As Gossip Cop has reported, Laura has stunned the judges time and again with the powerful voice that comes out of her 14-year-old body. She impressed Mel B so much during the auditions, that the Spice Girl made Bretan her Golden Buzzer pick for the season. That sent the opera singer straight to the quarterfinals, at which point she won over America.
Laura pulled off another chilling rendition of an opera classic, and with her dress lighting up, she actually looked like Cinderella. She was the fourth act of the night to take the stage, and the performance led to the fourth standing ovation in a row.
“This is ridiculous,” Simon Cowell exclaimed afterward. He went on to say that he doesn’t know much about classical music, but “what I do know is we are seeing somebody who is extraordinarily talented.”
Howie Mandel remarked, “You were brilliant. You were perfect. That was a million-dollar performance.” He then marveled, “We’ve seen four million-dollar performances.” Mel B said she felt Bretan’s “nerves little bit tonight, but every single note you hit with such accuracy… What a performance!”
And Heidi Klum adorably told Bretan, “Tonight, you look like a princess, but you ruled the stage like a queen. I’m going to be your fairy godmother right now and say bippity, boppity, boo - I hope everyone votes for you!”
Without offending or upsetting anyone, is this the birth of a young Maria Callas.

If Europe had voted Laura Breton would have blown the others out of the water as the saying goes. I'm Canadian and here and in the USA not enough people recognize true talent. Laura has gone on to show AGT and America her amazing talent. She sings like an angel. I'm a 62 year male and Laura brings me to tears. If I'm having a tough day I listen to her sing and everything is alright in the world again.
@@YThome7 Grace van set waal& I think Grace won bc although they both are skilled& talented performers,Grace wrote a lot of her songs-both lyrics&melody. That adds several layers to her talent that I think prompted her win. Also it is true that Opera s not as well appreciated as it should be in USA vs Europe& other areas of the world.

A 14 year old immigrant middle schooler makes her debut on AGT. So outwardly humble and shy as to totally disarm the most hardened viewer. She opens her mouth and from it cascades a sound to shame the Angels in heaven. More passion and joy than is contained within the human soul. After rendering an unimaginable performance, this charming cherub sweetly dismisses this well deserved onslaught of adulation. NOT BAD HUH? It gets better. All this is contained inside a young woman so beautiful as to defy her very existence. If this sounds like hyoerbole, take one look at the 21 year-old Laura Bretan now. INCOMPREHENSIBLE. Just as impossible to believe as her AGT defeat. Laura Bretan is too good to be true. All those who didnt vote for this young paragon simply couldnt grasp the truth.

Both, Laura and Jackie should won AGT, by far ...but they performed opera and this musical genre has very few adepts.
Jackie was the first who sacrificed her voice for crossover and pop crap genres, and I think Laura will be next (I'm not sure yet) because, recently, she performed only pop.

As she started to sing I got a lump in my throat, tears in my eyes and my body covered in goosebumps!!! For reasons I do not understand she did not win this competition but this beautiful young opera singer is destined to be applauded in all the great Opera Houses around the world. I am confident Ms. Laura has the blossoming talent, grace and poise to become one of THE most important singers of our time....so, with that said, I'm going to have another listen and break out the tissue box...for this wonderful performance brings me to tears...

My Mum started her professional singing career at the age of 13 yrs - sang in a concert with Julie Andrews, and Vera Lynn, but in those days there was no such thing as talent shows like X Factor or BGT. This is so moving, and reminds me of my mum at that age.

Now 7 years after watching her first performance on AGT I have just watched Laura's "After the Rain ""video which was released this week. Her evolution to one of worlds best singers continues! What a gift to the world! And she is armed with a radiant smile that sweeps you gently off your feet!

Of all the arias, this one is my favorite, I have listened to many different and various performers and performances of this piece... and this one was absolutely astounding... perfect, Maria Callas and Sarah Brightman would be very impressed.
Why she didn't win is only proof that our society is in moral decline, a tail spin if you will.
I would love to listen to this young extremely talented voice sing other arias.

We didn't have cameras and cell phones pointed at everyone in past times so you have to read to see people were just as immoral in the past. The difference now is the church's aren't as full. I tend to believe Fatima and Garabandal. Nostrodamus's version is shocking but other messages say only a few nukes used.

So, I just discovered Laura tonight, first watching her amazing AGT audition, and then watching this absolutely stunning performance. I've watched a LOT of AGT, BGT, *GT videos, and I know this isn't your "go to" to find classically trained talent, but I've also sat in many classical vocal auditions. I do not throw out these superlatives mindlessly, and I usually chafe when I hear these *GT judges predict amazing futures for a performer. But I am just completely blown away by Laura's talent, especially at such a young age. I was literally shaking in my seat as she neared the end of this performance. Tears in my eyes. I didn't think it was possible that a voice from such a young girl could have that much maturity. I really hope her vocal instructors know what they are doing with someone this young. I thought her smiling through O Mio Babbino Caro a little odd, but it's obvious she knows she is giving the performance of a lifetime, and I certainly can't blame her for failing to contain her joy. And what joy she has! She is such a joy to watch as well. I look forward with excitement to seeing her perform in the future.

I care not about the niceties of operatic classifications of voices, this young lady has a voice in millions, and the stage presence of some of the finest singers I have ever heard. Just listen and enjoy, what a privilege to hear her.
