After Thanks to Them, Hunter is left with new scars and without a Palisman thanks to Emperor Belos causing the death of Flapjack. Luckily thanks to the events of season 2, there's a good chance that Hunter will get a NEW Palisman by the end of The Owl House season 3! What will happen to Hunter after the series, will he stay in the Demon Realm or is he ready to move onto Earth?

I personally love the idea of Hunter being able to dash around. I think it’s balanced, since he originally didn’t have magic but thanks to Flapjack’s essence, he can use that to evade attacks, which works out since the magic he has access to is artificial and limited. Another thing to add to this theory is that Hunter can communicate with Flapjack in his mind. This can be supported by how all the palismen souls were stuck in Belos’ mind. Besides, I think it’s wholesome to think of Hunter chatting with his old buddy about all the cool stuff he’s doing :3
Hear me out, similar to what Dragon Ball Z Abridged did with Piccolo after his fusions, Hunter occasionally turns to Flapjack for advice, which the other characters only learn about after overhearing him say "Got it!" before making a move that very much doesn't seem like his typical course of action

if it is confirmed that Caleb is the ancestor of the Clawtorn, imagine that it is revealed that each grimwalker was incomplete (Caleb's DNA was not enough) and Belos had to use the DNA of a witch to complete it and for the current Hunter Belos used the DNA of Eda or Lily making Hunter part of the Clawtorn family directly? (and that's why Belos told Hunter that he was the clone that most resembled his brother because he unknowingly used DNA from a descendant of Caleb)

I still think Hunter will end up in the Boiling Isles overall. In TtT, he talks about the hobby’s and the things he wants to do in life and they all include the boiling isles. Also, he talked about Darius early in the special and I think it’s likely Darius is a father figure to Hunter, along with his friends and possible gf(Willow) all staying in the BI. I think he is happy in the the human realm because he’s away from Belos, and I think he’d still live very happily in the BI as long as he’s away from Belos. Another thing, I don’t think I could live with hunter away from his friends, and I think it’s possible that may just never return to the human realm, I mean they’d send Camila and maybe Luz to talk to Vee but in the end the all stay in the BI for a very long time.

@@leonishikino6873 I entirely disagree with so very strongly, it’s a percentage so high it wouldn’t fit on a phone screen.
Luz is NOT gonna stay on Earth (VISIT, yes, thru a new permanent portal), but the BI is the place where she TRULY feels loved and belonged. It was a question of how to reconcile this with Camila, who we see has a newfound fascination with what Luz experienced in the Demon Realm.

The main reason I think Hunter might have magic is that his body is partly made from Palistrum wood, so Flapjack's magic could have kick started something within him
The original witches of the Boiling Isles didn't have a bile sack, and I always assumed that palistrom wood had something to do with how they gained them. So maybe Flapjack's magic gave hunter a bile sack

Old palismen tend to forget events of the past. Bat Queen doesn't remember her owner, I doubt Flap remembers Caleb or Evelyn and only has gut feelings and flashes when it comes to his past.

Dunno about him leaving the demon realm- yet. I think he’s gonna want to carve palisman and help the palistrum trees be replanted. Unless they fix the portal door I can’t see him choosing to go back until the palistrum forest were back to their former glory. Kinda feel like it was more about him being away from belos’ influence and having friends than earth itself. He even said to Belos he wants to carve palisman so I think he’s likely to either become dells apprentice in Eda’s place or the two learn together. Hell maybe Eda teaches him bc she did make her own. I just can’t see him choosing to leave magic behind bc its something he does love. He also said he wants to study wild magic- he can’t do that in the human realm. All signs point to me away from the human realm as home but more as a vacation kinda place for him.

i actually think his new palisman will be a blue jay, completing the color trifecta of birds (flapjack is red, dell's palisman is yellow, a bluejay would obviously be. blue) and keeping in line with the whole "birds are generally a clawthorne thing" thing. there was so much hype around luz's palisman being a blue jay, but now i'm thinking that's for hunter, and hers will be something else

Zeno Robinson (Hunter's voice actor) confirmed a while ago that Hunter is now officially adopted into the Noceda Family.
I hope that Hunter become an officialy member of the Noceda Family in the series finale
I think that Hunter would be able to have some small magic abilities just not as powerful as majority of the other witches perhaps healing abilities due to the fact that flapjack sacrificed himself to be able to heal Hunter, this would tie into Hunter redeeming himself by healing others wether it’s physically or mentally
I’m glad that the Wolf Theory is official now 🐺 Your predictions are pretty solid and well-explained. However, based on what Hunter told Belos about what he wants to do with his life in TtT, I actually think he’s going to stay in the Demon Realm and become the next Palisman carver, completely taking Dell’s place or working alongside Eda.

Small theory/thing I noticed. In thanks to them we see that not the titan itself, but it’s blood is what powers glyphs, and if glyphs work strongly everywhere in the boiling isles there must be many many more pockets of titan blood we don’t know about

For emotional reasons, I think it'll be that Flapjack gave him powers. Too soon for a new Palisman in my opinion.
My guess is that Luz and Hunter will split their time between the two realms, while Vee will stay in the human realm permanently. Hunter did say he wants to attend Hexside, and study wild magic, afterall.
i thought how hunter was made out of pailsmen wood because that one of the ingredients to making a grimwalker, he would have the powers of a pailsmen
@The Roundtable : Disagree mostly on several counts and would like anyone's take on my takeXD.
1. Yeah, I think it under sells how important his friends, crush and even team will be to him. Even with references to the Hellish training, Any Sport in a Storm was the first time that a Hunter focused episode was really, really light on the angst and if Hexside is in his future, plenty more good will be found.
If he gets his new Palisman it would likely be in the Isles, and as such it's another positive memory for it. Plus yeah, I kind of like the idea of potential grandfather/grandson bonding between Hunter and Dell.
2. And yes, the Human Realm an the few months he spent on it was (keyword being was) the most at peace he had been.
But aside from the shame he felt at the possibility of his other friends finding out he is a Grimwalker, it's where his Uncle took control of his body and kill edthe first person who truly cared about him.
And when all is said and done, a lot of his good fortune since Hunting Palisman goes back to Flapjack. Heck, Eclipse Lake where FJ acts up is him trying to goad Hunter into hooking up with a better crowd.
I think in the end Boiling Isles with the Human Realm being a regular home away from home.

It be pretty bittersweet if Hunter made a second Palisman and named it after Flapjack
he is made of palistrum. he can store magic in the same way a palisman can. and if not the palistrom then the galderstones. he has plenty of potentially functioning arcana.
I don’t think Hunter could emotionally bear making another palisman from scratch, because he wouldn’t want to feel like he’s _replacing_ Flapjack.
So I think he’ll either find another abandoned palisman with a familiar story (their witch had died), or Hunter will have gained the ability to use magic without a palisman since Flapjack became a part of Hunter.

Maybe either Eda or Darius could steal some palisman wood from the garden club again (probably a bit more easier since it might be abandoned do to the Collector taking over the Boiling Isles) and give it to Hunter so he can carve a new palisman.
I think Hunter will end up living at the Noceda house as the adopted brother of Luz and Vee.
I hope that happen in the series finale

I think there’s also a possibility of luz also teaching hunter how to use glyph magic too if the “being able to use magic because of flapjacks sacrifice” theory doesn’t quite work out
Considering the fact that flapjacks magic was used to help hunter purposefully it might change the effect on him I mean like the ones below killed were without consent. But hunters was different, flapjack purposefully gave up his life to bring hunter back so who knows
What’s sad is that we probably would’ve got a whole lumity-esc arc but with willow and hunter and got a knock knock knockin’ on hoodies door episode for them just to get together and we now only get 2 more episodes of them
There's also this idea floating around that Flapjack's magic would manifest in Hunter as his own sort of harpy form, strengthening the Caleb - Clawthorne connection.
(not to mention making him even more like another Zeno Robinson character...)
I do think the super speed is one of hunter's techniques. it has nothing to do with how it is powered.
My little headcanon thing about who’s gonna stay in what realm is just that they build a permanent portal or they all just have their own and can travel between realms whenever they want. And so Hunter and Willow live in the human realm and Willow owns a garden shop while Hunter is the emperor of the Boiling Isles. Luz and Amity live in the demon realm, Amity is the principal of Hexside and Luz is a traveling agent for people who want to use a portal. And Gus works two jobs, In the demon realm he is a new reporter just like his dad and in the human realm he is an animator at Disney.
Also, there's the fact that Hunter is a Grimwalker. They're made of the same wood as the palismen, right? And Philip, although maybe not fully human anymore, wasn't made of wood. So, perhaps the wild magic will act differently for the two of them. Maybe Hunter will have the same powers as Philip, but without the horrible curse or other problems. Maybe the wild magic will favor Hunter more, since he is more magicly made than Philip ever was
Well, I actually do have an interesting Idea for hunters future.
The mouse doesn't really has a history of being shy, when it comes to killing of loving parents and one of the most caring and powerful mothers in the show is the Bat-Qeen.
I know there are no indicates so far, that something bad will or has happened to her while the time skip, but if she did die while protecting her loved once from the collector or will die in the finale fight against Belos, Hunter would be the perfect fit for taking over the legacy of taking care of all the broken and abandoned Palismans.
He could even do it in the human world, turning the Owl Club-House into a Palisman-Orphanage.
Oh it has to be a wolf 💙 a guard and a friend, what more could he ask for?

These corporations really need to figure out that content creators like you are helping their bottom line, not hurting it.
Hunter having flapjacks powers has to be the best solution, showing that flapjack is always with him. I mean a wolf would be cool aswell, I wonder what that palisman abilities are
I hope Hunter stays on earth, he became more happy and he has a lot of more nerdy interests, that I’m sure a lot of kids at Luz’s school who are like the things he does as well. I can see him getting a long with them very well too,same with Willow if she comes back as well. I just want Hunter to be happy and I do hope he’ll get a new palisman and maybe it’ll be a wolf. Hunter could possibly have his last name be Noceda-Clawthrone if it's confirmed that Evelyn is an ancestor of the Clawthrone family.
I think his last name' going to be Deamonne / Noceda - Deamonne. Caleb has a relationship with the Clawthornes yes but Hunter isn't Caleb, that's the whole arc of Hunter. We need to seperate Hunter from Caleb unlike Belos who never bothered.

i believe that hunter gaining magic makes more sense, his biology is similar to a palisman from what i can tell, that's why the sacrifice worked to begin with, so theoretically, he should be able to cast to begin with, but i imagine that due to the complexity and even more artificial aspects tied to the grimwalker biology, he may not have been able to do so previously, but with how much of his body has been irreversibly changed already, being regrown by willow, he might be even more palisman than before, since the scars already look somewhat like palistrom wood. overall, i don't see flapjack being replaced, especially not anytime soon, like, who's going to replace someone that important to them that quickly? even if a palisman is a tool that they need for magic, i think that using an artifical one for the time being is probably going to be less painful than finding a palisman to replace his friend

as for the ending I feel that doing an Amphibia or a Star Vs ending would have the fans cry "Unorginal" so they need a new twist. I also heard the story is about "Dealing with loss" so I'm still putting all deaths on the table.
Even if they close the gate at the end all they need is to find a clue to open a new gate in the post credits.
New and adopted Palisman are both good ideas. Wolf is a strong one if he doesn't get to use Dell's bird.

Hunter did straight up say he wants to attend Hexside, study wild magic, and continue playing sports with his friends. I could easily see him staying on the isles, or floating between the two realms if the option presents itself

That was the saddest part of The Owl House for me because a red cardinal was my dad's favorite animal before he passed.
I'm sure it won't happen, but it'd be dope to see Hunter go full Hawks, with giant red wings sprouting out of his back that he can use to fly around, and even rock the same or similar outfit to Hawks with the jacket and glasses.
As for where Hunter will end up in the end, I've long theorized that he'd return to Earth, at least for a while, to live with Vee and Camila, though it was to learn more about Caleb and explore Earth more, but also because Camila's kindness had such a huge impact on him. Luz would remain in the Demon Realm with Amity, Eda, and King, as well as Lilith and Raine along with all the friends she's made. My thinking on that now is Camila could very well be who ultimately convinces her to stay. So Camila would return to Earth, and Hunter would interject he wants to go back with her for the reasons I mentioned above.
Though as for Hunter's connections to the Demon Realm, he does have a few good ones. Willow is perhaps the biggest one, if Huntlow is confirmed canon which does seem evident at this point, but also his new father figure Darius as well as the friends he's made, namely the Emerald Entrails (Gus, Skara and Viney). So where he ends up could go either way at this point.
Whatever happens, I do feel there'll be a way to travel between the two realms, likely through a new portal door. My theory is every so often (like every few months) Luz and Amity, sometimes with Willow and Gus (and maybe others), journey to Earth for several days or more to visit Camila, Hunter and Vee to check on them and bring Vee some new magical items. Though here Hunter and Vee would be living in Luz's old room, utilizing the bunk bed. Both could pass for Camila's adopted kids, and maybe Camila would even officially adopt them and thereby make them officially Luz's siblings.
Hunter won't be able to learn wild magic on Earth, carve Palismen, attend Hexside, or play flyer derby.
His voice actor even confirmed that he's now a noceda practically canalizing that he is now related to luz and Vee
except that's not how it works.

VAs can like headcanons but are fans of the product just as much as we are and they don't have the power to make anything canon themselves. And he only had it for a short moment after people started doxx Lunter shippers because of this, plus he can be a troll at times. Zeno is great, but don't take him seriously, he's a teasing comedian overall unless he speaks about human rights, which anti-Lunters invalidate.

I'm not sure drawing a 1-1 comparrison with Flapjacks sacrifice would/should be drawn with Belos consuming palisman souls. Flapjack willingly gave his life force and as a result, the magic is probably a lot more stable and not as volitile as philips. also, he consumed a TON whereas hunter presumably only has 1
I think Hunter will receive some abilities from flapjack. The reason I say this is because when Belos took the lives of palacemen, he turned into a monster. This is because they were not given to him willingly but instead, he took them by force. Hunter, on either hand, was on the verge of death and flapjack gave his life willingly to his friend. If taking palacemen life turns you into a monster. Then it's safe to say giving it willingly can give you abilities. I like to think if hunters uncle sees him using flapjacks abilities, he may be pissed off because that's what he wanted originally. We don't actually know why belows started eating palacemen to begin with.

Do you think that Hunter would definitely ditch the bird motif for a wolf canine motif and forge his own destiny to distance himself from his past of being part of the emperor's coven whose guards always dress up as chickens (I mean this as a joke) and Belos is themed on a deer of which wolves eat .

Even if no Palisman would have sacrificed itself for Belos/Philip perhaps in his observations throughout the years he witnessed a witch be saved by their own palismen.
this can explain why Belos takes everyone's palismens. 1 - He himself gains the ability to use magic by absorbing the life-essence of the magical creatures/staffs. 2 - It vastly disempowers any witches that could oppose him because they would lose their ability to regenerate, basically gaining an extra life through the sacrifice of their familiar/magic tool. Which then would make them easier to kill off as a whole.
Cause who wants to deal with enemies who have a possibility of having an extra life and having to battle them all over again.
So BECAUSE absorbing palismen DOES give Belos magical powers, I wouldn't see why Hunter would be excluded from that. We don't know exactly how Grimwalkers are made and how that could effect what powers he would get or how they would manifest.
I personally think Hunter will stay in the Boiling Isles. While I could see Hunter's happiness in Thanks to Them be referring to him being happy in the human realm, I don't see it that way. I think it was more of a "I'm happy to be away from Belos" rather than "I'm happy to be away from the Boiling Isles." The scenes with Hunter sewing the wolf shirt and cosplaying as O'Bailey looking in the mirror were moments that focused more on Hunter coming to terms with his grimwalker identity. Plus Hunter had a long speech to Belos about wanting to carve palismen and attend Hexside. It would be odd for Hunter to have a sudden change of heart and realize he wants to stay in the human realm instead. Hunter values his friends, so he'll probably want to be with them (especially Willow). I do agree that there will be a portal that allows characters to travel back and forth though, so maybe Hunter will visit the human realm a decent amount (especially with Willow's "we'll be back" line at the end of Thanks to Them). Plus Hunter tells himself "Time to go home Flap" while walking through the portal.
As for the power up? I'm predicting Harpy Hunter. Hunter's lack of magic seems to be a metaphor for a disability, and I feel like giving Hunter the ability to do magic would take that away. I'd be ok with the dash from Flapjack though. But Harpy Hunter to me would be a good way to power up Hunter while still keeping the metaphor. It would also be a Clawthorne parallel with Eda. I would think it would activate if Belos were to try to attack Willow if he saw them develop a closer bond, because Flapjack all those years ago failed to protect Caleb when Caleb tried to prevent Belos from hurting Evelyn.
I feel like hed end up with another bird rather than a wolf. The wolves represent a pack that hunter suddenly had, so I think for himself it would be something bird like which follows not only flap jack but also his clawethorne lineage. Maybe itll be some sort of hawk, or another song bird? I think it would fit him pretty well if it was a harpy eagle or secretary bird. Something big and related to eagles, maybe a golden eagle given his time as the golden guard?
I realized we still don't know who the originator of the portal door Eda had. Did it only open to the house in the woods? Is this another proof Evelyn might be a Clawthorne? Are there multiple doors, lol?
As a theorist (but not a theorist) I think Hunter will stay in the human realm, but lose any magic because of it, therefore needing a palisman. Flapjack will live on in some way, maybe Hunter having an article of clothing that looks like Flapjack or has an emblem resembling Flap, but Hunter will carve a wolf, probably the wolf will have black fur as seen on the shirt Hunter sewed, and Luz will probably watch him carve it because that’s Luz nature and Willow will help him and it’ll turn into a Huntlow/Winter scene.

I think it would be really cool if Hunter apprenticed under Eda’s dad and learned how to carve Palismans. When he is fighting against Belos’ possession, Hunter screams how he wants to learn how to make Palismans, and from a thematic perspective, the beginning of his story has him hunting down Palismans for Belos to consume, so having his epilogue be learning how to craft and create them instead of aiding in their destruction would be so cathartic to see. He and Eda or he and Willow could tend to a new forest of Palistrom wood so wild magic could begin to flourish once more, and young witches could continue the tradition of receiving their own Palismans (on top of the adoption efforts with the Bat Queen.)
In terms of where we see him living, I’d really like Hunter to stay with Luz and Camilla. Luz has already named him family, and unlike the other characters, he has no parents or family of his own to return to after Belos is defeated. While living in Caleb’s old house is an interesting theory, I just find it kind of sad to imagine this young, traumatized teen living there alone. Plus, it would be hard to move on from his past if he’s constantly in a house that belonged to the man his existence was created to mimic, you know?

After reading Allegiant - Victoria Roth - I have the feeling some kid is gonna die, it’s not going to be Amity, Gus, Luz, Hunter, or Willow that leaves Vee, she could die as a sacrifice to save the rest of her friends.

im not sure he'd get a palisman, because if Luz does end up having her's hatch, then Hunter also getting another would kinda feel like Luz's isn't special, as well as "wow that was fast getting over Flapjack". Since they only have 2 more episodes, I can't see it being done smoothly? idk
