      @@dragongreen51 i wonder how its going with the captive breeding. For the past week live aquaria has been posting yellow and blue hippo captive bred ones om the divers den and they all look terrible the yellows all have damaged or deformed fins and all the blue ones have HLLE SCARS

      @@danielaleman2367 I believe that for the parents to breed they newd to do some sort of aggressive dance or whatnot, this is tangs that we are talking about. For the offspring, I have mo idea.

    Of the tangs put into an tank that is to small it has to be por Dory! I have seen her in 50 gallons before I am sure. I know it very common for the yellow tang, and that is sad but at least the yellow dosnt grow up to 12 inches. I just got myself a 90 gallon mainly to get a yellow tang! I wasnt going to go that big but I figured tanks only go from 36 in to 48 anyway, so since I have to go 48 than may as well get a 90 versus 55 and 75, not to mention I got a crazy deal on a used one! !90 gallons is 10 gallons short but I am not going to go to crazy with rockwork! I think I am going to get a cole tang as well. Any advice for bigger fish or mid or clownfish size that are community and reef safe beside yellow and kole tang for a 90 gallon? Might want to do a top 10 if havnt already on fish for larger tanks! Are dwarf angels not a good choice? Like coral beauty or flame and what about a flame hawkfish?

    • @BlueCarbonReefing
      @BlueCarbonReefing 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Pacific blue was introduced first and the blonde naso was second. All of the zebrasomas (Yellow, purple, and desjardini) were introduced at the same time. Typically I like to introduce the less aggressive tangs first then work my way up the line. Feeding is also important. Most of the aggression comes from food. Feeding a lot of algae and other things typically settles the aggression down. I also have an orange shoulder tang which I introduced most recent but I chose a small one so the other tangs would not feel as threatened by his presence. I am looking at an Acanthurus (achilles, powder blue, or sohal) last as they are typically most aggressive but I may choose a small one again so he doesn't think he is king of the tank for a little while. A little planning and a little luck.

    Please guide on adding fish order please. Iam setting up a 180gallon tank with minimalist rock structure. Similar to luo's reek tank. Sump is 65 gallon with brick media.. skimmer and refug.
    I want to keep 2 sets of clown fish occerlaris pair and black ice pair. Blonde Naso , powder blue,yellow, regal, one bristletooth(either 2 spot or sqaure tail)(maybe sailfin or not if advise). And six line, red coris and a pair of leopard wrasse. 2 or 3 blue green chromis. A foxface. A schooling banner. I like my wrasse and tangs very much. Please advise the order/method to put tanks. I plan to get small or juvenile if possible. Also please any utilitarian fish would be appricated.
