I have always bought Miele appliances exclusively, but sadly there seems to be a recent trend towards compromising on materials. The washing machines always used to have a full stainless steel door surround and hinges, they have now gone to silver plastic instead. Same on the dryers. They have always been a premium product and people have been happy to pay their prices for precisely that reason. It seems they are moving towards focusing on price over quality, which I think will be a massive mistake.
It is indeed pretty depressing, but not only Miele does this tho. As long as they stay in Germany their quality will still be superior. Sadly Miele is the only one who makes kitchen and other appliances in Europe.
I'm happy with my high wattage Miele cleaners. Especially the 2200 watt machines with the hardwood twister nozzle or the turbo head for carpets. For me it's difficult to understand why we're not allowed to use high power vacuum cleaners for an hour ones a week, but at the same times we're almost pushed into driving electric cars with extremely high wattage chargers
Its just the controlling elite flexing there muscles .AS far as cars go maybe its time petrol /diesel engines should be limited to a max CC .A few hundreds watts less on vacuum cleaners not going to make much difference to enviroment .For every 1000 vacuums being used at any one time there is probably a million cars ,and like you say battery cars use a lot of power to recharge
My Miele is almost identical. Except it isn’t a cat and dog and it’s red. It is 4 year old now. Has the metal floor head and 2000watt motor, Australian market.
I love this model of Miele, think it’s their best cleaner to date....... I’ve got a spare one still in it’s box for just in case my present one dies......
Hi Roger, i need small help, my granda's water filtration vacuum (it was some NoName from 2010 from internet) burned out it's motor. And my grandpa hates bags. I need some cylinder cyclone or water filtration vacuum under 120$. Do you know some vacuum that would be great for my granda? Thanks!
Hopefully not, there's a reason why power was limited as high wattage motors were used to overcome shortcomings in the design of certain vacuums, just look at one of beko1987's recent videos of a Russel Hobbs high wattage bagless vacuum, an original henry with the 800W motor probably has a lot more suction.
In America we pay so much more for Miele vacuum. Guessing because of the import/export tariffs or fees. That model you have in this video would probably cost between $399 to $599 in America. Also now with COVID19 getting anything from the UK we are talking $100 to $250 shipping cost
They gave this serie a new look. The exhaust has larger holes. And hose inlet is black from the inside. The power increase from silent ear to wall to wall carpet is huge I believe ear setting is 550 watt and from then it goes with 2 settings from 550 watt to 890 watt. Don't know why I owned vacuums with 2200 watt is only producing heat and tearing away carbon brushes. Still have my 2200 watt Philips fc 9170 but that's more of collector mindset cause it's so good and the noise that motor makes. This is basically identical unit to my Miele S5281 only with a lower wattage motor to meet new regs. It was a fantasic vacuum and highest setting could lift carpets with Turbo brush.

My friends have the exact same one, not sure the difference between a 1200W and a 900W would be massive. The 1200W certainly copes fine

Does Miele still build high powered vacuum cleaners with 230v for non EU Countries for instance Russia, Australia and now the UK?

Miele C3 model is made in Germany and is more refined with better features for a little more money.
Slazem se. A mislim na one starije modele koji su Imali do 2200w. Danas je to 800w maksimalno.
