I loved the movie. It is a heartwarming and feel-good movie. It is too bad that you couldn't connect with the characters. They chose compassion over a medal, so that is how they went from being superficial athletes to compassionate human beings.
I am not into the running world but I will say the reviewer just doesn't understand that is how they are. I saw the movie yesterday and TBH he is not wrong just saying he obviously doesn't get the way those people feel/are about their running. The dog was the only actor I really cared about and because of the dog it was worth seeing. That dog could elicit emotions from me and my friends that were real.
Hey. Yes, I agree about the dog. And for the people I understand there is probably a lot of ambition and sacrifice to be the best and win, but, and maybe I didn't say this correctly, I felt like the most interesting part that the movie just glossed over was how it affects their personal lives. Like at one point Wahlberg says he stole 50 grand out of a joint family account to participate in this race and it just seems like this guy wasn't just about winning but he had some issues with winning that were probably affecting his entire marriage.
Hey. Can you please review some older comedy movies? Like... See Spot Run, Dude Where's My Car, Scooby-Doo (2002) and stuff...

Glad you liked it. I understood it, I just felt it was lazy.
