I like the 2x2 snap cases like the Lighthouse Quadrum, Guardhouse Tetra or BCW. You can hold 20 per page in the Lighthouse ENCAP Q52 plastic album pages.
I base my holders off what I consider special to me, or what is more special to me. Peace, Ase's and type set are all Dansco's. Mercs, Quarters and Cents are cardboard Whitman's. If I get enough bu condition coins for those denominations they graduate to a Dansco. Great video my friend. Thank you.

One word of caution, however, regarding the use of "slide"-type holders. Unless the slides are perfectly clean, particles of silica (sand) dust trapped between the coin and the slide will create parallel scratches on the coin surfaces as the slides are maneuvered back and forth during the insertion or removal of other coins. Using coin pages to store coins in coin flips ( as you show beginning at 3:08 ) is an excellent way to prevent this problem.

Great video ST. I prefer the options that allow you to see both sides of the coin. Had the other types for years and it always bugged me that I would have to pop the coin out to see the reverse.
Strong point. They're cheaper but there's a reason why.
Love the video. For my coin collection i use the flips. it adds a lot of extra protection. The cardboard holders are nice they let you know the mintage and history of the coin, but they have no protection for the coin.
I like to see some Dansco albums which is expensive . How to get maybe used Dansco cheap

Good video, but if you are using your bare fingers to strongly pressure the dimes into the openings, doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of having the protective slide-across plastic covering?
I mentioned in the video that “if you have better conditioned coins” the slide-type is beneficial for more protection.
Does the album add more value to the collection? Example -i had the entire set of Lincoln pennies done. I have a Dansco and a Littleton album filled. Which one is worth more?
The type of album may be less important than it being filled and the quality of coins... unless the type of album is a slide vs fold.. in which case it could add a little value
Would love for you to do a quarter album how to.... my Washington proofs were a pain to insert without bending the album :/

I love the cardboard albums for kids. If they show interest in the hobby start cheap and get the cardboard. If their interest wanes, then no worries move on. If they keep showing interest then invest in the better albums like from Dansco etc...
I love the Whitman albums. I just wish they made slipcases for them.

Great video friend!...my daughter ans I recently started full book collections of pennies and half dollars...and its been a blast !...great learning tools fir children...great hobby for children with their parents...we hope soon to also start the dime and nickel book sets as well...maybe quarters, but sye already has the big state quarter map and the big state park quarter map...also very fun to do...I encourage all to sit dien with their kids and use theae book sets to habe fun,create lifelong memories, and have souvenir of the moment saved by the collection you build...

I got a Roosevelt folder from Whitman and I cannot get the dimes in the hole to save my life. The holes are way too small.

Sometimes the holes are tight. You sure you can’t push them into it?
Lol man, I gave it my all. Even tried using a plastic coin tube as a press and multiple holes all wouldn't budge. It's like the holes are about a millimeter or two short all the way around. Just thought it was odd, my peace dollars fit easily in their Whitman album so 🤷♂️

Nice album, Mercury dimes are a wonderful series to start with as they are plentiful, have few key dates, and usually affordable in higher grades. Sounds like you're getting better, take care.
