandit turned fairie and then I've also added the Oracle path because... I just had to ✨✨
I'm looking forward to finally reading ACOTAR and hopefully loving it!!
Love the make up, it looks really cool, and again, thank you to you and Charlotte for giving us the #MakeYourMythTaker 🖤
ahaha I love it! So many paths. Omgggg ACOTAR?? You're about to have the best time.
And thank YOU!
Is it okay if a prompt exists in the series in general but not necessarily in the book I’m reading itself?
It would likely depend on the prompt - if it's something like "featuring fae" but the characters don't become fae until alter in the series, that's fine. Prompts such as "featuring woodland" are more specific to the book
A Frolic Through Fiction The prompt is “featuring an animal” it had appeared earlier in the series, and although it is an important part of the series, I’m not sure it shows up in this particular book.
Hi! I just discovered this readathon and I really want to participate but I'm not a big fantasy reader, can I still participate if I read classics that fulfil the prompts? Thanks
Any book counts!
@@AFrolicThroughFiction Thank you for the response! I will definitely participate
Do the books for the myth maker have to be in order, according to the prompts?
the first four do!
Great video Ashleigh. I hope you enjoy Bone Criers Moon. N your makeup is beautifully done. I recently read The Library of the unwritten and I thought it was good and it does have a lesbian representation. The plot is very strong with good characterisation.
Thank you! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Library of the Unwritten!
I'm going for a knight.
Love it!
I can’t wait for you to read Well of Ascension!! It’s probably my favorite in the trilogy! I’m SO excited to read Bone Crier’s Moon! Also your makeup is PERFECTION ❤️❤️📚✨
I mayyyy have swapped it out for another so you many need to wait a little longer aha but I'll get round it it eventually. And thank you!!
I think i read that highest read prompt wrong. I thought it was to read my highest rated. Oh well it has a 4.14 average so yay it work lol
I'm going to be a pirate! This is my primary TBR:
featuring water: On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan
dark cover: All Systems Red by Martha Wells
featuring a journey: What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami
bargain book: Norroway Book 1: The Black Bull of Norroway by Kit & Cat Seaton
I also have a few extra books that fulfill prompts to build the backstory I've thought of for my character. Hopefully I can get to all of them in June...
You've got this!!
I had absoloutley no idea that Sorcery of Thorns had any LGBTQ rep! I've not heard a single person mention it so I hope it is more than just a single reference to it or something.
Your makeup looks amazing! 😱
I chose the witch path and if I finish that I'll be heading down the pirate path too because... witch pirate 🤣
Apparently it is just mentioned once, and there's debate between whether it's a forced thing and whether people are erasing it being there.
Thank you!
We love a witch pirate ahaha
I'm going as a mercenary so
anticipated read: a ballad of songbirds and snakes
weapon on the cover: norse mythology
featuring a magic battle: a darker shade of magic
inspired by history: not sure yet lol
sounds like a fab TBR!
Just goddess here
Nice makeup! :)
Thank you!! 😊
I'm going for the Knight character!
Favorite author: The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness
Weapon on the Cover: Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
Continue a Series: Earthsea 2 by Ursula K Leguin
A Quest to Save: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Maybe my knight will be witchy or something, who knows. Trying to do as much LGBTQ rep as possible in this TBR as well. So fun! Thanks for organizing.
I hope you have the best time! Sounds like you have a fab TBR lined up!
Your make up is stunning
Thank you so much!!
I going for assassin, but if I can I also want to become an assassin goddess
Amazing!
I picked a royal spy, assassin, pirate! Come over and watch my #MakeYourMythTaker TBR! youtu.be/th-cam.com/video/C9s8SB5_Yhk/w-d-xo.html

🥰🥰🥰
That’s an interesting TBR. I added a couple to my wish list. I’m taking the Pirate path on Instagram. :)
Hope you enjoy!
Daughter of the Blood 🩸 😈😈
Hi!
hello!
you beautiful beautiful human
ahaha thank you :)
I did not pick up on any lgbtq+ rep in Bone Crier’s Moon but have seen sooo many people wishing it was haha
thank you for letting me know!
The main character in Library of the Unwritten is pansexual and there's a past f/f relationship 🥰
thank you for letting me know!
