It’s not about quantity it’s about quality and as long as you’re enjoying your reads that’s all that matters! 💕 Some months I read a lot of books and others I only get through 3 as well so I relate to you! I also beat myself up about it but there’s no need 😊
I’m glad I’m not the only one who only read 3 books this month and struggled. Hopefully we both have better November’s! PS....READ YEAR OF THE WITCHING! 😂😘
Quality over quantity that's what counts enjoy what you read. Heck I was in a very bad reading slimp and only read 20 some book a year for good reads challenge.
There’s a time and a place for pop culture references. Not when telling myths. My favorite book I read this month was definitely The final empire by Brandon Sanderson
My favorite read of October was The Girl Who Drank the Moon and I believe it was recommended by you (I could be wrong). Either way it was wonderful and I enjoyed it so much!
The Once and Future Witches sounds really interesting! I've never heard of it before and I'll have to check it out. Thank you for your review of Zeus is a Dick. I had seen the book and wondered if it was any good. And the story of Persephone and Hades has always bothered me that it's been romanticized.
honestly the fanfic-like, completely uncritical way that people romanticise hades and persephone's story has always bothered me. i'm absolutely not against retellings, in fact i love them! but the way this story specifically has been claimed by internet culture and is pretty much taken as the "official" one (i've seen people say it's the original and right one over and over again, which... is a big claim to make) just bothers me, and even keeps me from enjoying most retellings of this specific myth. anyway sorry vdhskjvhf loved the video, and can't wait to read once and future witches :-)
As a foreigner it is so funny to see all the UK booktubers uploading these videos in a row where they are annoyed by the fireworks 😂 🎇✨🎆 I know, I can only laugh at it because I didn't have to endure it, if it were me I'd be pissed too 🙄
These violent delights seems so interesting!
it was spellbinding!!
The fact that you loved the books you read this month makes up for how many books you read. Don’t beat yourself up over it! Let yourself enjoy it

The Once and Future Witches sounds like something I'd love to read! I hadn't heard of it before, but the title alone has me intrigued :)
Once and future Witches sounds so up my alley!
